1. She Dances
Being a singer, Ciara naturally has to learn a lot of choreography for her live performances and her music videos. And she’s pretty amazing as a dancer. Just take a look at her performing her hit song “Level Up” on The Ellen Show. "Aerobic exercise keeps your muscles strong, which can help you maintain mobility as you get older. Exercise can also lower the risk of falls and injuries from falls in older adults. And it can improve your quality of life," says the Mayo Clinic. "Aerobic exercise also keeps your mind sharp. Regular physical activity may help protect memory, reasoning, judgment and thinking skills (cognitive function) in older adults. It may also improve cognitive function in children and young adults. It can even help prevent the onset of dementia and improve cognition in people with dementia."
2. She’s All About Self-Love
Ciara tells InStyle that a big part of her wellness routine is self-love. “I truly believe that self-love is key,” she says. “And my definition of self-love is taking care of myself.”
3. She Never Gives Up
Ciara tells InStyle that while she has faced a lot of setbacks in her life, she doesn’t let it stop her or get her down. “I’ve heard a lot of noes, and I still hear them to this day,” she says, “But I’m not taking my eyes off the goal. I always say, ‘I am a woman of ambition on a mission, and I’m gonna get it.’ ”
4. She Doesn’t Deprive Herself

When it comes to her diet, Ciara tells InStyle that she likes to eat healthy and try new things. However, she also says that she doesn’t like to deprive herself and avoids extreme diets. "I think the discovery that you can enjoy all the good food that's out there is always kind of eye-opening and enlightening for people because typically you think you have to do these extreme plans, where you're basically only eating grass or you're not eating much besides celery and carrots, you know?" Ciara says that she loves the Weight Watchers program for this reason.
5. She Mixes It Up With Her Personal Trainer
Ciara tells InStyle that her family works with personal trainer, Decker Davis, to keep themselves active. She says that Davis likes to mix up her fitness routine and often challenges her. “I show up and I let him do his thing, honestly, but he's always finding ways to challenge me and throwing curveballs, which keeps it fun and keeps me on my toes. It allows me to never get complacent with the process.”
6. She Loves Squat Jumps

Ciara’s legs and butt are pretty impressive, and she makes sure to do a lot of lower-body workouts to maintain them. She tells InStyle that one of her favorite exercises is squat jumps, saying, “I'm always looking to build my glutes, and a good way to do that is doing burst movements like squat jumps with weights and then without the weights. This fires up your muscles more quickly.”
