Cantilo is open about her previous struggles with addiction, and talked about it to LaRed21. “I am clean,” she says. “17 years ago, I went into rehab, because I think drugs are shit. I want to tell all the boys and everyone that no, it doesn't matter what, especially the white one. I say it because I am confident. I am the living example that you can. This does not happen to everyone: there are people who can drink a glass of wine, there are people who can do something else. But I'm in the nothing program, nothing at all. I have been attending for 15 years, with different times and different relapses. I am alive by chance.”

She says that she does what she does because she has passion for it. “There is no search for a desperate end, there is no ambition, there is no desire to get my money back.
