She Doesn't Deprive Herself
Roberts revealed some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Shape Magazine. She says that when it comes to her diet, she eats what she wants. Even if that is an unhealthy food. "I try not to say that I won't eat something. Instead, I stay in tune with my body and my mind, and I think, 'What do I feel like eating?'"
She Works With A Trainer
Roberts, like many, works with a personal trainer to help her stay in shape. The actress works with trainer, Andrea Orbeck. Roberts is a very dedicated client, according to Orback. "She's very athletic, and she's a little dynamo, which is fun," she told SELF.
She Works Out To Indulge
Roberts says that food is one of her biggest motivations for staying in shape. "I started working out regularly when I was living in New Orleans shooting American Horror Story: Coven several years ago," she revealed to Shape. "I really fell in love with the food there. To counter all I was eating, I worked out more. It was a great balance: I'd have fried-chicken sliders at night and then go to my yoga class the next morning."
She Eats Healthy Balanced Meals
Roberts tries to have all her meals be balanced and healthy. She broke down some of her favorites in her interview with Shape. "If I have a day off, I'll have eggs and bacon and toast. I adore classic breakfast foods. For lunch, I'll do a chopped salad with avocado, chicken and tomatoes. Dinner is a turkey burger, or salmon with teriyaki or ponzu sauce, and brown rice with broccoli."
She's Comfortable With Herself
Roberts is very confident in herself. However, the actress admits to Shape that she was previously insecure about some aspects of her body. "I used to have a complex about being short," Roberts says. "Now, I love that I'm 5' 2". I'm strong, and that feels really good to me."
