A few years ago, Demi revealed a massive body transformation, after losing 42 pounds. “I've had quite a big reaction from when I posted my throwback yesterday of me in January 2019 to now and my three stone [19kg] weight difference," she said in her Instagram Stories. "I'm no professional. I was on no strict diet. I was on no strict gym routine." She proceeded to explain that she had been in a “long term, very toxic relationship” that left her isolated. “I was eating so unhealthily and a really bad lifestyle. As I came out of the relationship I started seeing my friends again and started becoming happy again and believe it or not the weight just dropped off me," Demi said. "I think I was eating out of pure depression in the evenings. Just like sadness and boredom because I was in a toxic, controlling relationship, so I thought as soon as I got out of the relationship I naturally started dropping off the pounds."

2. She Enlisted the Help of Professionals

Demi enlisted the health of professionals to get into shape. “I noticed my clothes weren't fitting me anymore and I said to my mum, 'Something needs to change'. So I went to Slimming World (a UK-based weight loss organization) for a couple of weeks,” she continued.

3. She Cut a Few Things Out of Her Diet

"Just cutting out things I was eating a lot of like bread, chocolate and takeaways and I cut all that out. I was mainly eating Weetabix for breakfast and then for lunch rice and chicken or rice and tuna, and then whatever my mum cooks me in the evening, and I wasn't really snacking,” Demi revealed about how she changed her diet.

4. She Started Working Out

Just by changing her diet she lost 28 pounds. “Then I got scouted for Love Island, but I was scouted very last minute. I only had six weeks notice. So I went to the gym every single day. I was probably unhealthily maintaining a gym routine but it wasn't really for me, and then in the space of about four or five weeks before Love Island I lost another stone," she continued.

5. She Did It Over a Long Period of Time

Demi doesn’t believe in crash diets. "Personally, for me I can't do these quick diets and lose weight within a month. I need to do it over a long period of time and it needs to drill into your lifestyle in order to be maintained or else you're going to put it back on," she said.

“Things do change,” Demi told W Magazine not too long ago. “The biggest difference, I think, is that I’m not in nearly as good shape physically as I have been before, and I have skin going in a direction that I would prefer it not go. There are things that just come with getting older. But I think my big mantra for this year is about acceptance. I was reading this book that was written around 1919, if I am remembering correctly, and it was very of its day. It was discussing all the ‘female’ concerns. There were some horrific suggestions on how to take care of yourself, including putting some kind of acid on your skin. But there was one thing I took away, because I think it’s true—the author said not to frown because at a certain point it will stick. And what speaks to me here is that I do believe that when we hold upset, anger, hurt, pain or bitterness, it ages us and we wear it. That isn’t to say we are always going to feel happy. But it’s important not to hold on to things.”

When getting ready for certain revealing scenes in movies, “I cut out carbs, I ran, and I biked, and I worked out on every machine imaginable. I didn’t feel like I could stop exercising,” she wrote in her book. “It was my job to fit into that unforgiving military uniform I’d be wearing in two months in A Few Good Men. While “things do change” she has learned to accept the aging process, she explained to W. “The biggest difference, I think, is that I’m not in nearly as good shape physically as I have been before, and I have skin going in a direction that I would prefer it not go. There are things that just come with getting older. But I think my big mantra for this year is about acceptance,” she said.

2. Hit the Gym…At Home

Demi used to work out at gyms, but is now into at home workouts. After forgoing exercise for "over four years” she started taking class on the at-home fitness tech gadget, The Mirror. “My maiden voyage with @getthemirror 15 min at level 1. 3. Stay Sober

Sobriety is a big part of Demi’s wellness plan. The star first got sober in her 20s, relapsed in her 40s, and got back into the healthy lifestyle in her 50s. “In retrospect, what I realized is that when I opened the door [again], it was just giving my power away,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I guess I would think of it like this: It was really important to me to have natural childbirth because I didn’t want to miss a moment. And with that I experienced pain. So part of being sober is, I don’t want to miss a moment of life, of that texture, even if that means being in—some pain.”

One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

2. She Roller Skates

Demi also enjoys roller skating, which is similar to rollerblading. “Inline skating increases your heart rate and gets your lungs working, both components in aerobic exercise.
