Leotta is a fantastic cook and loves to make traditional Italian dishes such as eggplant (aubergine) lasagna from scratch. “Being a good source of fiber and a low-calorie choice, aubergine is an ideal ingredient to use in a weight management programme,” says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. “It can be successfully used to replace more calorie-dense options in a range of different recipes. In addition to this, plant compounds in aubergine appear to inhibit the action of pancreatic lipase, and as such may inhibit fat digestion.”

Leotta enjoys regular sessions of riding her bike out in the fresh air. “It’s been shown that cycling reduces anxiety and depression,” says Jaclyn Kubiak, PT, DPT. “Mainly, because you can make it fun. You get the added benefit of being outdoors or you can go do it with friends. You can change the intensity for it yourself,” he adds. “It can be as easy as you want or as hard and enduring as you want.”

Leotta is a devoted yogi, a practice that benefits both mind and body. “As a practice, many would say that yoga incorporates the ritual of focus and meditation as much as the physical poses and breathwork that are more visually obvious to observers,” says Sarah Robinson, MSc. “The tangible benefits of yoga — such as the ability to touch your toes, are easier to record quantitatively than, say, how calm you feel after meditating. And now, I think that we are ready to experience an inclusive show with football and women in football… lt never stops surprising me, and it never stops being exciting. You have to be perfect when you speak about football. I was completely obsessed with being perfect and sometimes I lost my authenticity. Diletta is devoted to exercise. “I train as often as I can, depending on the time I can carve out, I choose classes of 15 / 30 or a maximum of 45 minutes. The thing for me it is important to do a workout during which I can enjoy myself so as not to weigh myself too much,” she tells La Gazzetta dello Sport.

2. She Does Yoga

Since Diletta works out for the mind-body experience, she loves yoga. “For me, training also means freeing my mind and disconnecting from everything: in fact, since I discovered yoga, I can't do without it. I really manage to relax and at the same time enjoy my workout. The other days I choose workouts both for the upper and lower body,” she says.

Diletta also meditates. “Head and body train together with different paths, but both need to be trained. Since I've been dedicating time to meditation, I've been better, and those who know me know it. Often we're used to wanting to do a thousand things without stopping, however, sometimes, it's just slow down the key to rediscover serenity. In the most hectic periods or when I don't feel motivated, I immediately find energy thanks also to the very useful audio guides present on the app. It is incredible how, after listening to certain words, dynamics are created that make you they change perspective,” she says.

4. She Always Has Workout Bands, Weights, and Anklets on Hand

Diletta makes exercise convenient by keeping a few tools on hand. “There is nothing necessary, but it depends on the workouts you prefer to follow. My advice, especially for girls, is to prepare with an elastic band, weights and two anklets. If I'm out and about and I don't have with me all this remedy with what I find. The important thing is to train and at most increase the intensity a little. Often if you are away from home you think you can't train in any way; in reality you can always opt for a nice bodyweight circuit,” she explains.

5. Her Diet Is Balanced

When it comes to her diet Diletta eats everything from “vegetables to fruit to chocolate to pasta,” but overal isn’t super strict about it. “Luckily my diet is very varied and balanced, I don't make great sacrifices, but I am very careful about what I eat,” she dishes.

The Mayo Clinic says, “Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes. Strong core muscles help athletes, such as runners. That's because weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance and injuries.”

Cavallari has written several cookbooks, and they have changed as her diet has changed. While promoting her book, Truly Simple with EatingWell, she revealed that her diet is less strict. “I've gotten to a point in my life where not everything has to be so perfect anymore,” Cavallari said. “I used to be so strict about what I was putting in my body. I'm still very healthy and very conscious of it, but I've gotten a little bit more lax. True Roots and True Comfort had nothing ‘white’ in them: no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. But in Truly Simple, I bend a little bit in a few of the recipes, which really reflects where I am in my life and my new way of eating. Everything is a little bit more relaxed around here now.’

Cavallari tells EatingWell that she loves making foods with cauliflower. “I love cauliflower because I think it's very versatile, and there's actually a Sweet Harissa Cauliflower recipe in Truly Simple that's my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet. If you've ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. There's this sweet harissa dressing that's on it, and there's little chopped-up dates in it, so it has that nice balance between sweet and savory. It's the absolute best.”

She Loves Salad

Cavallari likes to make salads. She shared one of her favorite recipes with EatingWell. “This salad has a few of my favorite things: salmon (which has omega-3s and is so, so good for you), bacon (no explanation needed), avocado (healthy fats), and spicy tomatillo ranch dressing (just yum). Together, they create culinary heaven. If you aren't familiar with tomatillos, they're similar to tomatoes but are slightly less sweet and are perfect when drenched in ranch.”

She Works With A Trainer

Cavallari tells Us Weekly that a lot of her gym sessions are with her personal trainer. “He kicks my ass,” she says. “He pushes me really hard. He has me actually lifting really heavy weight, the heaviest weight I’ve ever lifted in my entire life. I feel the best I ever have. I feel like I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.”

She Shared Her Eye Makeup Trick

Cavallari shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Us Weekly. She says that consistency is one of her biggest priorities. “My goal is sort of, right now, just to maintain the muscle that I have,” she says. “I’m really petite. I have no hips. I’m just small. And so if I don’t work out for like a week or two, I feel like all my muscle goes away. So it is about consistency for me.”
