Don't Go On Crash Diets

Ciara knows that staying in shape involves diet. The singer, who is a WW ambassador, revealed to InStyle that she is a fan of the program because it enables her to eat the "good food" that she likes. "And when you're able to have those meals, it just brings you joy and it's game-changing," she said. "I think the discovery that you can enjoy all the good food that's out there is always kind of eye-opening and enlightening for people because typically you think you have to do these extreme plans, where you're basically only eating grass or you're not eating much besides celery and carrots, you know?"

Do Hydrate

Ciara understands the importance of hydration. "I literally drink a gallon and a half a day," she told People. "It's amazing how you can work out hard all day, but if you don't eat right you won't see the results you want to see and if you don't drink that water you won't get the results as fast as you want to get them."

Do Train Hard

Ciara trains hard with Gunnar Peterson. When she needs to get herself into shape she might work out multiple times a day. Her workouts with Peterson start with a morning weight lifting session followed by afternoon high-intensity treadmill workouts that alternated with sprints and light jogs, and 30 to 45 minutes on the Peloton at night. "I would wake up in the morning, breastfeed, eat a small meal, go train, come back home, pump, eat a small meal, breastfeed, eat lunch, and then go train again," she told InStyle about her post-baby workout routine.

Don't Always Workout Alone

Ciara also stays motivated with the help of workout buddies. Her main fitness friend? Husband Russell Wilson. She and her NFL quarterback hubby complete 90-minute workouts with  Decker Davis. According to People their workouts involve cross training, Tabata, plyometrics, strength training, and cardio.

Ciara keeps her priorities in order and that involves putting fitness high on the list. "What I learned by having that daily commitment—and it doesn't mean that I go in the gym every day, because you need to let your body recover—but when I started to become more consistent, I realized how much better I felt, and how much easier my workouts became because it wasn't so aggressive," she told People. "That's game-changing on the body and the mind. I feel like I can conquer the world on the days I work out, and it's very rewarding."
