She Prioritizes Fitness
Staying in shape isn't just about looks for Charli – it helps her on stage. "I perform in a really high octane and energetic type of way. So, for me, it's important to keep fit. Also, I find that if I don't exercise, I feel less awake. I try to workout five times a week because it really lifts my mood and makes me feel more positive. It's important for me to stay balanced," she told Forbes.
She Doesn't Stress Out About Her Diet
In an interview with the DailyMail Charli revealed that she tries not to put too much pressure on herself when it comes to her diet. "I think you've just got to do your thing. I mean I love pizza, and I think everyone is human and they go for that stuff," she said. "You shouldn't stress about that stuff."
It's All About Balance
Charli admits that it "is really hard" to workout all the time, "especially when I'm flying," she told Forbes. "And whilst I do really want to try to work out five days a week minimum, it's just not practical for me when I'm traveling so much. It's just a balance in life. Just making sure you take care of yourself. It often like starts really well and then as the tour progresses it gets a little bit harder. I try my best to kind of sustain throughout."
She Takes Workout Gear with Her Everywhere
One way she sets herself up for workout success while on the road? "I always take a yoga mat everywhere and do body-weight exercises. I try to do that before each show. It really works for me," she told Forbes.
She Hydrates and Sleeps
Two of her cures for jet lag are also great health habits. "Jet lag is really hard. I try my best to get on the new time zone as soon as possible and just sleep when I need to sleep. Also, drinking lots of water," she told Forbes.
Dancing Is Her Cardio
Charli admits that her main form of Cardio is dance. "I guess being on stage is like exercise," she told the DailyMail. One study "suggested that the aerobics and hip-hop dancing groups rated positive well-being higher than the body conditioning and ice skating groups. Immediately after exercise, psychological distress was rated lower in the aerobics and hip-hop dancing groups, as was fatigue."
