1. She Starts the Day With a Walk

Young,Fitness,Woman,Legs,Walking,At,Forest,TrailShutterstock

“[7.30am is] time for a walk with my dog, Dexter,” she says. “I got really lucky that he and I have the same sleep schedule. If I need to catch a couple extra hours of sleep he’s right there with me, but on days when I’m up bright and early, he’s ready for his morning walk. Our walks are the perfect way to get my mind right for the day ahead. I usually grab a bottle of Evian — gotta stay hydrated — and his leash and we head out for a stroll around the neighborhood. While walking, I make a mental list of my intentions for the day.” “Walking can help protect you during cold and flu season,” says Harvard Health. “A study of over 1,000 men and women found that those who walked at least 20 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week, had 43% fewer sick days than those who exercised once a week or less. And if they did get sick, it was for a shorter duration, and their symptoms were milder.”

2. She Loves Group Classes

Dua,Lipa,At,The,World,Premiere,Of,'alita:,Battle,Angel'Shutterstock

Lipa loves working out with her friends. “Whether it’s on Zoom, doing a workout with my friend Ella in LA who leads a kickass workout class called Sculpt With Ella, or with my best friend Bunny who comes over to train me on days when I’m feeling super lazy and need someone to get me motivated, getting physical really starts my day off right.” “Working out with a crowd carries a plethora of intertwined benefits that include enhancing consistency, duration, motivation, conversation and inspiration,” says Dian Griesel, PhD. “Workouts with others improve consistency because they involve a commitment. ‘No shows’ and cancellations get noticed by others and positive peer pressure can help curtail the urges to skip a workout … or quit.”

3. She Enjoys Yoga and Pilates

“I also love to do yoga, Pilates, or strength training,” Lipa says. “People who practice yoga and are mindful eaters are more in tune with their bodies,” says Harvard Health. “They may be more sensitive to hunger cues and feelings of fullness. Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood. People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

4. She Dances For Cardio

Lipa is constantly performing dance routines on stage, and considers that to be her cardio workout. “I like to leave my cardio workout to dancing,” she says. “The physical benefits of dance cardio are an improved cardiovascular system, flexibility, strength, increased energy, memorization, and weight loss,” says Zumba instructor Alethia Tukes.

5. She Loves To Cook

Dua Lipa Performs At Scotiabank ArenaJeremy Chan/Getty Images

“I love cooking and being surrounded by my favorite people, though I also love ordering from the fantastic restaurants in my area — especially as there’s no indoor seating at the moment due to the pandemic,” Lipa said back in May 2021. “With all the running around I do for work, it’s nice to come home, slow down, and connect with the food that nourishes my body and life.” Lipa is on to something: There are many benefits to cooking at home. “When we cook at home, we are in control,” says dietitian Ben Atkinson. “McDonald’s fries have 19 ingredients. We can make them at home with far less — and they will taste just as good. A favorite at my house is potatoes cut into wedges, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Put these in a Ziploc bag to mix together. Then place in the oven on a pan for about 30 minutes at 400 F. It’s only five ingredients, and tastes fabulous.”

6. She Is “Religious” About Skincare

2022 Lollapalooza - Day 2Michael Hickey/Getty Images

No matter how tired or busy she is, Lipa never goes to bed without washing her face. “I am religious about washing my face and doing my nighttime skincare routine every evening,” she says. “Even when it’s a rehearsal day and I’m not wearing makeup, it is so important to wash the day off. I also use this time to check in with myself and practice gratitude.”

7. She Reads Before Bedtime

Dua Lipa Performs At Scotiabank ArenaJeremy Chan/Getty Images

Lipa likes to wind down at night with a good book and some meditation. “Tonight I’m reading Three Women by Lisa Taddeo to wind down a bit before I try to sleep,” she says. “I’ve been rehearsing like crazy so my mind is always racing at the end of the day. It’s really comforting to grab a book and get transported to another world. I also like to take 30 minutes to meditate before bed for that added wind-down.” “I enjoy a book at bedtime and generally recommend that people read fiction at night rather than nonfiction,” says sleep expert Dr. Michael Breus. “With fiction you are not being introspective or using a lot of brainpower, so it can be more relaxing. With nonfiction, the experience can feel more reflective and alerting.”

1. Lipa Said Elton Called Her When She Was Wearing a Cowboy Hat and Bikini

“It was kind of funny actually,” said Lipa. “Now, Elton and I we've done a couple things together. I also performed with him for his AIDS foundation, for the Oscars opening. And afterwards we had dinner in LA and then literally a couple days later, I've started writing for my new album. And, I was hanging out by the pool before going to do some writing and all of a sudden my phone rings and it's a FaceTime from Elton and his husband, David—casual." “As you do,” said Colbert. Lipa continued: “I mean, it's not that casual. I don't think it's casual. I was in my bikini and a cowboy hat. But I wouldn't have it any other way. It was perfect. And, they were just like, you know, we have this idea….” Read on....

2. Lipa Said It Was Meant to Be

“We'd love to have you on this song,” they told Lipa. “And immediately I was like, are you joking? I was like, of course, you know, I'd love to. ‘No, no, no, you have to listen to it first….We're gonna send it to you. And then afterwards, you let us know if you wanna do the song.’ And knowing already what I was gonna say. I'm like, absolutely. So I heard the song and it was a remix that PNAU did of "Rocket Man" and "Sacrifice." And immediately, I mean, I couldn't believe it. And it's, it's kind of crazy because I feel like I manifested this in a way.”

3. Lipa Said "Rocket Man" is Her Driving Song

Dua Lipa, whose name means "love" in Albanian, is loving life. She just shared a series of photos of her having fun with friends, including a selfie in a swimsuit. 1. She Overcomes Challenges One Step at a Time

dua-lipa-selfieDua Lipa/Instagram

When it comes to workouts, she takes things little by little. Think of training for a marathon, and starting with running a 5k. “We overcame it by tackling one hill at a time,” her onetime trainer PMAC said, referring to Dua jogging up Primrose Hill in north London. “So instead of saying we’re running up five (which is typical with all of my clients), we’d do one at a time, and she managed it.”

2. Yoga Is A Daily Routine

Young,Attractive,Smiling,Woman,Practicing,Yoga,,Sitting,In,One,LeggedShutterstock

She enjoys high intensity interval training to stay in shape in addition to yoga for strength training and muscle building. She even stated that yoga is a daily ritual for her, spending each day practicing how to quiet her mind and channel her muscles to build strength. Try a child's pose. "In a child's pose, you kneel and sit on your knees. Lean forward, bringing your arms in front of you with your palms down, and keeping your buttocks on your heels. Rest your forehead on the floor. Bring your arms next to your legs with palms facing up. Inhale and exhale for at least eight breaths," says St. Clair Health.

3. She Knows The Importance of Rest

The Fashion Awards 2021 - Red Carpet ArrivalsSamir Hussein/WireImage

Napping and getting enough sleep is so important. She listens to her body and lets herself rest and recover when necessary. “For a busy individual like Dua, I suggested naps to help her body recover,” PMAC said. "If you train too much, your body won’t work, so rest is a non-negotiable."

4. She Warms Up Her Body

Frieze And Versace Celebrate London's Creative CommunityDave Benett/Getty Images

Dua has had the importance of warming up engrained in her since working with PMAC. “We’d spend 10 minutes before every session to make sure her joints and muscles were ready,” PMAC explains. Warm ups will also improve your mobility which, in turn, could help you achieve your goals sooner.

5. She Enjoys HIIT Workouts

Dua Lipa Future Nostalgia Tour - Vancouver, BCAndrew Chin/Getty Images

Dua loves the efficiency of HIIT sessions. “It’s so quick, it’s over before it’s even started!” she says. Dua and PMAC like to include mountain climbers, burpees, jumping jacks and more into her routine. "Most endurance workouts, such as walking, running, or stair-climbing—are performed at a moderate intensity, or an exertion level of 5-6 on a scale of 0-10. High-intensity intervals are done at an exertion level of 7 or higher, and are typically sustained for 30 seconds to 3 minutes, although they can be as short as 8-10 seconds or as long as 5 minutes; the higher the intensity, the shorter the speed interval. Recovery intervals are equal to or longer than the speed intervals," says ACE Fitness.

4. She Gets Her Vitamin D

"Vitamin D isn't naturally found in many foods, but you can get it from fortified milk, fortified cereal, and fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel and sardines. Your body also makes vitamin D when direct sunlight converts a chemical in your skin into an active form of the vitamin (calciferol)," says the Mayo Clinic. "The amount of vitamin D your skin makes depends on many factors, including the time of day, season, latitude and your skin pigmentation. Depending on where you live and your lifestyle, vitamin D production might decrease or be completely absent during the winter months. Sunscreen, while important to prevent skin cancer, also can decrease vitamin D production."

5. She Likes the Beach

"Swimming can improve mood in both men and women. For people with fibromyalgia, swimming can decrease anxiety, and exercise therapy in warm water can decrease depression and improve mood. Water-based exercise can improve the health of pregnant people and has a positive effect on the pregnant person’s mental health. Parents of children with developmental disabilities find that recreational activities, such as swimming, improve family connections," says the CDC.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”
