1. She Struggles with Self-Confidence

Doja admits that battling self-esteem issues is a daily struggle. “Growing up, I definitely had body dysmorphia. Without a doubt. And I’ve had it since,” she told Cosmopolitan Middle East. “It started in my teens, which I think is where it starts for a lot of people. I started really growing and I never really thought I looked good in a lot of the stuff I wore.” However, she tries to keep herself healthy. “Now, I just try to focus on eating well, but I definitely still struggle with body dysmorphia a bit now. But I think that’s to be completely expected when there’s all these phones in your face, right?”

2. She Exercises

Doja is into exercising. However, fitness hasn’t always been a big part of her approach to health. During a recent Instagram Live session, she admitted she was new to regular workouts "It used to be rehearsals for award shows," she said about her approach to exercise. Now she prioritizes exercise, even when she is traveling. "It's hard to get a hotel that has a proper gym," she added.

3. She Tries to Be Herself

“I don’t need to be like anyone else but myself,” she told Crack. “That sounds so corny, but there were times where I felt like a baby duck, just doing what the momma duck did. I took my own leap of faith. When I’m natural, people really f**k with me.”

4. Her Workouts Are Intense

During her Instagram Live she detailed her average sweat session, revealing that she splits up her workouts. Lower body workout day exercises include jump squats and kettlebell exercises. "I love doing squats," she said. "Don't know why, but my bottom half responds to a lot, and you can see it immediately."

5. She Gets Enough Sleep

Doja prioritizes sleep. She recently shared a photo of herself getting some zs, telling her followers that sleep is good for her intimate life and her brain. “I also have an IQ of 560 because of it,” she wrote. "Scientists have gone to great lengths to fully understand sleep's benefits. In studies of humans and other animals, they have discovered that sleep plays a critical role in immune function, metabolism, memory, learning, and other vital functions," says Harvard Health.

Doja is very selective about who she chooses to work with. Whether it’s a brand or an artist, she tells Bustle that she won’t just work with anybody. “It’s very easy to slip into this mode of doing collaborations with everyone all the time because maybe a certain brand can pay you a lot,” she says, “But this is not one of those things for me.”

3. She Exfoliates Her Skin

Doja has amazing skin, and revealed some of her favorite products and routines to Bustle. She says that she uses Rice Polish to exfoliate her skin. “You could use anything and have this as your exfoliator. It's super gentle; it's not tearing your face up like a lot of these exfoliators do. It's very, very effective. I struggled with acne as a kid, and this absolutely changed my life.”

4. She Uses Cleansing Oil

To remove her makeup, Doja uses Camellia Cleansing Oil. She tells Bustle, “If I could pick only one thing, it would be this cleansing oil. It gets rid of makeup like no other. I have it on backorder. I have so much of that stuff. It's just sitting there in my bathroom just in case the world ends.”

5. She Quit Vaping

Doja recently had to have surgery on her tonsils after an infection. She revealed on Twitter that she decided to quit vaping, in order to help herself heal and prevent further problems. “Hopefully I don’t crave it anymore after that,” she wrote. “I’m too scared to hit it cuz my throat hurts so bad. I cried for hours. It’s not worth it.”

Doja Cat, the rapper, is known for having a blast on social media, whether it's hosting live video chats with fans or posing in funny or provocative ways. 1. She Strength Trains

Doja is usually pretty quiet about her workout routine. However, she does post videos of herself at the gym on her Instagram stories. In this particular video series, Doja revealed that she does a lot of strength training workouts with her trainer. She is seen doing kettlebell squats, pushing a weight forward, doing leg curls, and tricep curls.

2. She Dances

2022 Billboard Women In Music - ArrivalsKevin Mazur/WireImage

Doja has to do a lot of dancing in her career. She learns choreography for her music videos and live performances, and this is easy for her. Doja grew up dancing, and tells Dazed, “After moving from Oak Park around the age of eleven-and-a-half, I started to take up break dancing. I danced in a crew and competed around Los Angeles in organized underground cypher/battles.”

3. She Uses Her Music As Therapy

While many people think that Doja is super confident with herself, she revealed to Cosmopolitan that she used to struggle with body dysmorphia, and still does on occasion. Doja says that she likes to use her music writing process as a way of helping herself with this, and specifically cites her song “Juicy” as a particularly helpful one. “Growing up, I definitely had body dysmorphia. Without a doubt. And I’ve had it since. It started in my teens, which I think is where it starts for a lot of people. I started really growing and I never really thought I looked good in a lot of the stuff I wore. I feel like that song [Juicy] was therapeutic for me. I kind of made it for myself – well, the meaning behind it, at least. I was kind of doing it for my own happiness and I feel like other people can definitely pull some joy from that, too.”

4. She Uses Her Fame As A Chance To Look Inward

2021 MTV Video Music Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Fame can be a difficult thing to deal with. However, Doja says to Cosmopolitan that she’s used her rise to stardom as a way to look at herself and improve herself. “There’s a good side to it, because I’ve had to correct myself a lot. I’ve had to grow up because of it, and I think it’s helped me revaluate stuff and become a better person. When you get picked at a lot, and critiqued constantly because you’re under a microscope, it’s allowed me to trim off parts of myself that maybe weren’t useful to me.”

5. She’s An Activist

Doja has a large platform, and she wants to use it for good. She tells Cosmopolitan that speaking out and helping causes are important to her, and she wants to encourage others to do the same. “It doesn’t matter if it’s a public figure who’s donating something, I just think thank God that there are people out there who want to help. I have family and friends and people that I care about who are affected by this. I just want to see a better future. There are people who have a lot, maybe too much, so it’s good to give back.”

1. She Eats Protein

In a tweet, Doja told her followers some of her go-to healthy foods. The rapper makes sure to eat a lot of protein and veggies. She wrote, “I eat two eggs and spinach tortilla w caramelized onions pepper jack cheese and hot sauce and roll it up. I also eat a lot of seaweed.” “Largely because of their satiating power, eggs have been linked with fat loss. An International Journal of Obesity study on this produced some remarkable results: Over an eight-week period, people ate a breakfast of either two eggs or a bagel, which contained the same amount of calories. The egg group lost 65% more body weight, 16% more body fat, experienced a 61% greater reduction in BMI, and saw a 34% greater reduction in waist circumference!” says our sister site Eat This, Not That!

2. She’s A Dancer

3. She Keeps Her Hair Short

Doja tells Byrdie that she prefers to keep her hair short, since she thinks it’s easier to take care of. “I don’t like to have 50 inches of hair, to be honest with you. I don’t know how to sleep with it...you have to roll it up and put it away and I don’t feel like doing that. So really short, above the neck hair—it’s really easy to maintain.”

4. She Has Had Struggles With Body Dysmorphia

Doja Cat is playing Barbie, in a swimsuit. The Planet Her legend shared an image on Instagram stories of her with Barbie logos, in another instance of her trademark cheeky humor. 1. She Uses Kettlebells

doja-catDoja Cat/Instagram

“Regardless of where you want to be in three, six or 18 months, using kettlebells can be a great way to help you reach your goals. Like most training tools, using the correct technique is critical. Take the time to perfect your technique before progressing to the more advanced moves,” says ACE Fitness.

2. She Uses Dumbbells

2022 Billboard Women In Music - ArrivalsFrazer Harrison/Getty Images

Doja Cat uses dumbbells in her workout. Try this: “Hold onto two lighter dumbbells as you balance on one foot and hinge forward into a tabletop position. With both elbows slightly bent, lift arms out to the side squeezing behind the shoulder blades. Lower the arms and then return to a standing position, ideally not touching the elevated foot all the way to the ground until all 10 repetitions are complete,” says ACE Fitness.

3. She Does Jump Squats

64th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsJeff Kravitz/FilmMagic

Squats really work your glutes and core. “You don't need to go to the gym and lift weights to increase your muscular fitness. Use your body weight to do weight training exercises and resistance training. For example, try situps, pushups, squats and lunges,” says the Mayo Clinic.

4. She May Get Into Acting Indeed

Doja Cat has expressed frustration with all the “unnecessary obligations” of her music career and has mentioned taking a hiatus or hinting at retiring. “I’d love to act. I’d love to be in movies. That’s a massive want for me,” she has also said. "Experiencing the arts has the added benefit of stimulating your brain centers and impacting your cognitive functioning. When you are moved by a performance, your limbic system is stimulated. Your temporal lobe is engaged when listening or watching a performance that arouses your emotions,” Daniel K. Hall-Flavin, M.D., M.S., Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, says in the Mayo Clinic.

5. She is Currently Recovering From a Tonsil Problem

“Hi guys. I wanted you to hear it from me first. Unfortunately, I have to have surgery on my tonsils asap. The surgery is routine but the recovery is going to take a while due to swelling. That means I have to cancel my festival run this summer as well as The Weeknd tour,” she wrote in a statement. “I feel horrible about this but can’t wait for this to heal and get back to making music and create an experience for y’all.” She said she had a “growth” on her tonsil. “im quitting the vape for a while and hopefully i dont crave it anymore after that,” she added later.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

Fitness,,Sport,,Training,,Gym,And,Lifestyle,Concept,-,Group,OfShutterstock

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement.
