1. She Looks at Exercise As Self-Care

Christina explained to People that working out is part of her self-care routine. "Exercise is my stress reliever," she said. "There is nothing like a good three-mile run for me to really clear my head and get my endorphins going.”

2. She Loves Running

Christina told Country Living that she loves running. "I usually take my French bulldog [Cash] for a three-mile jog in my neighborhood," she explained. "It takes about 30 minutes — it's a great workout. It keeps me in shape and I feel like it helps clear my head for the day."

3. Consistency Is Key

When it comes to both her diet and workout, Christina attributes her success to consistency. "I'm a creature of habit," she told Country Living.

4. She Takes Orangetheory Classes

Christina is a fan of one particular workout. “I discovered Orangetheory and I’m totally hooked!” she told People. “It combines running, which is my favorite workout, with weight training, which I never do on my own. It goes by super quickly and is always challenging. And it helped to get me in the best shape of my 30s!”

5. She Eats Clean and Organic

Christina eats “a very clean, organic diet,” she told People, limiting gluten and dairy. “I eat five small meals a day that usually consist of overnight oats for breakfast, a green juice for a snack, salad with a protein for lunch, granola bar as a snack and then a healthy dinner of chicken or salmon and veggies, tacos or vegan chili. For a little dessert, I love Justin’s Organic Mini Peanut Butter Cups — delish!”

6. She Takes Supplements

Per Country Living, Christina has a thyroid disorder, so she takes a variety of supplements including selenium, a daily multivitamin, vitamin D, vitamin K, fish oil, and an adrenal supplement for a midday boost instead of coffee.

1. Consistency Is Key

In a recent interview with Us, Kristin revealed that when it comes to staying in shape, it’s all about consistency. “It’s important to give ourselves grace and not beat ourselves up,” she said. “For so many years in my early 20s, I was all or nothing. I have the best relationship I’ve ever had with food and health because I’ve let go of a lot of that control. It’s about consistency — just keep showing up.”

2. She Designs Her Own Workouts

Kristin no longer works out with a personal trainer. Instead, she has designed her own workout. “I lift weights, but I do circuit training to keep my heart rate up. I also started doing hot yoga every once in a while. I don’t do it as often as I would like, but I love it when I’m able to make it happen,” she told Us.

3. She Eats Dinner Early

Kristin eats her final meal of the day very early. “I eat with my kids every night at 5:15 p.m.,” she told Us. “I find that I sleep better when I eat early like that. And I eat enough so that I’m not hungry before I go to bed.”

4. Her Diet Is Very Healthy

Kristin told Us that she eats food “as close to as its natural state” as much as she can. “The way I eat is a lifestyle. Organic as often as possible, tons of veggies, meat, nuts and seeds, complex carbs like buckwheat soba noodles, berries, tons of fat — I even eat butter.” That means no processed foods. "We don't do anything white, so we don't do white flour, white sugar, or white salt," she explained to Women's Health. "We definitely are a meat family. I've never been vegan or vegetarian; I don't think I could be. We actually have a freezer full of meat with all kinds of wild game."

5. She Makes Most of Her Own Food

“I make dinner 90 percent of the time. I think that’s important because that’s the only way to truly know what’s in your food,” she told Us. However, when she does dine out she indulges. “When I go out to eat or go on vacation, I eat whatever I want and then I really enjoy it.”

6. Her Goal? Lean Muscles

“I like having some muscle definition without being bulky or looking ‘jacked,'” she told Us. “Seeing results makes me want to push harder and gets me excited in the gym. I can honestly say my butt has gotten a lot bigger from being consistent in the gym, working on it for the past year. These results don’t happen overnight. It’s important to be patient and stay the course.”

7. She Avoids Cardio

"I don't do any cardio," Kristin told Well + Good. "Cardio used to be all I did before I had kids, but once I had them my lifestyle changed—I'm a much healthier eater and I hardly drink alcohol, so I've found that it's about building and maintaining muscle rather than losing weight now."
