1. She Scaled Back Her Skincare Routine

Hale makes sure to take care of her skin. She revealed some of her secrets to WhoWhatWear. Hale says that she has had to scale back on a few things. “I love trying new things, and I’m a sucker for everything. But I’ve realized as I’ve gotten older that my skin just can’t handle too much, and I’ve had to really cut back. I mean, I used to be the girl who had a 15-step skincare routine every single night. My whole approach to skincare now is really about consistency and less about the number of products I’m using.”

2. She Cleanses Twice

Hale tells WhoWhatWear that she makes sure to cleanse her skin. In fact, she does this twice a day. “I’m all about double-cleansing. It’s shocking how much stuff is left behind on your face when you just cleanse once [laughs], so I use a gel cleanser first, and that kind of grips everything and pulls everything out from the skin, and then I’ll do a milky, more moisturizing cleanser after that so I’m not overdrying or stripping my skin.”

3. She Loves Face Masks

Hale tells WhoWhatWear that she likes to use face masks. “If I have time, and if I have a whole evening, I’ll multi-mask. I’ll do a purifying mask. I’ll maybe do some microcurrent with my little NuFace device, which is amazing.” Hale also revealed some of her favorite masks in her interview. “I love the ones from 111Skin—they’re bio-cellulose—which is a little more grippy—instead of paper, so they stay on your skin better, and it feels like the ingredients just soak in more. They make a couple of different ones that I really like.”

4. She Loves SoulCycle

Hale tells Byrdie that she likes exercises that help reduce stress. She cites SoulCycle in particular. "It's amazing. Emotionally, there are a couple of teachers that have made me cry. I think it's really important to take care of your mind."

5. She Loves Retinol

Some of Hale’s favorite skincare products are ones that have retinol in them. “Retinol has been the biggest game-changing product for me,” she says to Marie Claire. “But you’ve got to be consistent with it, even when your skin flakes at first…“I’m really breakout-prone, and retinol keeps my skin really clear, because it helps speed up cell turnover to prevent build-up in your pores.”

In a video she made with her daughter Teddy, in which they discussed workouts, Kelly said: “I've been studying, practicing yoga for a long, long time. And the great thing about yoga, even just the little moves that I incorporate in my workout every day, they really help with balance. “I jog like 25, 30 minutes a day. And the reason I started doing that was when I was a kid, when I was a swimmer, I needed to balance off my swimming.” How does that balancing work? “Because your body's using different muscles. And so when I would get into the water, I was faster and yeah, I used to mow the lawn before, like if I had a big meet, I would go for a run, I'd mow the lawn….Great core workout.” She adds: “What's great is that I really started running more when I was a model living in all these different countries all over the world. And it was just a really easy way for me to understand where I was, where I was going during the day. And just to get, again, like a different view of each city's landscape. And so I learned so much about all these cities and I was never intimidated by them because I would run them in the morning… I always say, you know, just put your sneakers on it. Doesn't cost a thing and you know what you get out of it.”

“It's good to wake up that way in the morning if you stretch. That's one reason why I like to exercise in the morning. So I just get that. I mean, it makes me feel really, really good. St the end of my workout, I always do a headstand. And I used to do, when I was doing my headstand, I used to say what I was thankful for and what I was, and then I, and then I switched and then I was like, what I'm grateful for? And then I realized, I'm so incredibly lucky. I have most beautiful family. We're healthy. We’re well. I am so fortunate to be able to raise them on my own. 1. She Doesn’t Take Things Too Seriously

Larson opened up about her stint on The Bachelor on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. She says that she didn’t take the show super seriously, and just enjoyed herself. "I feel like a lot of the girls [on the show] were careful about what they said or [did]," she explained. "They wanted to present themselves well and like, yeah, I just wanted to have fun. It's a show. I wasn't taking it seriously. 'Cause, I mean, that's what it was."

2. She Sticks Up For Herself

Larson was subjected to a lot of criticism because of her time on The Bachelor. Unfortunately, that included some body-shaming. However, Larson made sure to defend herself. When her season’s lead, Matt James’ friends commented on her body, she immediately responded. Larson posted a photo on Instagram and captioned it, “Tell me again, how my body doesn’t look good?”

3. She Got Lasik

Larson revealed on Instagram that she received Lasik surgery. However, this wasn’t just to fix her eyes, but to help with her anxiety. Salma isn’t a fan of formal sweat sessions. “‘I don’t have time to exercise, I am working,” Salma told People. Instead, she practices restorative yoga is her exercise of choice. “I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long,” she explained. “So even when you brush your teeth, you’re working the muscles,” she added. “She taught me to tone my muscles without clenching them. You relax them and focus on the parts that need to be used, but never with tension. If you’re aware of your body, you’d be surprised by the effect it can have.”

Habit Two: She Eats (Mostly) Plant-Based

“I don't like to diet and I'm not good at it,” Salma dished on her website. She fills her plate with fruit, veggies, and leans meats, fish, and juice. “When I feel stressed, I turn to food for comfort,” she continued. She tries not to eat meat. “The only thing I do is that I don’t eat animals every day. I eat all kinds of meat, but I consume it sparsely,” she added to the New York Times . “I would never eat two meats in a day. Sometimes I go several days without eating meat, but then I’ll go back.”

Hayek also believes that beauty and longevity come from within. “I really believe it is. People say it’s exercising. I think it’s meditation,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “You have to find your way. For me, exercising is hard. It’s really, really difficult to have the discipline to do it. But meditation is a walk in the park, because it’s my own form of it. When I don’t for some time, guess what? Not only the face starts to drop and everything starts to drop, but my herniated disc, the problem in my neck, the problem in my hip, my ankles. I start breaking down.” She added that she practices meditation “every day.”

Regular rubdowns are another one of her healthy habits. “You have to find a good person that gives a good massage,” she told Inquisitr. “I have a [massage therapist], but she lives in Japan. She only comes to London every once in a while. But when she comes, she's my secret weapon. Massage oxygenates, activates the circulation, and keeps the muscles healthy and firm. I cannot tell you, even just for the lymphatic [system], what the massage does for the face.”

Fonda’s main secret? It’s all about moderation. "Most diets focus on weight loss on the scale, and they impose temporary and often unhealthy restrictive behavior," she said in a 2012 video for BeFiT. "Unfortunately, this scenario sets us up to fail." She cited research stating that 80% of dieters “will regain all or most of the weight that they lost within two years.” You won’t find her on a diet. “Fad diets are the ones promising unrealistic results. You should not try to lose more than two to three pounds per week, max," she said.

She Eats Breakfast

"I eat a fairly healthy diet. I'm not rigid," she dished to Vogue. "I have cut way back on red meat. I've cut back on fish because fish supplies are dwindling. I eat vegetables. I eat salads. I eat fresh food. I'm just careful about what I eat. I don't eat a lot of sugar, except lately I have."

When Fonda indulges in "unhealthy" food, she exercises more. "I was in Italy for two and a half months making the sequel to Book Club, and ate gelato and pasta every single day while I was there," she told Vogue. "But I never gained weight. I would get up at six in the morning before the heat hit and walk for an hour, hour and a half, two hours on days when the work permitted me to do that. I walk a lot, and that helps me."

The first ab exercise she does is bear crawl bench up and downs. Here’s how to do it: Get down on your hands and knees, facing a couch or bench. Make sure your hands are directly under your shoulders with your knees off the floor, putting weight on your toes. Slowly lift your left hand without twisting your hips, placing it on the bench. Then do the same with your right. Return to your starting position, one hand at a time.

The next exercise is a lateral hop with a bench. Here’s how to do it: Place your hands on a bench and stand with your legs together on one side. Jump over the bench and then jump back.

Her third ab exercise is a reverse bear crawl bench up and downs. Here’s how to do it: On your hands and knees face away from a couch or bench. Keep your hands under your shoulder with your knees off the floor. Keep weight in your toes. With straight arms lift your right foot onto the bench. Next, do your left.

Next up, a hanging oblique crunch. Here’s how to do it: Using a pullup bar, hang with both arms. Bending your knees, lift them to the left side of your body. Repeat on the other side.

The fifth exercise is a hanging leg lift. Here’s how to do it: Start by dangling from a pullup bar. Lift your legs until they are parallel to the floor. Lower into the starting position.

The final exercise? Hanging windshield wipers. Again, start by hanging from a pullup bar with your legs dangling. Lift your butt and legs into the air using your core.
