She Works Out
Elektra doesn't mess around at the gym. She recently shared a clip of her routine and it was no joke. "WEEKEND GAINS AT THE HOUSE … THE WORK NEVER STOPS," she captioned the post. In it, she lifts heavy weight, deadlifts, does battle ropes, and uses a variety of machines to get a full body workout.
She Has a Workout Buddy
Elektra's workout buddy is her husband. "Finally had a chance to get home to Jersey to check out our "New House" fully opened! My amazing hardworking fiancé worked so hard to build this incredible 40,000 sq ft beauty in only 60 days! He is the definition of a hustler and I'm proud to call him mine," she captioned a post before the two were married.
She Dances
Elektra loves to dance. She regularly shares videos of her moves on TikTok. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.
She Walks
Elektra also loves going for walks, especially on the beach. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
She Drinks Red Wine
Elektra enjoys the occasional glass of red wine. "Red wine, in moderation, has long been thought of as heart healthy," says the Mayo Clinic. "The alcohol and certain substances in red wine called antioxidants may help prevent coronary artery disease, the condition that leads to heart attacks."
She Works Hard
Elektra works hard for her body. "There are no shortcuts. Work hard, be patient, consistent, and never give up!" she encouraged her followers in an Instagram post. "Studies indicate that our mental firepower is directly linked to our physical regimen. And nowhere are the implications more relevant than to our performance at work. Consider the following cognitive benefits, all of which you can expect as a result of incorporating regular exercise into your routine:
- Improved concentration
- Sharper memory
- Faster learning
- Prolonged mental stamina
- Enhanced creativity
- Lower stress," says Harvard.
