2. She Works Out for Her Mental Health

3. Exercise Works Into Her Relationship

Ekin-Su maintains that exercise and her relationship with Davide Saclimenti go hand in hand. “When I’m working, I have to make sure there’s a gym nearby. Turkish singer Betül Demir is enjoying the spring sunshine at a beautiful beach resort. Demir, 42, shared a picture of herself channeling her inner Baywatch lifeguard, wearing a red one-piece swimsuit with the words “summer vibes” printed on the front. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Demir stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Kickboxing

Demir is a big fan of kickboxing workouts. Kickboxing is a great cardio exercise which also builds strength and helps relieve stress. "I recommend martial arts to those who want to stay healthy and lose weight," she says.

2. Intermittent Fasting

Demir practices intermittent fasting, eating nothing after 5pm. “When you go hours without eating, your body eventually runs out of stored sugar to use,” says UCLA Health. “Instead, it begins to burn fat to produce energy.”

3. Prioritizing Her Happiness

Demir is determined never to give up her independence. “I have no dreams of marriage,” she says. “All my friends got married, some of them are very happy, but I am also very happy. I can't always stay in the same house with a man. Living together is no different than marriage. One signature is missing. In between, I just want to be alone with myself so that I can produce, think, wonder, miss.”

4. Luxurious Baths

Demir loves to take baths, which are shown to have health benefits. “When we take a steamy shower or a hot bath, it opens up our pores and flushes out the dirt and toxins that build up throughout the day,” says SCL Health. “Aside from just feeling cleaner, it also helps us look and feel better about ourselves when we take care of our skin.”

5. Living Her Dream

Demir enjoys the satisfaction of following her passion and making a career out of it. “At no time in my life have I thought of doing anything other than music,” she says. “I can't either. In this process, I realized that it is necessary to produce content for digital platforms. I've been preparing and uploading live performance videos for my YouTube channel with my fellow travelers that I've been working with for years.”

Turkish actress Serenay Sarıkaya is having the time of her life on vacation. The 30-year-old model posted a series of pictures of herself wearing a lacy black bathing suit as she frolics in the surf. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Sarıkaya stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Enjoys Water With Honey

Sarıkaya starts her day with a glass of water and honey. “Raw honey is the least processed and probably has the most antioxidants,” says Mira Ilic, MS, RDN, LD. “Dark buckwheat yields dark honey. But nutritionally, there’s evidence that darker honey has less water and more antioxidants than light-colored honey. It can be sweeter or more bitter, depending on the flower source.”

2. She Loves Salad

Sarıkaya enjoys healthy salads over dishes such as pasta. “After you wrap salads into your diet regularly you’ll be surprised at how you’ll begin to feel good about what you’re eating — and how creative you can get,” says Laura Jeffers, MEd, RD, LD. “Then, slowly build up to one each day, plus full-meal salads once or twice a week. You’ll soon have more energy and feel better than ever.”

3. She Loves Stuffed Cabbage

Stuffed,Cabbage,Leaves.,Cabbage,Wraps.,Chou,Farci,,Dolma,,Sarma,,GolubtsyShutterstock

Sarıkaya loves traditional Turkish stuffed cabbage rolls. “Anthocyanins give purple-coloured fruits and vegetables, including red cabbage, their beautiful color,” says registered nutritionist Nicola Shubrook. “They have protective antioxidant properties and as a result, there’s a lot of research evaluating just how these compounds benefit our health. For example, there are growing links between the use of dietary anthocyanins to help improve obesity and obesity-related diseases, such as type 2 diabetes. Brassica vegetables are especially rich in anthocyanins as well as other antioxidant nutrients like vitamins C, E and the carotenoids.”

4. She’s a Dog Person

Sarıkaya describes herself as very much a dog person. Bonding with a pet has incredible health benefits, experts say. “Perhaps one of the greatest psychological benefits of interacting with a dog is the opportunity it provides to be more mindful — to purposely focus your attention on the present moment,” says Harvard Health. “Mindfulness is a lifelong practice that can help you to better appreciate simple everyday experiences like being physically active with your dog. By learning to focus on the here and now, you may find yourself less likely to get caught up in worries or regrets.”

5. She Loves the Ocean

Sarıkaya loves to spend time by the ocean. "Seawater contains minerals such as magnesium, sodium, calcium, chloride, and sulfate that have natural benefits for the body," says Abe Malkin, MD. "Magnesium helps moisturize the skin and reduces inflammation. People with skin [issues] like eczema or dryness are recommended to take regular baths in salted solutions or swim in the sea."

Turkish actress Birce Akalay is thrilled with the results of her latest photoshoot. Akalay, 38, shared behind-the-scenes snaps of her shoot, posing in a variety of swimsuits against a backdrop of blue sea and skies. “Dağ Adalar is an island that contains all the beautiful components of summer and where everyone can experience being themselves more. We did a great job with our director Rafael Memo Çetin and his entire team,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? 1. Green Juice

Green,Juice,From,AboveShutterstock

Akalay credits green juice with giving her the perfect boost when she’s in need of a reset. “Consider blending instead of juicing,” says Katherine Zeratsky, RD, LD. “Blending the edible parts of fruits and vegetables produces a drink that contains more healthy phytonutrients and fiber. Fiber can help you feel full.”

2. Pilates Year Round

Akalay loves Pilates, especially when it’s too cold to work out outdoors. “Pilates lengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in your body in a balanced fashion,” says the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. “It requires concentration in finding a centre point to control your body through movement.”

3. Swimming In the Summer

Swimming is Akalay’s favorite workout when the weather gets warm. “Swimming, like all exercise, releases endorphins in your brain,” says Dr Samantha Wild, Clinical Lead for Women's Health and Bupa GP. “These are the hormones that make you feel good. They help to increase positivity and bring about a sense of wellbeing and happiness.”

4. She Loves To Dance

Akalay loves the therapeutic benefits of dancing. “Two hours in which I forgot everything, I was swept away from the place, time and even my life,” she captioned an Instagram video. “Is it not freedom to dance under the guarantee of your partner even with your eyes completely closed?”

5. Retinol For Skincare

Akalay takes care of her beautiful skin by using ingredients such as retinol. “Retinol helps unclog pores,” say the experts at the Cleveland Clinic. “Retinol also exfoliates your skin and increases collagen production, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving your skin a fresher, plump appearance.”

Instagram sensation Yasmin Erbil has never been afraid to show off her hard work after a workout. In her latest image, she posed in her cabana at the beach. She wore a strapless blue floral bathing suit and a multicolored bandana. Erbil captioned the post with a sun and a bunny emoji, calling herself a “sun bunny.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Yasmin Erbil stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Swims

Erbil loves to go to the beach and spend time by the water, as you can see in her most recent Instagram post. She also loves to go to the pool, since she is an avid swimmer. She posted this set of photos on Instagram of herself going for a dip in the pool at night. Erbil captioned the post, “Take me back to summer.” Swimming is a great way to stay in shape, as it is considered an aerobic physical activity. The CDC reports, “Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses.”

2. She Goes Skiing

While Erbil loves to spend time in the sun, she also isn’t afraid to spend time in the cold. Erbil is a fan of winter sports, specifically skiing. She posted this selfie on Instagram of herself going skiing on a mountain. Erbil captioned the post with two skiing emojis, and wrote, “Mood.” While it can be difficult to go outside when it’s cold and snowy out, skiing is a great way to get out of the house and get some exercise. The University of New Hampshire reports, “Often times winter can bring people into a depression called Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.). Skiing combines the great outdoor air with physical activity and some sunshine exposure that many people forget about.”

3. She Spends Time In The Sun

Erbil doesn’t like to stay inside when the sun is out and the temperature rises. She is a big fan of spending time in the sun, and posts several photos of herself doing so on Instagram. Erbil posted this photo of herself spending a sunny day by the pool. According to this study in the National Library of Medicine, spending time in the sun has benefits. “The best-known benefit of sunlight is its ability to boost the body’s vitamin D supply; most cases of vitamin D deficiency are due to lack of outdoor sun exposure.”

4. She Goes Hiking

Erbil loves to do a lot of outdoor activities. One thing that she likes to do is go for a hike. Erbil posted this stunning photo on Instagram of herself walking in a forest. According to this article from Harvard Health, “Like brisk walking, hiking is a good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, particularly if your route includes some hills, which will force your heart to work harder. Taking a hike on the slightly uneven surface of a trail also provides a natural way to engage the core muscles in your torso and to hone your balance skills.”

5. She Loves Dogs

Erbil is a big fan of dogs. She posted this adorable video on Instagram of herself playing with a Golden Retriever. Spending time with dogs isn’t just a fun time for Erbil, but is also good for her health. According to this study from Harvard Health, interacting with dogs can help reduce stress. The study writes, “Just petting a dog can reduce the petter's blood pressure and heart rate.”

I’ve been doing pilates, I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve done just plain old walking. I wear 10 pound weights on my ankles while I’m working just so that as I’m moving during the day I’m constantly building muscle. It’s not great for your back but I’m doing it anyway. Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
