1. Dancing Is Her Cardio

Clearly, Rose spent a good amount of time getting her cardio in via dancing. "It's a lot of jumping off the ground, I'm going to be so out of breath!" she told the Guardian about her workout while on the show. Dancing is not only good cardio, but has other short and long-term health benefits, including weight loss, stress reduction, and improved heart and brain health.

2. She Hikes

Rose loves hiking. Her Instagram feed is filled with photo of her adventures. “4,200m high, 26km long, 37,000 step, 10hrs dealing with altitude for the first time and battling against the sand flies. Definitely the toughest walk I’ve ever done,” she captioned this snap. “But I did it for my Granddad, it was his passion and love of hiking that kept me going. Despise knowing how much I dislike hiking growing up!”

3. She Takes Breaks From Her Hearing Aid

Rose regularly wears a hearing aid. However, she revealed in an Instagram Story that she tries to take breaks from wearing them by “Switching my hearing aids off” to help with sleeping and suffering from headaches. She also turns them off when reading books or when she is communicating in British sign language.

4. She Enjoys Spirits

Rose enjoys the occasional spirit. “Aperol spritz weather is back,” she captioned an image. "Stay Hydrated,” she captioned another snap of herself holding a glass of wine. “It a very hot day on the beach. I am wearing a black swimming costume with pink framed sunglasses. My hair is blowing in the wind. I'm holding a big wine glass smiling toward the camera.”

5. She Is a Foodie

Rose loves to eat. “Thank you for all your lovely birthday messages,” Rose wrote in an Instagram Story, celebrating her birthday at a restaurant called Gola, which specializes in serving “aphrodisiac food from Puglia.”

Rose Ayling-Ellis, the EastEnders star and winner of 2021’s Strictly Come Dancing (not to mention its first deaf contestant), knows how to relax. She and a group of TV personality pals— Sara Davies, John Whaite, Rhys Stephenson, Maisie Smith and Tilly Ramsay—visited the luxury Skuna Boats at West India Quay dock in London, and documented their time on Instagram—”on the hot tub boat,” as they captioned one image. How does she stay so together? Read on to see 5 ways Rose Ayling-Ellis stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Hits the Spa

roseRose Ayling-Ellis/Instagram

The spa boat is not the first time Ayling-Ellis has been pampered. "Just what I needed," she captioned another post after winning Strictly, at a spa. Consider getting a massage yourself. “Massage is generally considered part of integrative medicine,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Medical centers are offering it more and more as a treatment along with standard treatment. It may be used for a wide range of medical conditions.

Studies of massage benefits have found massage can:

  • Help reduce stress
  • Lessen pain and muscle tension
  • Increase relaxation
  • Improve immune function.”

2. She Has Weight Trained, Sort Of

Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour - BackstageRose Ayling-Ellis/Instagram

In order to stay in shape for Strictly, Ayling-Ellis had to exercise. "Pre-show warm-up is very important," wrote one of the show’s producers, sharing an image of her dance partner, Giovanni Pernice, holding her up high. "Even our weights are glamorous," he joked. "I'm just a human weight,” Ayling-Ellis added, when reporting the image.

3. Her Dancing Was Cardio

National Television Awards 2021 - Red Carpet ArrivalsKarwai Tang/WireImage

“It’s a lot of jumping off the ground, I’m going to be so out of breath!” she told the Guardian about Strictly. High intensity workouts like that are great for you. Rapid-fire workouts supercharge your body in countless ways. Unlike doing “steady-state” cardio, in which you head out for a leisurely jog or casually climb a Stairmaster, high-intense workouts ignite your body’s stress response. Everything from your blood pressure to your heart rate spikes. Your immune system and central nervous system kick into high gear. You start inhaling more and more oxygen to spread to your cells. Blood starts flowing to your muscles and your body instantly start burning up all of that glucose in your blood—meaning you’ll stave off weight-gain and bring your endocrine system back into the balance. Physically speaking, it’s the closest thing you can do to running into a phone booth and emerging afterwards with a cape and giant “S” on your chest.

4. She May Have Been Able to Feel the Music

“How is it possible that a person who is deaf can dance to music they can’t actually hear? To learn how to dance, the brain views the actions of others moving to music and combines this with careful counting,” write researchers Helen E. Nuttall and Kate Slade about Ayling-Ellis. “Many people without hearing loss also do this when learning a dance – the steps are taught to beats or counts, which are then practised before being put to music. For someone with hearing loss, while the appreciation of the music differs, the learning through observation and counting is similar. In addition, the tactile information provided through music is very helpful for people with hearing loss. Instead of listening to music, a person who is deaf may feel the music, literally sensing the vibrations through their body.”

5. The Pandemic Has Been Hard

Prevent,Coronavirus.,Medical,Mask,,Medical,Protective,Mask,Isolated,On,BlueShutterstock

Ayling-Ellis is used to reading lips. Now: "Everyone is wearing masks, everyone is social distanced. So, before people wouldn't wear their masks and they would come up close to me so I can see their face and lip read. But now everyone is wearing masks and staying well away, so I can't understand everyone. So it's quite hard.” During filming of Strictly, “luckily everyone here is very, very nice, and they adapt to what I need. I have an interpreter with me at all times, so they translate anything. But sometimes when she's not there, the cast take their masks off and keep their distance from me….And now they're picking up signing and learning some bits. They're becoming a bit more dextrous, more expression. And that's really, really helped a lot. Everyone is really nice and opened minded and trying their hardest. It helps a lot.”

EastEnders star Danielle Harold is looking back on 2023 with nostalgia and gratitude. Harold shared a social media reel of top highlights from last year, including shots of herself posing in a white bikini. “I’ve always hated change and who knew that 2023 would bring so much. 2023 thank you! You were the best and hardest year of my life but most of all filled with the most incredible memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Definitely a year I will never forget. I can’t thank you all enough for all your love and support this year it’s meant the world. Wishing you all lots of love luck and change in 2024 💕🎉,” she captioned the post. Here’s what’s next for the star.

1. I’m a Celebrity

Harold went on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! to show people another side to her personality. “I can be a little ditzy at times but I am definitely not a ‘dumb blonde’. I want to show I can do the trials, challenges and get stuck in,” she told Daily Mail before the competition started. “I’d like to think I will be good if people are really struggling. I am not, however, very good at being bored, nor am I a morning person either. I will definitely muck in with all the jobs. I don’t mind cooking or cleaning the toilets. I am scared of everything. I am dying to find out how vile the food will be! I am a bit scared of the dark. When you go to the House of Horrors at Halloween and things jump out at you, I am not very good when I can’t see!”

2. Jamie Oliver’s Encouragement

London,-,December,12:,Jamie,Oliver,Performs,A,Cooking,DemoShutterstock

Harold credits Jamie Oliver with encouraging her to become a star, after appearing on Jamie’s Dream School. “Jamie Oliver was a complete life changer for me,” she tells Sunday People. “I was so lucky to have got on that programme. It was so much fun and a completely new experience. It made me believe in myself and made me realize I could achieve whatever I wanted in life. You just need a little bit of encouragement sometimes and someone that believes in you.”

3. Lola’s Attitude

Harold went through illness when she was young, which left her behind with her education. “At that point I just gave up and didn’t try with GCSEs," she tells The Mirror. "I knew I’d never get good grades, I’ve always wanted to act; drama was the only lesson I enjoyed at school… I wouldn't cause trouble but I had a lot of Lola’s attitude. I’d be feisty and answer back. I was so small when I started secondary school that I’d have to stick up for myself."

4. Spoiler Alert!

Text,Spoiler,Alert,Assembled,By,Small,Plastic,BlocksShutterstock

Harold has bittersweet feelings about saying goodbye to Lola. “When you’re working so hard, time just seems to fly by and stand still at the same time, you’re in a bubble,” she tells OK!. “It’s daunting, but exciting too. It was such a draining and emotional story and I was so physically and mentally exhausted by the end, so when it stopped it was a bit of a shock to the system. The Lola chapter is fully closed for her, but also for me, and that’s given me a different drive. I’m really, really excited for my new chapter.”

5. Hollywood Dreams

Harold isn't afraid of being typecast as a soap actress and has big dreams of working in Hollywood. “I see soap actors in all different roles now, and when I watch them, I just see them as a new actor and not as a soap actor – so I’m excited for all that,” she tells OK!. “I’d love to work with someone like Margot Robbie, I think she’s great, or any of the Harry Potter actors like Daniel Radcliffe, but I’m also totally into gritty crime dramas. I’d love a series where you know the start, middle and end, because in a soap you don’t find out your story until the last minute. It’s just a machine, it’s just constant. So it would be lovely to know what’s happening for a change.”

You star Tilly Keeper celebrated her birthday this year with a fun-filled trip to sunny Ibiza, Spain. Keeper, who plays Phoebe on the show, shared pictures from her celebratory trip, including ones of her enjoying food and drinks while wearing a variety of bikinis. “Took a brief hiatus from my binge-watch of Vanderpump Rules to go to Ibiza for my bday,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Keeper stays fit, and how she feels about playing Phoebe.

1. Running In the Park

Closeup,Image,Of,A,Woman's,Legs,While,Jogging,In,City, RunningShutterstock

Keeper focuses on staying active over spending hours at the gym. “I used to dance, but now I just do whatever I can whenever I feel like it,” she says. “I might run around the house, run around the park or do a few star jumps. I’m not rigorous with it – I don’t do it very often at all! I like to avoid fatty or sugary foods, but it’s not a priority –I cheat every day! My mum is really slim, so thank goodness that I inherited those genes.”

2. Beauty Essentials

London,,Uk.,June,01,,2019:,Tilly,Keeper,Arriving,For,TheShutterstock

Keeper has a few beauty essentials she can’t live without. “Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat highlighter, because it makes me look more awake in the morning,” she says. “I also love my eyelash curlers. I curl them every morning – even if I’m up at 6am! A good red lipstick. My favorite is Chanel Rouge Coco because the color is flattering on my skin tone. It’s important to use make-up to highlight your beauty, rather than try to create something that’s not there. I have done it in the past and it looks terrible.”

3. Playing Phoebe

Keeper loves the complexity of her You character. “On first look, Phoebe comes across as vapid, a bit of an airhead, materialistic, superficial… and she can be all those things,” she says. “But the real core of this character is goodness, light and naivety. She has a lot of love to give – and she doesn't have a lot of love in her life, and I think that makes her quite a lonely individual. But it doesn't necessarily make her a jaded person. And I think that's really nice – she's very optimistic, despite the tone of the whole show.”

4. Rock and Roll Fashionista

Keeper describes her style as very edgy and rock and roll. “I own a lot of leather jackets,” she says. “I like the idea that it looks as if I’ve just rolled out of bed and put my outfit on, when actually I’ve very meticulously planned what I’m going to wear!”

5. EastEnders Star

Keeper started her career on the iconic British soap EastEnders. “It was my drama school!” she says. “I was there from 18 till 21 or 22 and I learned how to work with multiple directors. Not just over the years but over weeks because you have such a wide range of episodes to work across. It just taught me so many skills. It's a skill set that you can only learn by being on the kind of set where everything's fast paced and a huge ensemble. It was like a bootcamp – a really great learning experience and set me up so well.”

Friends star Jane Sibbett loves to channel happy summer energy whenever she can. Sibbett, 60, who played Susan on the hit NBC show, shared a beautiful picture of herself looking serene and happy in a bathing suit at her happy place—the beach. “What helps you feel like summer? I am an island girl, so sand, water, sunshine bare feet. If I can’t get to the beach I can dance in my daydreams. You?” she captioned the post. Here’s how Sibbett approaches life, with a strong emphasis on her spiritual health.

1. Soap Opera Beginnings

Sibbett is proud of what her soap opera beginnings (she starred on Santa Barbara) taught her about the industry and her own capabilities. “I loved my soap opera beginnings. It taught me the power of hard work, learning lines and how to hit my marks quickly,” she says. “Was I good? No, but it was the best training grounds for a happy career of hard work. No regrets, only gratitude for being so lucky to work with such lovely people everywhere.”

2. Barefoot Beauty

Sibbett is a proponent of grounding, and tries to go without shoes as often as possible. “Barefoot is still my favorite way to travel,” she says. “It makes sense, doesn’t it? Anyone who has danced with me in the last eight years knows how key the elemental energies of the Pura Vida were in firing up this gift running through me with Source Energy. If we are bringing heaven on earth here, together, wouldn’t earthing always be a necessary or helpful part of grounding Source’s gifts to share more profoundly?”

3. Into the Woods

Sibbett is very in tune with nature, and loves going into the woods for peace and meditation. “The world is wild now. Where do you go to rebalance an unruly spirit and hardworking heart? Breathing into it all, but roots like these ancient ones ground me. #peace #world #now #love,” she captioned an Instagram post.

4. Practicing Compassion

Sibbett is a deeply compassionate person, and encourages her friends and followers to practice it too. “My heart is everywhere right now. It is in Maine. It is in the Middle East. It is in Ukraine. It is with all those who are suffering at the hands of senseless violence. It is with those who have lost friends and family, and those whose lives will never be the same again. More than ever, the world needs kindness, compassion, and empathy if we are to return to peace,” she says.

5. Love In the Journey

Sibbett is proud of everything she has achieved, and what is yet to come. “I am much, much older since 1987,” she says. “I've had 3 children, a 20 year marriage, so many stories, so many incarnations of life and career, and now this new path I'm on of producing Braco's tours in America... now one of healing and helping the world feel better a new way.... I'm still the beginning. I'm still hungry to learn and grow and spread light. I'm still young at heart and as vulnerable as I ever was, but I have a deeper appreciation for the beauty of this life. There are soooo many options for us to enjoy and I am grateful that I've already had the chance to love so fully many of them with many more to come.”

Dani Elle Speegle in Two-Piece Workout Gear is "Just a Girl and Her Barbell"

Discover how elite CrossFit athlete Dani Elle Speegle stays in peak condition with weightlifting, golfing, jumping rope, hiking, and cold plunges.

Dani Elle Speegle isn’t just strong—she’s unstoppable. The elite CrossFit athlete and social media sensation has built a massive following by sharing her intense training sessions and inspiring fitness moments. Recently, she posted a series of weightlifting photos on Instagram, proving once again why she’s a powerhouse in the gym.

“Just a girl and her barbell,” she captioned the post, letting her strength do the talking. From lifting heavy to outdoor adventures, here’s how Speegle stays in peak condition.

She Lifts Weights

In her Instagram post, Speegle is seen lifting weights. According to ACE Fitness, doing this has a lot of benefits. “Using heavy weights increases intramuscular coordination, the number of type II motor units and the amount of muscle fibers engaged within a specific muscle. Have you ever felt your muscles shaking while lifting heavy weights? This is because you are recruiting and activating the larger type II muscle fibers, which are only stimulated to work when a muscle is challenged with heavy resistance or working to fatigue.”

She Golfs

Speegle likes to golf to keep herself in shape. She shared a video of herself on the course in this Instagram post. According to Randa aerobic exercise. “Golf can help strength and balance, improve quality of life and provide aerobic exercise. On a regular 18-hole course, most players will walk between four and five miles, burning up to 2,000 calories.”

She's Into Jumping Rope

Speegle shared this video on Instagram of herself competing in Crossfit events. In it, she is seen jumping rope. According to The Cleveland Clinic, jumping rope has a lot of benefits. “Benefits of jump rope can help improve your coordination, get your heart rate going and help burn calories — and it’s an easy, affordable way to get some cardio in.”

She Hikes

Speegle likes to hike to keep herself in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself hiking the Koko Head Summit. Speegle captioned the post, “Woke up and chose pain today. Every 45 min X 3 rounds: Koko head 💀💀💀 Then sat in my car and stared into the abyss while munching on Banan 🥲🥲🥲”

She Does Cold Plunges

Speegle makes sure to recover. One thing she likes to do is cold plunges. Speegle shared this video of herself jumping into a tub. According to The Mayo Clinic, these have a lot of benefits. “Research on cold-water immersion has found evidence that it helps reduce the degree of exercise-induced muscle damage that can occur after physically challenging activities. Less damage leads to less inflammation, which in turn reduces soreness and helps restore physical performance the next day. These benefits may be the result of rapid constriction of the blood vessels due to the cold water. The cold can trigger responses in your body, such as decreased metabolic activity, alterations in hormone production and blood flow, and activation of the immune system.”

Golfer Tvesa Malik in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Awesome" Exercises

Discover how Tvesa Malik, SuperSport Ladies Championship winner, stays in peak shape with weightlifting, core work, and golf.

Golfer Tvesa Malik in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Awesome" Exercises
Tvesa Malik / Instagram

Tvesa Malik isn’t just a pro golfer—she’s a powerhouse athlete dedicated to staying in peak shape. The SuperSport Ladies Championship winner knows that strength and endurance are just as important as skill on the course. That’s why she takes her fitness seriously, incorporating weightlifting, core work, and mobility exercises into her training.

Last year, Malik gave fans a look at her workout routine in an Instagram video, where she powered through hanging crunches, lunges, and weightlifting sessions. She captioned the post, “Got some major work to do before my next session,” proving that even elite athletes are always striving to improve. Here’s a closer look at how Malik keeps her body strong and ready for competition.

She Lifts Weights

Malik is seen doing a lot of weight lifting in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that this has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Lunges

Malik is seen shifting into lunges in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that lunges are a form of unilateral training, and that makes them effective. “Unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

She Does Core Workouts

Malik is seen doing core workouts, like hanging crunches in her Instagram video. Core workouts are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “While it takes aerobic activity to burn fat in your stomach, core exercises can strengthen and tone the underlying muscles. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes.”

She Does Pull-Ups

An upper body workout that Malik likes to do is pull-ups. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing them at the gym. Malik captioned it, “Got some major work to do before my next session.” Asphalt Green says that pull-ups have a lot of benefits. “Pull-ups are a fantastic way to improve upper-body strength. This exercise primarily targets your back and biceps, but involves many stabilizing muscles in your core, arms, and shoulders. Depending on the way you grip the bar, you can even work your chest. Plus, you don’t need any fancy equipment to do a pull-up. Tree branches, scaffolding, and even door frames are all places people can do pull-ups.”

She Golfs

Golf is obviously one of the ways that Malik keeps herself in shape. Better Health says that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.”

Camila Guper in Two-Piece Workout Gear Cheers on "Consistent Actions"
Camila Guper / Instagram

Camila Guper is more than just a fitness influencer—she’s a motivation powerhouse. With 1.1 million Instagram followers, she inspires her audience with workout routines, wellness tips, and a disciplined approach to staying fit. Recently, she took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her latest gym session, including a stairclimber workout, a snapshot of her Apple Watch tracking her progress, and a post-workout mirror selfie in pink workout gear.

Her message? Consistency is key. “Don't underestimate the power of small, consistent actions! Every effort is worth it when you know where you want to go,” she captioned the post. From intense stair workouts to leg-sculpting exercises, here’s how Guper stays in top shape.

She Uses A Stairclimber

In her Instagram post, Guper is seen using the stairclimber. Stair workouts have a lot of health benefits. ACE Fitness says, “Improving metabolic health in terms of lower risks of heart problems and other complications, also by definition improves fitness. You can feel your heart working harder and the fire in your lungs when you ascend stairs. And that’s provoking important changes in your cardiorespiratory system that will make physical activities, like running and walking, feel easier.”

She’s Consistent

Guper makes sure to stay consistent with her workout routines. One way she does so is by staying disciplined. Guper talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Good morning! May we always have the discipline to do what is good for us. Amen 💪🏽🙏🏽✨ 40 min stair + shoulder and chest workout today.”

She Does Lunges

Guper shared some of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video. One thing she is seen doing is lunges. According to The Mayo Clinic, lunges have a lot of benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles.”

She Does Leg Extensions

In the previous Instagram video, Guper is seen using the leg extension machine. Asphalt Green says that leg extensions have a lot of benefits. “These machines provide isolation exercises for your legs. This type of exercise works only one muscle or group of muscles, which means you can build up that part of your body quickly. If you want your thigh muscles to really stand out in those shorts you just bought, the leg extension machine is for you!”

She Spends Time Outside

Guper likes to spend time outside. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself enjoying a day by the pool with her dog. Guper captioned the post, “Good Morning! What book are you reading? 📖💚🐺🌮 I'm loving reading How to become super natural! I'm already sharing saying it's a must-read.”
