Eva Longoria expressed major self-care on the eve of her birthday! On Tuesday, the day before the actress turned 47 (it's her birthday today, March 15th!), Eva shared a reel honoring herself and all of her accomplishments – and her fantastic figure in a swimsuit. “Proud Latina,” she captioned the clip. How does the birthday girl keep herself so fit? Read on to see 10 ways Eva Longoria stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Focuses on Her Health, Not the Scale

Eva thinks beyond the scale. The star revealed to Health that her unhealthiest moment was also her skinniest. “I try to have a healthy outlook. I'm your everlasting, hopeless optimist!” she said. "I don’t feel like we should go by these rules and social constructs of society where you have to be a certain size to be pretty," she later added.

2. She Doesn’t Take Short Cuts

Eva-LongoriaEva Longoria/Instagram

Eva has a no BS approach to staying in shape. "Especially as you get older, people want to know the secret to looking good and there is no secret. It's diet and exercise," she told Vogue Australia. "People say they eat well but they don't exercise. Or they run 20 miles a day but they can't lose weight. You have to do both."

3. She Does “A Lot” of Different Workouts

Eva maintains that variety is key when it comes to fitness. "I do a lot. I'm a runner, I do yoga, I do pilates, I do SoulCycle and I'm just constantly mixing it up," she told People. Her new favorite workout? Trampolines. “Ironically, bouncing on this trampoline is low impact, so you get a sweaty workout without all the pounding on your knees,” she explained to Women’s Health. “Plus, it’s so good for lymphatic drainage.” She takes classes at The Ness, usually virtually. “First, I had to figure out how to jump on the thing,” She moved from beginner to intermediate. “It makes me present. You really have to focus on the routine and memorize the movements. They switch sides a lot, which can throw you off, so you have to be on top of it. I love that.”

4. She Eats Plant-Based Foods

Eva pacts as much produce into her diet as possible. "After I run, I eat probably the same thing every morning, which is egg whites with spinach and turkey bacon," she told The Cut. "I could easily be a vegetarian because I love vegetables so much and I feel like L.A. is a place that can support healthy living," she added to InStyle. "I love cooking with vegetables and I have a secret for cooking with vegetables, [which] is that they don't need a lot. A lot of people cover them in cheese or cover them in a sauce, and vegetables really only need olive oil."

5. She Works Out Daily

Eva recently revealed to WH that she works out every single day for up to 75 minutes. “If I have to wake up early and take a flight, when I land, I’ll go for a walk because I didn’t get to work out,” she says. “Even if it’s just stretching, I need to do something.”

6. She Meditates

Eva gets her zen on five to 20 minutes per day and is currently doing a 21-day guided meditation with her friends. “You write down your thoughts and it’s so great, because when you do it with your tribe, it’s better; you can be more accountable,” she told Women’s Health.

7. She Wears This Health Tracking Ring

10th Annual LACMA ART+FILM GALA Presented By GucciAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Eva is one of the many stars who wears an Oura Ring, a health tracker that also keeps track of sleep patterns. Another health habit she’s turned into a way to keep in touch with people: tracking her sleep. Every morning, the ring offers a sleep and “readiness” score ranging from 0 to 100 based on her activity the day before and lets her know how well she slept. “My friends and I send each other scores,” she says. “I’ll be like, ‘I got a 94, top that!’”

8. She Doesn’t Drink a Lot of Alcohol

Global Gift Gala 2021 : Photocall At Four Seasons Hotel George VPascal Le Segretain/Getty Images

Eva recently cut down on alcohol consumption, maintains that it impacts her sleep. “I never used to feel a sugar rush when I would drink wine,” she explained. “But one day, Gloria Estefan told me she can’t drink wine because she wakes up at 4 a.m. The day she told me that, it started happening to me. I was like, ‘Damn you, Gloria!’”

9. She Does Intermittent Fasting

Brian Bowen Smith's Drivebys Book Launch And Gallery Viewing Presented By Casa Del Sol TequilaJon Kopaloff/Getty Images

Eva is a fan of intermittent fasting. She usually eats within an eight-hour window each day, between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

10. She Avoids Sugar and White Flour

Michael Kovac/Getty Images

One thing you won’t find Eva consuming? Sugar and white flour. “Olives, pretzels, popcorn, potato chips—that’s my jam,” she said. “I don’t like sweets or chocolate, and people hate me for it. Bread too—I hate bread. I’m never tempted by the bread basket.” A study in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology journal found that 74 percent of packaged foods and beverages in the U.S. contain caloric sweeteners, from hundreds of different versions of sugar, all of which have the same debilitating health impact.

1. Rita Ora

Singer Rita Ora tells Cosmopolitan that she’s a fan of portion control. "I watch what I eat but I just cut my portions in half," she says. "So if I want a burger I'll just cut it in half and eat half of it. That or I'll take the bread off and only eat the burger. Or if I want fries then I won't have a burger to go with them."

2. Nicole Scherzinger

The Pussycat Dolls frontwoman is no stranger to showing off her body. However, Scherzinger told Cosmopolitan that she hasn’t always been body positive. “I’m more accepting of my body now,” she says. “I was always very critical of myself from a young age, and when I was 14, I started running. I would go outside in the middle of the night and run, because I thought I had to be thinner and that my thighs should look a certain way.” Scherzinger says joining The Pussycat Dolls has helped her accept her figure. “When I got The Pussycat Dolls, it really amplified that because it had so much to do with showing your body off… But you should embrace and accept yourself more. Don't be so hard on yourself, and love your curves.”

3. Candice Swanepoel

The Victoria’s Secret Angel likes to mix up and do a variety of exercises. “For me, mixing workouts like boxing, jump rope, and basic ballet works best,” Swanepoel says to Shape. “Boxing works my arms and core, ballet elongates my muscles, and jumping rope is a great way to warm up before any workout.”

The Empire star works with personal trainer, Mike T., to help her stay in shape. And T. says that the actress is extremely dedicated to her fitness journey. “Honestly, Taraji is very disciplined in the gym,” he tellsInStyle. “She’s the type of person that if you tell her she can’t do something, she’s definitely going to want to do it even harder. 5. Addison Rae

The TikTok and He’s All That star obviously burns a lot of calories by dancing and making dance videos. However, according to this video with Kourtney Kardashian, Rae enjoys doing lower-body and butt workouts. “I’ve done this butt workout so many times because it literally burns so bad, but it’s so good,” she says. Rae’s typical 6-minute butt workout includes donkey kicks, fire hydrants, and fire hydrant extensions. She then repeats the series.

6. Rebel Wilson

The actress recently made headlines for her “Year of Health”, where she documented her new fitness and healthy eating plan. Wilson worked with trainer Jono Catano to help create her workout routine. He says, “Eva is responding well to traditional old school weight training with some unique angles and movements.” Longoria’s typical exercises include, isolated lat pulldowns, hammer curls, and cross body curls. Roberts praises Longoria’s commitment saying, “She rolls out of bed, there’s no makeup on her. She looks like a million bucks. She’s always happy. She puts the work in. I’ve never seen her in a bad mood. She’s super generous. I mean, she is superhuman, I don’t know how else to explain it.”

Global Gift Gala 2021 : Photocall At Four Seasons Hotel George VPascal Le Segretain/Getty Images

Longoria has amazing skin, and one of her secrets is rocking the natural look. “People think the trick to looking younger is makeup, but it’s skin-care,” Longoria told Allure. “If you don’t have good skin, piling on makeup just makes you look older and much worse. When it comes to makeup, I don’t overset or over powder it. The more powder you put on the fine lines in your face, the more you see it. Most people say ‘oh let me cover it’ but it looks much thicker and worse.”

2. She Puts On Sunscreen

TheWrap's Power Women Summit 2019Amy Sussman/Getty Images

3. She’s Not Jealous

Longoria is very philanthropic. One of her goals is to increase diversity in the media. She tells Us Weekly that she is working to get more stories told on television. “I have been part of VH1’s huge diversity initiative to get diverse storytellers behind the camera because if you get ’em behind the camera, then it translates to in front of the camera.”

5. She Cut Out Certain Things

After having her first child, Longoria decided to eat healthier to lose the baby weight. She told Us Weekly that she has cut out certain food in her regular diet. “I haven’t drunk wine. I haven’t eaten sugar. I haven’t seen a carb in awhile.”

Not fear like jumping out of an airplane, but anxiety about everyday things. So when that crops up, I look at it, identify what I’m afraid of and figure out why I’m feeling that way. No matter how big the fear you’re facing is, it’s the same formula to get through it: Take small steps and find the positive… and you can overcome anything!”

Then I got some, and I made it the way my grandma used to make it, with the pan on top of it to let the little balls unravel. And with some eggs, and you can use egg, whites, whatever. And it's just as good soyrizo as regular chorizo. And I think the stains in your shirt come out faster if you wash your shirt, but it's all good, man. If you gave yourself an opportunity to, even just with rice or bread, or go to the market and start with a tortilla. I eat a cauliflower tortilla that to this day you wouldn't have been able to convince me that was it was a cauliflower. I had somebody on a cooking show make cauliflower buffalo wings with sauce, and it's cauliflower, but you could not convince me that that didn't taste like a buffalo wing. And it was cauliflower.”

It's diet and exercise," she revealed to Vogue Australia. She also emphasized the important of doing both. "People say they eat well but they don't exercise. She also works out with trainer Grant Roberts, and does serious weight training. Dani Elle Speegle isn’t just strong—she’s unstoppable. The elite CrossFit athlete and social media sensation has built a massive following by sharing her intense training sessions and inspiring fitness moments. Recently, she posted a series of weightlifting photos on Instagram, proving once again why she’s a powerhouse in the gym.

“Just a girl and her barbell,” she captioned the post, letting her strength do the talking. From lifting heavy to outdoor adventures, here’s how Speegle stays in peak condition.

She Lifts Weights

In her Instagram post, Speegle is seen lifting weights. According to ACE Fitness, doing this has a lot of benefits. “Using heavy weights increases intramuscular coordination, the number of type II motor units and the amount of muscle fibers engaged within a specific muscle. Have you ever felt your muscles shaking while lifting heavy weights? This is because you are recruiting and activating the larger type II muscle fibers, which are only stimulated to work when a muscle is challenged with heavy resistance or working to fatigue.”

She Golfs

Speegle likes to golf to keep herself in shape. She shared a video of herself on the course in this Instagram post. According to Randa aerobic exercise. “Golf can help strength and balance, improve quality of life and provide aerobic exercise. On a regular 18-hole course, most players will walk between four and five miles, burning up to 2,000 calories.”

She's Into Jumping Rope

Speegle shared this video on Instagram of herself competing in Crossfit events. In it, she is seen jumping rope. According to The Cleveland Clinic, jumping rope has a lot of benefits. “Benefits of jump rope can help improve your coordination, get your heart rate going and help burn calories — and it’s an easy, affordable way to get some cardio in.”

She Hikes

Speegle likes to hike to keep herself in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself hiking the Koko Head Summit. Speegle captioned the post, “Woke up and chose pain today. Every 45 min X 3 rounds: Koko head 💀💀💀 Then sat in my car and stared into the abyss while munching on Banan 🥲🥲🥲”

She Does Cold Plunges

Speegle makes sure to recover. One thing she likes to do is cold plunges. Speegle shared this video of herself jumping into a tub. According to The Mayo Clinic, these have a lot of benefits. “Research on cold-water immersion has found evidence that it helps reduce the degree of exercise-induced muscle damage that can occur after physically challenging activities. Less damage leads to less inflammation, which in turn reduces soreness and helps restore physical performance the next day. These benefits may be the result of rapid constriction of the blood vessels due to the cold water. The cold can trigger responses in your body, such as decreased metabolic activity, alterations in hormone production and blood flow, and activation of the immune system.”

Tvesa Malik isn’t just a pro golfer—she’s a powerhouse athlete dedicated to staying in peak shape. The SuperSport Ladies Championship winner knows that strength and endurance are just as important as skill on the course. That’s why she takes her fitness seriously, incorporating weightlifting, core work, and mobility exercises into her training.

Last year, Malik gave fans a look at her workout routine in an Instagram video, where she powered through hanging crunches, lunges, and weightlifting sessions. She captioned the post, “Got some major work to do before my next session,” proving that even elite athletes are always striving to improve. Here’s a closer look at how Malik keeps her body strong and ready for competition.

She Lifts Weights

Malik is seen doing a lot of weight lifting in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that this has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Lunges

Malik is seen shifting into lunges in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that lunges are a form of unilateral training, and that makes them effective. “Unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

She Does Core Workouts

Malik is seen doing core workouts, like hanging crunches in her Instagram video. Core workouts are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “While it takes aerobic activity to burn fat in your stomach, core exercises can strengthen and tone the underlying muscles. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes.”

She Does Pull-Ups

An upper body workout that Malik likes to do is pull-ups. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing them at the gym. Malik captioned it, “Got some major work to do before my next session.” Asphalt Green says that pull-ups have a lot of benefits. “Pull-ups are a fantastic way to improve upper-body strength. This exercise primarily targets your back and biceps, but involves many stabilizing muscles in your core, arms, and shoulders. Depending on the way you grip the bar, you can even work your chest. Plus, you don’t need any fancy equipment to do a pull-up. Tree branches, scaffolding, and even door frames are all places people can do pull-ups.”

She Golfs

Golf is obviously one of the ways that Malik keeps herself in shape. Better Health says that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.”

Camila Guper is more than just a fitness influencer—she’s a motivation powerhouse. With 1.1 million Instagram followers, she inspires her audience with workout routines, wellness tips, and a disciplined approach to staying fit. Recently, she took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her latest gym session, including a stairclimber workout, a snapshot of her Apple Watch tracking her progress, and a post-workout mirror selfie in pink workout gear.

Her message? Consistency is key. “Don't underestimate the power of small, consistent actions! Every effort is worth it when you know where you want to go,” she captioned the post. From intense stair workouts to leg-sculpting exercises, here’s how Guper stays in top shape.

She Uses A Stairclimber

In her Instagram post, Guper is seen using the stairclimber. Stair workouts have a lot of health benefits. ACE Fitness says, “Improving metabolic health in terms of lower risks of heart problems and other complications, also by definition improves fitness. You can feel your heart working harder and the fire in your lungs when you ascend stairs. And that’s provoking important changes in your cardiorespiratory system that will make physical activities, like running and walking, feel easier.”

She’s Consistent

Guper makes sure to stay consistent with her workout routines. One way she does so is by staying disciplined. Guper talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Good morning! May we always have the discipline to do what is good for us. Amen 💪🏽🙏🏽✨ 40 min stair + shoulder and chest workout today.”

She Does Lunges

Guper shared some of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video. One thing she is seen doing is lunges. According to The Mayo Clinic, lunges have a lot of benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles.”

She Does Leg Extensions

In the previous Instagram video, Guper is seen using the leg extension machine. Asphalt Green says that leg extensions have a lot of benefits. “These machines provide isolation exercises for your legs. This type of exercise works only one muscle or group of muscles, which means you can build up that part of your body quickly. If you want your thigh muscles to really stand out in those shorts you just bought, the leg extension machine is for you!”

She Spends Time Outside

Guper likes to spend time outside. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself enjoying a day by the pool with her dog. Guper captioned the post, “Good Morning! What book are you reading? 📖💚🐺🌮 I'm loving reading How to become super natural! I'm already sharing saying it's a must-read.”
