Elena Berri in Bathing Suit is "Reason for Global Warming"

Here’s how she works out.

Model Elena Berri is on vacation on the beautiful island of Mauritius. Esteban Ocon's girlfriend shared pictures of herself posing in a red bathing suit, against a background of palm trees and blue skies. "You're the reason for global warming," a commenter said. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Berri stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

Yoga Sessions

Berri enjoys 30 minute yoga sessions. "Yoga lowers cortisol levels. If high, they compromise the immune system and may lead to permanent changes in the brain," according to experts at the University of Washington. "Excessive cortisol has also been linked with major depression, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, and insulin resistance."

Ankle Weights

Berri uses ankle weights for her mat workouts. The model is so used to the extra resistance the weights provide, she can tell a difference when they aren't being used. "A couple of days ago we tried this exercise with no ankle weights," she says. "Can definitely feel the difference."

Treadmill Workout

Berri warms up and cools down on the treadmill. "They also can be helpful for people recovering from an injury or surgery, since you can control the speed and intensity, and they are equipped with handrails for added support when needed," says Dr. Adam Tenforde, with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard-affiliated Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. "You can easily vary the speed and incline to focus on specific goals."

Lunges With Weights

Berri uses weights to give her lunges an extra challenge. "Lunges are a great way to enhance strength and stability in your legs since you are forced to balance all of your body weight on one leg for a short period of time," according to Duke University. "Be sure not to let your knee come over your toes while lunging and keep your torso erect while looking ahead."

Fresh Fruit and Granola

Berri enjoys granola with fresh strawberries and blueberries. "Studies show [blueberries]  help protect against aging, cancer and damage to your DNA," says Julia Zumpano, RD, LD. "Organic frozen berries can be a little less expensive. You can put them in hot oatmeal and let them defrost allowing their juices to release natural sweetness and flavor. Throw them in a smoothie, or just snack on them frozen for a refreshing snack for great ways to enjoy them."
