She Takes Hot Saunas
Frida enjoys chilling out by heating up in a sauna. "For my VIP's," she captioned this photo of herself in the sauna. Should you take a dry sauna? While some claim the health benefits of saunas are plentiful, including detoxification, increased metabolism, weight loss, increased blood circulation, pain reduction, antiaging, skin rejuvenation, improved cardiovascular function, improved immune function, improved sleep, stress management, and relaxation, there isn't a lot of research backing up the claims.
She Hydrates
Frida also makes sure to stay hydrated. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids.
She Drinks Red Wine
Frida loves drinking the occasional glass of red wine. "Better. Faster. Stronger," she captioned a video of herself shaking her booty while drinking a glass of red wine. "Red wine, in moderation, has long been thought of as heart healthy," says the Mayo Clinic. "The alcohol and certain substances in red wine called antioxidants may help prevent coronary artery disease, the condition that leads to heart attacks."
She Works Out
Frida is committed to fitness. She regularly trains, even when she isn't in the gym. Here she is holding an exercise band. "We need a new fitness plan, right?" she captioned it. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans
She Goes Snowboarding
Frida also enjoys snowboarding. In this video she shows off her skills while boarding down a mounting. "Skiing and snowboarding are thrilling activities and great workouts. Both sports are excellent cardiovascular exercises that strengthen the heart. Because they are also weight-bearing exercises, they strengthen your bones as they tone your muscles," says the University of Rochester Medical Center. "Cardiovascular or aerobic exercises also work to reduce your risk for chronic diseases, and lower blood pressure."
