She Loves Black Coffee and Pastry
Ratajkowski starts her day with black coffee and French pastry. "Every day I go to Blacktop Coffee and get this pastry called Kouign-amann with my black coffee," Ratajkowski told Harper's BAZAAR US. "I always pretend that I don't know what I'm getting. I'm like, "Um, hmm, I guess I'll get … a kouign-amann?" They're like, "Uh-huh."
She Prefers a Subtle Look
Ratajkowski prefers a more natural look during the daytime. "I shower and wash my hair, usually with a basic L'Oréal shampoo; I'm more picky about conditioners because my hair's really fine and breaks easily," she says. "If I'm going to the set, I don't put on makeup because there's someone there to do it. Otherwise I use a little Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream mixed in with Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint, brush my eyebrows, apply a bit of mascara, and that's it for the day. I don't like taking a long time to get ready."
Yoga, Hikes, and Spa Time
Ratajkowski spends her time off work working out, usually outside in the LA sunshine. "Days off, I'll get some time to exercise, maybe go on a hike or take a yoga class," she says. "Once a month, if I have an hour to kill, I'll go to a spa in Koreatown. That's my little treat to myself."
Lunch Is Simple
Ratajkowski keeps it fairly basic for lunch, especially if she's working. "Lunch is usually a salad or a sandwich," she says. "If I'm on set, I'll have catering, but I'm well behaved with that stuff. It's easy to go crazy—they know how to feed you." "Build a salad based on the nutrients you need most or simply the tastes and textures you like best. For example, arugula and watercress are peppery, dandelion and escarole are bitter, mâche and iceberg are sweet, and a green called tatsoi has a mustard flavor, says Harvard Health. "The USDA recommends two cups of vegetables per day for women ages 51 or older, and two-and-one-half cups per day for men ages 51 or older. But a cup of vegetables is not the same as a cup of salad greens. It actually takes about two cups of greens to make the nutritional equivalent of a one-cup serving of vegetables."
She Never Eats Dinner At Home
"I never eat at home," Ratajkowski says. "Dinner is my time to be social and catch up with people. I love this Italian restaurant downtown called Bestia. It's kind of fun, and they have good cocktails and wine. If I'm trying to be a little healthier, there's Café Gratitude downtown. There's amazing sushi at this tiny place called Mako in Little Tokyo. And I also love uni. Anything with uni in it is great for me."
She Always Takes Off Her Makeup
"11:00 P.M. I chug water and take off my makeup," Ratajkowski says. "I don't sleep with clothes on, so I just get naked, get under the covers, put on Game of Thrones, and relax… I sleep the best in my own bed, which is too bad because I'm not sleeping in my bed enough."
