Ciara is feeling golden, and she’s also wearing it. The singer posted a new photo on Instagram of herself wearing a revealing all golden outfit from Dolce & Gabbana. 1. She Works Out Two Or Three Times A Day
After having her first child in 2014, Ciara was determined to shed the weight she’d gained during and after her pregnancy. She tells Shape that she started working with her trainer, Gunnar Peterson, immediately after the doctors told her she’s okay to workout again. “Once I got back into it, I worked out two or three times daily. I would go to Gunnar [Peterson] first for my one-hour training session, then I'd have two more cardio sessions later in the day.”
2. She Incorporates Boxing Into Her Workouts

Ciara tells Shape that her trainer, Gunnar Peterson, incorporates a lot of boxing moves into her workouts. "Gunnar puts me through an hour-long plyometric cardio circuit that always includes boxing elements.” Ciara says that she loves doing these types of workouts. “What's amazing is that you're getting three-in-one training: It's hitting your muscles; it's a cardiovascular workout; and it's a mental exercise. You have to be superfocused when you're boxing. After I've done a few rounds, I feel as if I can conquer the world."
3. She Stays Hydrated

One of Ciara’s wellness secrets is staying hydrated throughout the day. She tells Shape that drinking water helped her lose the baby weights. “I also believe that drinking tons of water and flushing out your system is crucial for training. It really helped me drop the weight. I tell myself that water is my medicine and that to stay well, I have to drink a gallon of it every day."
4. She Is Good At Avoiding Temptations
When Ciara is on a new wellness plan, she is determined to stick to it. She says to Shape that she has a mantra that she repeats to herself, when she’s craving something unhealthy. "'The food isn't going anywhere.' You know those days when you think you have to have a plate of pasta right now? When I'm trying to be good, I take a minute to ask myself, Do you really need to eat all this crazy stuff? It will still be around if you want it later.'" The singer admits that she does treat herself once in a while, but makes sure she doesn’t go too crazy.
5. She Stays Motivated

Ciara says that to stay motivated on her fitness goals, she writes them down in her journal. "I truly believe that if you put your goals in writing, speak them out loud, and work for them, they will happen,” she says to Shape.
6. She Uses Weight Watchers

In September 2020 after having her third child, Ciara revealed that she is on the Weight Watchers, or WW plan, and is an ambassador for them. She joins Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Hudson as other celebrity ambassadors for the brand. Ciara announced this on her Instagram stories saying, “I know I’ve been sharing my meals with you guys and my fitness journey, post-baby and I’m so excited to share that I’m with the WW family. That’s right, I’m ready to level up my eating habits and commit to making it a lifestyle.”
