She Struggled to Lose Baby Weight
Fifi has been open about her weight loss struggles. "Since having Daisy, I've really struggled to lose the baby weight," she told her listeners during her show. "I've never carried this much weight in my life, so it's debilitating and it hurts my neck and feet. I feel like me in my twenties, I could shift weight, but me now, it's quite difficult. I'm really trying to get myself out there but it's very hard to be motivated," she said, "but I got myself out there."
She Was Fat-Shamed
One thing that motivated her to lose weight was being fat-shamed by a friend. "It's hard enough to get myself out there exercising and then to be reminded," she said on Fox FM show in May 2020. "It's not fun when people highlight that you're carrying weight. My body doesn't do what it used to do, so that for me is a big sign that I really need to shift it, but it's really, really hard."
She Eats Healthy
Fifi has said that was a sugar addict and "yo-yo dieter" but decided to "get serious" about her health for her kids. "You're an adult and going to be a role model," she said to Who. "I thought, 'I have to sort myself out and have the energy to support myself and raise a baby'."
She Gets Energy with Food
Box told The Morning Show that she used to eat "egg and bacon rolls and Caramello koalas" before overhauling her diet. "If I was eating the way I was eating before I'd have no energy then to come home halfway through the afternoon and be a mum," she said. "When you're responsible for another human and their development then you really need to be on game."
She Hired a Trainer
Fifi works out with Melbourne personal trainer Steve Vaughan from My Fitness Journey, known as "Scuba Steve''. She regularly brings her daughter to her workouts. Scuba Steve's motto is: "If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you."
