Mixing Up Her Workouts

Delevingne loves Pilates, boxing, hiking, and tennis. "My workout routine isn't something that's fixed," she says. "I try to listen to my body and do at least 10 minutes of movement a day. It's hard to motivate yourself to work out when it's the same activity every day, so I can't stand going to the gym."

2

Yoga

Delevingne says yoga helps her get out of her head and into her body. "The evidence is showing that yoga really helps change people at every level," says Stanford University health psychologist and yoga instructor Kelly McGonigal, PhD. "In a yoga class, everyone is moving and breathing in at the same time and I think that's one of the undervalued mechanisms that yoga can really help with: giving people that sense of belonging, of being part of something bigger."

Martial Arts

Delevingne has practiced martial arts and self-defense for years, and is a yellow belt. "I wanted to be able to be strong and to defend myself," she says. "It's also interesting to learn about the history of the practice."

Scrambled Eggs and Bacon

Delevingne says scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast is her favorite breakfast. "Whole eggs are nutritionally rich, supplying almost every nutrient you need," says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. "They are useful sources of some of the hard to get nutrients like vitamins D and B12 as well as the mineral iodine. Eggs are regarded as a 'complete' source of protein as they contain all nine essential amino acids, which we must obtain from our diet. Furthermore, if you choose brands enriched with omega-3 fatty acids, due to the diet the chickens are fed, you'll benefit from higher omega-3 fatty acids as well as fat soluble vitamins such as vitamins A and E."

She Swims

Delevingne loves swimming as a gentle, low-impact exercise. "Many people say that by simply being in the water they feel more relaxed and less stressed," says swimming instructor Emily Morrissey. "Regular exercise helps reduce anxiety and depression, as it releases "feel good" hormones and keeps our brains working in a healthy way."
