Chelsea Handler is hitting slopes—in her swimsuit! The 46-year-old comedienne flaunted her incredibly fit figure in a two-piece while skiing in the mountains, holding some gag props. “I just found out that due to popular demand we are adding a SECOND Los Angeles show on May 5th. To celebrate, I thought why not ski through the woods….” How does she keep herself so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Chelsea Handler stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Eats Several Times a Day

"I eat every three to four hours," Chelsea revealed to Women’s Health. "I always make sure I have something every three to four hours because a nutritionist once taught me it's the best way to control your blood sugar levels."

2. She Pays Attention to When She Is Full

Chelsea makes sure to pay attention to her body when it comes to hunger. "I think when you consistently feed your body, you have less of an inclination to [pig out]," she told Women’s Health. "I like to eat light and I don't overdo it now. When I'm eating, I take my time and pay attention to when I'm full."

3. She Does Intermittent Fasting

Chelsea puts off eating until later in the day. "I usually have fresh celery juice first thing in the morning and don't eat anything for a few hours,” she told Women’s Health about her informal method of intermittent fasting. "I try and go for as long as I can without eating in the morning," she explains. Once a week, she even waits until 3 or 4 p.m for her first meal.

4. She Hydrates

Chelsea is all about hydration, infusing her water with flavor. "I have water in my fridge that has lemon, lime, and cucumber," she says. "I'm not a fan of water, so in order to drink it I have to doctor it up. I have to add stuff to make it palatable and it has to be ice-cold; everything I drink has to be ice-cold."

5. She Says She Has Cut Down on Drinking

Closeup,Glass,Of,Martini,Dry,Cocktail,With,Olives,At,BarShutterstock

While she appears to be drinking vodka in her latest photo, Handler recently told Health that she has dramatically cut down on drinking. “I used to drink all the time,” she confessed. “I thought I could handle my alcohol, but I didn’t realize how much your body and your life changes when it’s not in your life every day. Now I’m not giving up drinking...I would never do that to people—or to alcohol. But it’s nice to wake up with clarity and to take a break from the bloat. I didn’t think I was bloated until I didn’t drink for a few weeks. Then I was like, ‘Whoa, look at my cheekbones and my abs.’”

6. She Regularly Works Out with a Trainer

Handler trains with Ben Bruno, “pretty much every day,” she told Health. “I just like to feel strong, and now it’s part of my mental strength.” While she likes to work out with her boyfriend, she isn’t a fan of group fitness. “I can’t work out in a class. For some reason I can’t,” she told People. “And this probably sounds surprising, but I don’t think I’m competitive enough. I just want to give up and be like, I can’t I can’t do it. There’s a pace I don’t like.”

7. She Enjoys Outdoor Activities

Handler is a fan of outdoor activities, including skiing and other “extreme sports,” she told People. “When I do outdoor stuff, like wakeboarding or paddleboarding, I’m good,” she said.

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
