Brooks Nader is still walking down the runway of Miami Swim Week’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway show. “Still not over it,” the model captioned a video and photo on her Instagram account, flaunting her curves in a two–piece. How does the swimsuit model maintain her fit physique? Read on to see 7 ways Brooks Nader stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Eats Healthy

Brooks detailed her healthy diet to Sports Illustrated. “For breakfast, I usually have avocado toast with a poached egg and coffee,” she said. “Lunch typically consists of a salad or sandwich. For my salad, I usually create my own from Sweetgreen or Chop’t [in NYC] with kale, spinach, romaine, tomatoes, jalapenos, onions, bell peppers and balsamic dressing. Otherwise, my sandwich is chicken salad.” And for dinner? “I love having a rice bowl, sushi or pasta for dinner. The rice bowl I usually get from Cava, and it comes with white rice, crazy feta, chicken, onions, tomatoes and spicy peppers.”

2. She Hydrates

First thing in the morning, Brooks takes a probiotic with a large glass of water. She continues hydrating throughout the day, carrying a gallon water bottle with her and sipping on it throughout the day. “I don’t always get through it, but I try,” she told Sports Illustrated.

3. She Does Intermittent Fasting

Brooks does intermittent fasting. “I start eating at 12 p.m. and have my last meal at 8 p.m.,” she told Spors Illustrated. “So it’s only an eight-hour eating period.”

4. She Doesn’t Diet

Brooks told Fox News she doesn’t believe in dieting. Instead, she focuses on portion control. “I try to do everything in moderation and not limit myself too much. If I want a sweet I’ll just have portion control and have a little bit of a cupcake instead of four cupcakes,” she said. “I think that you can totally drive yourself crazy if you go on insane diets for long periods of time. You’re just going to crack. It’s taken me a while to just do everything in moderation — try to eat healthy as much as you can.”

5. She Has “Cheat Days”

She also slips in cheat days. “This is so weird, but I love McDonald’s,” she told Fox News. “I eat cheeseburgers and french fries from McDonald’s on my cheat days, which people might find gross. But I love McDonald’s and I love pizza and I love wine. So that would probably be my meal, a very weird meal.”

6. She Boxes

Nader revealed to Daily Mail that she is a fan of a certain fighting form of fitness. “I love boxing!” she said. “I’ve been training with Rob [Piela] at Gotham Gym since I moved to NYC and I’ve found it really helps strengthen, tone me and help keep my endorphins going which is my main goal. … I’ve gotten more into working out since I started modeling. It’s a great way to relieve stress. If I’ve had a long day, I just punch it out in the boxing ring.”

7. She Avoids Sugar and Dairy

Delicious,Crispy,Fried,Chicken,With,Coleslaw,And,Corn,On,TheShutterstock

“I try and stay away from sugar and dairy but if I have a craving, I’ll definitely satisfy it,” she added to Daily Mail. "Any ‘diet’ a person goes under should just consist of healthy eating, but don’t beat up yourself if you need to satisfy that fried chicken craving — I am Southern after all.”

Moore is all about self-confidence. She talked about this in the caption of her recent Instagram video. Moore writes, “I didn’t find figure flattering bikinis. Because my figure is always flattering. I didn’t hesitate to put on a bikini and flail in the waves. Because any hesitation would cut into my joy. Your body is ready. Your suit is perfect. Go put it on and have FUN.”

2. She’s Not Embarrassed

Moore works on TV, and things sometimes go wrong. However, she doesn’t let herself get embarrassed by what happens. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram video. “I rarely get embarrassed anymore. I don’t feel mortified often, because I’m human, and confident, and prone to mistakes or extra cake, or tripping on a sidewalk or whatever. This is life. Things won’t fit. I will trip. I will say the wrong thing and get a burst of panic sweat…But I’ll recover and move on because humility and confidence is a wild combo. If you make the choice to not feel stupid…But lean into feeling human instead…All the little embarrassing things just become part of a colourful life. So you’re not stupid. You’re human.”

3. She Enjoys Going To The Gym

Moore makes sure to go to the gym. And she enjoys doing so. Moore posted this workout video on Instagram. She captioned the post, “I move at 120 pounds. I move at 210 pounds. I move at every weight in between. I enjoy my body. I enjoy a body in movement. I enjoy the endorphin kick.”

4. She Goes On Walks

One thing Moore enjoys doing is going on walks, especially when it’s warm out. She shared this video of herself going on a walk with her dog in the park on Instagram. Moore captioned the post, “Summer is sweet because a good time is as simple as throwing on flip flops and walking to the park. Seeing the city gathered on the side of a hill to witness nature at its best? I’m here for it.”

5. She Makes Time For Herself

Moore has a busy schedule, but she still makes sure to make time for herself. She shared one of her tips in this Instagram video. “Wanna know how to make an 8am kid’s activity meditative? Drop them off. Fill up their water bottle. Kiss them. And if you have one…Go to your car. Snacks, music, books and solitude await. Hanging out alone in the car is absolutely self care. Moms have been doing this forever…But now social media has named it: Parking Lot Self Care.”

Nina Dobrev, star of the Netflix hit Love Hard, was with boyfriend Shaun White at the Olympic games, cheering on the legend—but on social media, she was underwater, swimming with sharks. Dobrev was just one of many celebs who shared photos of themselves from tropical locales—in her case, on a tour with One Ocean Diving, in a throwback photo. We also spotted Ashanti in paradise, Dua Lipa and Chantel Jeffries in Miami, and many more. How do they all stay so fit while keeping so busy? 1. Nina Dobrev

nina-dobrev-1Nina Dobrev/Instagram

When it comes to her diet, Dobrev says that she has changed her outlook on eating in recent years. “I used to eat three full meals and then I would not be able to move after each meal,” she told Shape. “I would be so full and tired. Now, I eat all the time but portion control is what’s important for me—I’m eating more in total but not more at a time.” "A portion is the amount of food you put on your plate, while a serving is an exact amount of food. To get a better handle on what you're eating, you could carry around measuring cups. Or you could use everyday objects as reminders of appropriate serving sizes, which is what the Mayo Clinic Diet recommends," says the Mayo Clinic. "Many foods match up to everyday objects. For example, a medium pepper is about the size of a baseball and equals one vegetable serving. While not all foods match visual cues, this method can help you become better at gauging serving sizes and practicing portion control."

2. Ananya Panday

Actress Ananya Panday wore a tight yellow dress to advertise her latest film, Gehraiyaan, on Amazon Prime video on Instagram—and also shared a trailer from the movie. In addition to being an actress, Panday has also launched her own fitness program. 3. Luisa Collins

Luisa Collins enjoyed a drink in a jacuzzi this week, and she broke out her leopard print swimsuit to do so. When it comes to losing weight, Collins told the Daily Star that she likes to take supplements to prevent her from snacking too much. “When I take a Forza Raspberry Ketone in the morning and afternoon, my snacking habits are being curbed. They are like willpower in pill form. I feel more energized and taking the capsules has not really affected my lifestyle at all.”

4. Ashanti

Singer Ashanti wore a floral bikini and posed poolside on Instagram this week. In 2019, while promoting her film Stuck, she revealed to People that she made a lot of changes to her diet. “I cut out a lot of meat,” she said. “I think again, self-health and self-awareness are so important. All of that stuff is so important to maintaining your body, knowing what’s in your food, the GMO’s and the chemicals, and I’m super aware of this stuff.”

When you’re on a tour bus, every day and every place is different, so you never know what you’re going to find. That’s always one way to keep it interesting.”

7. Chantel Jeffries

Model and DJ Chantel Jeffries posted this bikini photo of herself and her friend, Cindy Kimberly, as they lounged on a pool chair. In a video for Pretty Little Thing, Jeffries revealed that she switches up her workouts to keep herself interested. “I like to hike, I like to skate, swimming, so that’s something to keep me motivated,” she said.

8. Sommer Ray

Fitness influencer Sommer Ray posted a gorgeous photo on Instagram of herself in a red bikini. Ray tells Life&Style magazine that she believes a healthy diet is the most important part of losing weight and staying in shape. "Diet is key. Diet plays a huge role in fitness. A lot of people go to the gym, work out really hard, then don't follow up with a good lifestyle. You can't expect a flower to grow without any water. Work out, but also take care of yourself.” Ray even has her own app where people can put in what they eat each day, and it will calculate the food’s nutritional value.

9. Teddi Mellencamp

After spending time in the Celebrity Big Brother house, Mellencamp revealed on Instagram that she had gained some weight and had slipped up on her diet. However, now that she’s home, Mellencamp says that she is making a healthy diet and lifestyle a main priority, but is not doing so to lose the weight she gained. “IT’S NOT ABOUT A NUMBER ON THE SCALE BUT HOW I FEEL WHEN I AM EATING CLEAN AND TAKING CARE OF MY BODY AND MIND - MY ANXIETY DECREASES,” she wrote. “TODAY I AM POSTING TO HOLD MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE TO MAKING MY OVERALL HEALTH A PRIORITY AGAIN. *even those of us who are “fitness influencers” go through different stages in our journeys.”

alessandra-ambrosio-1Alessandra Ambrosio/Instagram

She says that she prioritizes a balanced diet rather than a restrictive one. “Obviously I try not to splurge on pasta, but if I'm back in Brazil where everything is pasta- or bread-based—and so yummy—I'll eat whatever I want, then go back to lots of salads and chicken or fish with veg as soon as I'm back in L.A."

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
