"I'm doing intermittent fasting, which I didn't realize," Deeley admits. "But it seems to work really well for my body. I think I sleep better…I actually feel so much better as well rather than having a meal later on in the day at like eight-thirty or nine o'clock or whatever."
She Doesn't Obsess About Food
Deeley doesn't obsess over her diet. She tells Women's Health that she got this attitude from her mother. "She never made things 'bad'," Deeley explains. "Or never made things, you know, unobtainable or, you know, we were free to help ourselves whenever we wanted to. I think by doing that you kind of learn what makes you feel your body feel good and what makes you feel healthy. I like to listen to my body a lot."
She Loves Green Juice
Deeley tells Women's Health that she starts each day with a healthy beverage. "I have a green juice," she says. Deeley also shared her favorite recipe in the interview. "I have celery and cucumber, and a little bit of lemon juice and ginger." Juices are a great way to detox, especially in the morning. Also, a study in the National Library of Medicine states, "Vegetable/fruit juices provide polyphenols, oligosaccharides, fiber and nitrate (beet juice), which may induce a prebiotic-like effect."
She Loves Collagen
Deeley has amazing skin. She shared some of her favorite tips to MotherMag.com. One of Deeley's favorite products is collagen. "This strengthens your skin from within," Deeley explains. "It has also made my nails and hair so much stronger. I started using it after I had James and I have been very impressed."
She Owns Dogs
Deeley is a dog owner. She owns two, and she prominently features them on her Instagram. Deeley posted this photo of her two dogs in the park. She captioned the post, "Lil and Sid." The American Humane Society states that dogs can help with your overall health. "Dogs are high-energy companions, love to play and need exercise. People who own dogs get more activity in their day simply by making accommodations for their dog's lifestyle. According to the American Heart Association, dog owners are 54% more likely to get the recommended amount of exercise than their non-dog owning counterparts. As a result, and due to a stronger immune system from being exposed to pet fur and dandruff, many dog owners see a decrease in blood-pressure, triglycerides and cholesterol levels, making them less at risk for heart-disease."
