Elsa Hosk is celebrating her pal’s birthday in her swimsuit! The model paid tribute to fellow Victoria’s Secret Angel Stella Maxwell on her special day. “Happy birthday my Angel bb Stella Maxwell. I love you so much!! You are so special!!!!” she wrote on a photo of the two standing on the beach in their swimsuits. How does the supermodel maintain her fit physique? Read on to see 7 ways Elsa Hosk stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Prioritize Sleep

Elsa-HoskElsa Hook/Instagram

Elsa makes sure to get her beauty sleep. "I'm usually good with six or seven hours. I get 6 most of the time, but sometimes I sleep, like, 13 hours. Sleep is so important. I think more important than we know. When I haven't slept, I'm not myself. I'm not as easy-going,” she told The Cut.

2. Don’t Diet

Elsa believes in healthy eating but refuses to go on any strict diets. “I am really bad at being on a diet. As soon as I tell myself, 'You have to eat this or that,' I am going to do the exact opposite, so I didn't tell myself anything. I just tried to stay away from processed food,” she told ELLE.

3. Eat a Plant-Based Diet

"I try to eat healthy and a plant-based diet,” Elsa dished to Coveteur. “I watched the documentary What the Health, and it affected me a lot. I was like, 'OK, I have to change how I eat.' In Sweden we eat a lot of dairy, cheese, and eggs, so I've cut that out for the past 5 weeks and I'm seeing a big improvement in my skin and in my belly. And I feel much better. It makes you realize there's definitely something to it."

4. Mix Up Your Workouts

Hosk maintains variety with exercising, doing a variety of workouts to stay fit. "I love boxing, and I try to mix it up as much as I can. Boxing makes you kind of tight, so it's really good to mix that with barre, pilates, or something that'll stretch you out and make you longer. I'm not the person that loves to be in the gym so much. I like to mix it up as much as possible, otherwise I'll get bored,” she told Marie Claire.

5. Go for a Run

One of Hosk's favorite ways to workout doesn’t cost a dime. "I just started running,” she told Coveteur. “I don't time it; I don't put any pressure on myself, I just go the pace I want. I think that's a really beautiful way to feel yourself and feel your body and see the city."

6. Lift Weights

Elsa stays strong by pumping iron. "On the runway you're wearing really heavy wings and really high heels, so you need really strong legs so you don't fall,” she told Coveteur.

7. Dance Your Way to a Hot Body

Elsa revealed to Elle that she is a fan of blasting calories via dance-inspired workouts. "I've been training with Megan Roup, who does dance cardio. It's lots of toning moves for the glutes, legs, and arms. She's just really fun."

She says that she isn’t afraid of having a cheat day once in a while. “When you work out as much as we do, you’d be crazy not to have a cheat day. I have to for my sanity. I’m not one to obsess over anything because once I start doing that, all I want is like pizza. The more I chill, the easier it is. I’m balanced. If I wanna eat pizza, I’ll eat pizza. If I wanna have a burger, I’ll do that.”

2. She Runs

Although this function is often referred to as a runner's high, any aerobic activity, such as a rousing game of tennis or a nature hike, can contribute to this same feeling," says the Mayo Clinic.

1. She Does Yoga

"It's just like another kind of energy you have in yoga," Pataky told Women's Health in 2019. "It's also for your mind. At the end you have that moment of laying down and five minutes of like [does an exaggerated exhale]. Kind of like a meditation. I think that's really important for your brain and to come down. At the end of the yoga, it's just good for me to lay down and think about nothing… or try to [laughs]."

2. She Weight Trains

Louis Vuitton Flagship Store Re-Opening - ArrivalsDon Arnold/WireImage

"Weight training with yoga really works with my body. I work out with weights, and the more and more I learn that, I'm not scared doing weights," she told Body+Soul. "I'm using more weight, and more weight, and more weight, and less repetitions to create that muscle. But stretching is such a important thing for the muscle—and in women, it's what makes you get the shape, the beautiful shape."

"When you start working out and your body's changing and you're achieving your goals, that's such a great thing. So, I think that's the motivation [to exercise]—feeling better and just being happy with you and knowing that you're healthy. If you know you're taking care of your body and you're doing it for a reason, you can put aside the, 'I can't do it.'"

4. She Horserides

“I am a very active person. I want my body to stay young – in strength and energy. I want to still go horseriding with my daughter when I’m 80!” she told Body+Soul.

Filming at the waterfalls and with my horses in our hometown in Byron Bay with the Swisse team was an amazing experience and was also a great learning time for me to understand more about the brand and its products. I'm still getting to know all of the products, but I already have a few favorites that I use every day," Pataky said.

In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO
