Making Green Juice
Wade swears by home made juices to keep her feeling energized and her skin glowing. Juices made at home are less likely to have added sugars and other unhealthy ingredients store-bought juices might have. "I have a juicer and try to make juices every day – green juices such as spinach, avocado and apple," she says. "If you put good things into your body, your skin is going to look great."
No Dieting
Wade enjoys a nutritious, balanced diet for the sake of her health rather than weight. She refuses to cut out entire food groups, instead focusing on how things make her feel. "I've never dieted," she says. "I have small genes – I've been lucky like that – but the older I get, the more I'm aware of what I put in my body. I'll try to eat lots of vegetables and not too much junk, but I don't deprive myself. I love steak and fries."
Massages For Self-Care
Wade's favorite self-care treat is a deep massage, which has both mental and physical health benefits. "Massage therapy is safe and effective for people of all ages. It's not only a feel-good way to indulge or pamper yourself," says Ivy Conrad, M.S.S.G.-L. "It's a powerful tool to help you take charge of your health and well-being, whether you have a specific health condition or are looking for a stress reliever."
Organic Food
Wade prefers to eat organic whole foods when possible, and is mindful of sugar without eliminating it completely. "I've got to a certain stage in my life where I watch what I eat, so I choose organic food and less sugar if I can," she says. But she never turns down her favorite treat: "Any combination of chocolate and nuts!" she adds.
Dancing For Fitness
Wade loves dancing as a fun way to be fit and get some aerobic exercise. "My mum is from the Philippines and very small, and I've been very lucky with my genes, so I've never felt massively motivated to do lots of exercise," she says. "But I love dancing and taking part in ITV's Dance Dance Dance has made me so much fitter."
