She Loves Yoga
Hummels opened up about her wellness in an interview with Mandala Fashion. She says that she loves to practice yoga as a way to stay in shape. "Yoga is important for me to keep myself physically healthy. I don't see any aspects of yoga that are critical. But I think you really have to believe in it." "Yoga offers physical benefits like increased flexibility, strength and blood flow. But practicing yoga has an abundance of psychological benefits, too. It boosts your mood, helps you manage stress and can help you get a better night's sleep," says the Cleveland Clinic.
She Meditates
Hummels tells Mandala Fashion that she also likes to meditate. She says that this helps with her wellbeing. "I live according to the yoga philosophy as best as I can, but I don't base my entire day-to-day life on it. To me, yoga is more of a medication, a natural remedy to keep my soul healthy. With yoga, I can consciously work on my inner self and bring myself back into balance."
She Ignores Criticism
Hummels ignores the people who criticize her.. She tells Mandala Fashion, "People who defame others, especially on the internet, are the real victims for me, because they are screaming for attention. Those of us out there shouldn't let that bother them. If you are happy with yourself, what others are criticizing won't affect you."
She's Tolerant
Hummels is a big believer in treating everyone with respect. "Above all, you should look after yourself and be mindful of your fellow human beings," she tells Mandala Fashion. "Tolerance is an important value for me. I am very careful to treat all people equally, to accept them as they are. It's important to me not to categorize anyone, you can see that on my Instagram profile – I want to be a role model for that. For me, there are no stereotypes, so I treat everyone with respect."
She Changed Her Diet
Hummels opened up about a thyroid disease she struggled with in an interview with FitForFun. She says that she changed her diet to help her get through this. "At the time I was ten kilos heavier," she says. "I only noticed it when my pants didn't fit anymore. I had to detoxify for a whole year and try to get my body burning again."
