While preparing for Miss Universe, the Dominican beauty went to drastic measures to lose weight. "This super strict diet that I followed for almost two months helped me lose weight, 40 pounds. In Miss Universe I reached 115 pounds. Imagine yourself. A big difference," she explained in a video shared to Facebook. "Obviously this diet takes a lot of sacrifices, but the reward is good and the result is what you want at the end of the day, which is to lose weight and look spectacular." She added: "Obviously it was not easy. For me, the part of all the pressure that I had for Miss Universe was very difficult. It was in two months, I did not have a year to prepare. So that's why I had to make it very strict," she confessed. "I recommend that you do it exactly as I told you now and that you really want it. If possible. At the end of the day the important thing is how you feel."
