Patrick is enjoying an ice bath, and just shared a new photo from her friend, on her Instagram story. In it, Patrick plunged into an outdoor tub. She wore a pale orange bikini bottom and a light turquoise top, showing off her figure. Patrick’s friend captioned the photo, “Cold plunging like a champ.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Danica Patrick stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She’s All About Positivity

Patrick opened up about her wellness in her book, Pretty Intense. She says that she believes in having a positive mindset. "You are creating your life day by day with your thoughts. Think positive things. Believe in yourself. Have great reasons for why you’re doing what you’re doing.”

2. She Has A Good Relationship With Wellness

One of Patrick’s secrets is having a good relationship and approach to diet and fitness. "What I’m hoping is that people really realize that this is a lifestyle," she said on Good Morning America. "I want them to develop a good relationship with food and exercise to not be a reward or punishment but a way of life and something that makes you feel good and something that makes you a better you every single day."

3. She Knows Why She Sticks To Her Plan

Patrick is all about consistency when it comes to wellness. She tells Good Morning America that one of her secrets is knowing why she needs to do certain things. "The most important part is that you figure out why you’re doing it," she said. "For me, I do it because it makes me feel good, so therefore I keep doing it."

4. She Took A Food Test

Patrick revealed some of her diet secrets on her website. She says that she decided to take a test to find food sensitivities. After getting the results, Patrick adjusted her diet. “At the beginning of 2013, I took a test that scanned my blood against the ninety-six most common foods. When the test said I have an ‘extremely high’ reaction to egg whites, egg yolks, gluten, yeast, and all dairy items, I wanted to cry! All that discipline had been doing my body no good at all! I began to wonder if the reason I sometimes felt bloated and fatigued had something to do with my reaction to those foods. That test changed my life. Shortly after I cut those foods out, I realized I had a higher and more consistent energy level day after day. I also did not feel uncomfortable after eating, ever.”

5. She Uses The Paleo Plan

DanicaPatrickDanica Patrick/Instagram

Patrick revealed on her website that she follows the Paleo diet. She says that she decided to try it for a period, and decided to stick with it going forward. “It was not that hard to do, and I loved both the change in food and the results I was starting to see. I was starting to actually see upper body muscles and abs! What?! Let me tell you, people, I have worked out hard and I have been really picky with food, but these results were by far my best. Paleo formed the origins of Pretty Intense, which I've continued to tweak until I created the most effective plan I've ever put myself on.”

1. She Dances

Danica is a dancer, so it’s no surprise that she burns a lot of calories doing her thing. “Umm this is my kinda cardio baby, if this didn’t make you want to get up and join in I’ll be very disappointed,” she captioned a post, dancing in her bathing suit. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

2. She Stretches

Danica makes sure to stretch. “With holidays on my mind and needing a little motivation here’s a little stretching montage I made In Mauritius before doing some dance fitness because who wants to run on a treadmill?? SO LAST YEAR!! I said I’d recreate my stretching from in the villa too so I guess your welcome. This is your reminder from Danica to stretch, some of you be looking hella stiff haha love ya,” she captioned another post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

3. She Loves Herself

Danica is all about self-love. “Learn to love the skin you’re in! You are all beautiful in your own way, don’t let beauty standards, filters or anything make you think otherwise,” she told her fans in a post.

4. She Drinks Coffee

You can often find Danica recharging with a cup of coffee. Science continues to prove that drinking coffee is great for your health. In fact, a new 2022 study published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology found that drinking two to three cups a day of most types of coffee – especially a mild to moderate intake of ground, instant, and decaffeinated coffee – may protect you from cardiovascular disease and an early death.

5. She Hydrates

Danica makes sure to hydrate, drinking lots of water. "Even mild dehydration—as little as 2% fluid loss—can affect memory, mood, concentration, and reaction time. Adding just a few glasses of water to your daily intake can have a positive effect on cognition, stabilize your emotions, and even combat feelings of anxiety. This is especially important for older adults who are at higher risk for both dehydration and impaired cognitive function," says the National Council of Aging.

Danica Patrick, the most successful female race car driver of all time, is in Mexico and shared a heartfelt reflection that’s as wise as it is beautiful. “Life is trying to shift us in into coherence. If you’re not a match for your current life, expect challenges. Try and move like the ocean, without resistance,” she said, posing in front of rushing waters. “The funny thing is.... we know. We always know deep down what’s good for us and what’s bad. If you wonder, just ask. The answers are usually short and sweet. They might not always be what you want, but they’re what you need. ☺️” How does she stay so fit and sagacious? 1. She is “Pretty Intense”

Danica shared her fitness regime in her book Pretty Intense. The book is “not about driving, it’s about becoming the best version of myself,” she told athlete and podcaster Rich Roll. “The only thing that I would put toward being a better driver is that with the style of working out that I do, with the intensity level and competition at times, it makes you mentally stronger, and that translates” to driving competitions. Among the exercises in her plan: “7 workouts each week—upper body, lower body, abs, 3 interval cardio sessions, and one long circuit. They are all designed to be intense and over within about 20 min, except for the long circuit which will last about 30-45.”

2. She Drinks Green Smoothies

Taylor Hill/FilmMagic

"I'll put three big handfuls of spinach in the blender, and only enough ice and water to get the spinach to make [the blades] spin," Patrick told Delish. "The colder the ingredients, the better, so I like to use frozen fruit." Delish added that: “She'll add one-third of a banana and a quarter of an apple, so it doesn't get too sugary, and adds a lemon to cut down on the drink's bitterness.” "Take the seeds and skin off the lemon, and just toss it in," she says. "It really helps the flavor."

3. She Believes Mind Powers Matter

“The workout stuff” in her book, “is where I get into the level of intensity and using mantras to get past it and techniques to push harder, but the mind—the mental part of the book—it’s really cool that everyone says that’s their favorite part of the book, the mind-body connection, the mental aspect of your life and gaining strength and confidence through doing certain activities. That’s where you’re going to find your foundation for the rest. The body follows the mind. If you can teach it that, believe it, it will.”

4. She Wants You to Have a Healthy Relationship With Food

“I want you to develop a relationship with food and exercise to not be a reward or punishment but a way of life, that makes you feel good, a better you every single day.” Patrick even got her mom into exercising. “My mom loves organization,” so she loves the program. At 60, she even has abs!

5. She Likes Homemade Almond Milk

54th Academy Of Country Music Awards - ArrivalsJeff Kravitz/FilmMagic

"I like the taste of homemade almond milk better," Patrick told Delish. "It's thicker and probably fattier, but it has a more full-bodied taste."

6. She Admits That Race Car Drivers Don’t Need to Be That Fit

When it comes to racing: “You don’t have to be that fit,” she told Roll. “Especially in NASCAR, there are some drivers you look at and think, ‘You probably don’t work out that much, do you.’ Physical fitness is important but then you got guys like Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman and they do just fine.” She says it’s like running a marathon, with an elevated heart rate—”the focus comes from practice, but the stamina—hydration is critical. Repetition with the muscles. A general amount of flexibility and some endurance” is good. She says you get conditioned by doing the actual job itself. “I am more fit than I need to be to do the job.”

7. Cardio is Key

Patrick appeared on GMA doing hop overs and toe taps on an exercise ball, tapping her toes on it in quick succession while jumping. (“If you don’t have a ball, use anything,” she says.) She then did pushups—with one hand on the ball, and the other hand on the floor. Do 10 on each side. Pretty intense.

1. She Makes Working Out A Priority

Patrick shared some of her workout tips with USA Today. She says that fitness is a big priority in her life, and she makes sure to designated both times and places for it. “I would say that having a little bit of a schedule for your workout tends to get you doing it,” Patrick said. “So that’s helpful. Having a designated space to do it is also helpful if you’re doing it at home, so you have a purposeful place for it.”

2. She Pushes Herself

2023 Sports Illustrated Super Bowl PartyEthan Miller/Getty Images

Patrick tells USA Today that she likes to push herself with fitness. “While things are difficult, the amount of confidence you gain from being able to do it or accomplishing it, that seeps into so many other facets of your life,” she said. “You believe in yourself entirely — as opposed to just, ‘I can do that move.’ It’s now, ‘Oh, you need me to do that work? Sure, I got you.’ ‘Need me to do that? Sure, I got it.’ You tend to get more confident in your life, period, because you realize you can do it if you believe in yourself.”

3. She Adjusts Her Workouts Depending On Her Time

Patrick likes to adjust her workouts depending on how she feels, and how much time she has. “A couple years ago, I was at my parents house, and I did not feel like thinking of a workout that day,” she recalled to USA Today. “I was like, ‘I wanna workout, but what should I do? I’ll just do burpees.’ And I was going to do 1,000 burpees for time, and then I looked online and saw that takes over an hour, and I didn’t have an hour. So I was like, ‘I’ll do 500.’ And the only thing I stopped for was every 100, I jotted down the time it was on the clock, just to see what my intervals were. I’m pretty sure it took me 35 minutes.”

4. She Walks

Taylor Hill/FilmMagic

Patrick tells USA Today that she loves to walk to stay in shape. “If you are in one of those days and you’re just tired, or it’s cloudy out, or maybe you’re exhausted from traveling or from work or family or kids, just go for a walk,” Patrick said. “Honestly, I do that a lot. And I’ll go for an hour or an hour and a half, and I’ll take the dogs, and it’s great exercise from a low-intensity perspective. But you’re getting moving, and I think that’s the thing I’ll do if I’m bored or not energetic.”

5. She Loves Veggies

Patrick makes sure to eat healthy. And she also makes sure to eat a lot of vegetables. Patrick shared this photo on Instagram of herself enjoying a salad. She captioned the post, “Now this is a mountain of veggies! Arugula, tomato, beets, avocado, zucchini, onion, mushroom, kabocha squash, micro greens, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, and a homemade lemon tahini turmeric vinaigrette.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
