She Likes Bootcamp
Eleonora likes the military approach to fitness. "I like activities that challenge you," she told Starbene. "My passion is bootcamp, a circuit of exercises to be done consecutively and without breaks for an hour. A massacre, but it's in my heart."
She Boxes
Another way Eleonora stays in fighting form? She packs a mean punch. "I also practice boxing," she told the publication. "Unlike traditional boxing that requires you to spar with a partner, fitness boxing for older adults involves throwing punches at the air or at a punching bag, usually in a class. There are two main types of these exercise classes. In one, you follow a leader and do a series of boxing moves all choreographed to bouncy music, similar to an aerobics class. The moves include a combination of large, sweeping punches (crosses, hooks, uppercuts); smaller punches (jabs); squats (ducks); and short, quick steps forward and back. The other type of exercise class involves strength training, stretching, and hitting a punching bag," says Harvard Health.
She Free Climbs
Eleonora also likes breaking a sweat out in nature. Not only does she hike, but she free climbs. "When I'm in Ortisei, my mountain, I climb. Free climbing is fantastic. I don't look back. I just think about how to to the holds," she told Starbene.
She Reads to Relax
How does Eleonora relax? "I read psychology essays and textbooks. The human mind is a fascinating puzzle that I try to understand better. And then it also helps me in relationships with others."
She Embraces Her "Flaws"
Eleonora is all about self love. "I like myself how many women like each other: Seeing their flaws, but loving them all," she told Starbene. "Take my left thumb; it's all wrong, but it's exactly the same as my dad had. I would not change it for the world. For me it is not a strange finger but a beautiful memory."
