She Does What She Wants

Roberts revealed some of her wellness secrets to Shape magazine. She says that her definition of wellness is giving her body what it wants. "I do what feels good for me at the time," she says. Sometimes, what feels good for Roberts is indulging. "I stay in tune with my body and my mind, and I think, 'What do I feel like eating?'"

She's Motivated By Food

Roberts admits to Shape that she wasn't always interested in working out. She says that one of the things that really motivated her to start is food. "I started working out regularly when I was living in New Orleans shooting American Horror Story: Coven several years ago," she said. "I really fell in love with the food there. To counter all I was eating, I worked out more. It was a great balance: I'd have fried-chicken sliders at night and then go to my yoga class the next morning."

Roberts is not afraid to indulge. She's open about her love of junk foods like cupcakes. In fact, Roberts tells Shape that this helps her stay healthy in the long run. "I try not to say that I won't eat something," she says. "Sometimes I bring sweets for everyone at work as an excuse to eat them."

She Works With A Trainer

Roberts, like many, likes to do sessions with a personal trainer. She tells Shape, "I work with a trainer, Andrea Orbeck, because I need to get my cardio. Our sessions are an hour, focusing mostly on arms, abs and ass—the all-important three As."

She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Roberts makes skin care a priority. "Because I wear so much makeup when I'm working, taking care of my skin is really important to me," she tells Shape. "I love the brand Osea—especially their Atmosphere Protection Cream and their eye and lip balms. And I use the Joanna Vargas Vitamin C Face Wash."
