Bachelorette star Gabby Windey is taking time off from her Dancing With the Stars schedule to enjoy some much-needed pool time. Windey posted a photo of herself looking serene as she relaxed in the water, wearing a white bathing suit. “Am I the drama?” she captioned the shot. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Windsey stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She’s a Cheerleader

Windey was a cheerleader for the NFL's Denver Broncos for five years. Cheerleading is based on both dance and gymnastics, which can be fun ways to exercise. “Gymnasts require stamina and good cardiovascular health,” says sports medicine specialist Marie Schaefer, MD. “Exercises that get your heart pumping are beneficial both during and between competition seasons… A strong core is so vitally important for gymnasts. A stress fracture in the lower back is a common gymnastics injury that can be prevented with proper core strength. Core strength provides lumbar support and takes stress off of your spine. This is especially helpful when you’re curving your back for dismounts and arch position.”

2. She Loves Oysters

Winsey enjoys eating oysters, which experts say can have tremendous health benefits. “Yes, oysters are very good for you,” sasy preventive cardiology dietitian Julia Zumpano, RD, LD. “In fact, you probably didn’t know that it’s hard to beat all the health benefits of oysters from a nutritional standpoint. Oysters can really pack a healthy punch. Think of oysters as little shells full of nutrients.”

3. She Cherishes the Little Things

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - July 06, 2022Raymond Hall/GC Images

Windey appreciates the small moments with fiancé Erich Schwer. “We’re just excited to finally be released and do the little things together — go to dinner, go grocery shop, go to the beach — just the mundane things that’s always more fun with a partner by your side,” Windey tells Variety. “Luckily, we’re both in the same city, so there’s not too much coordinating. We’re just excited to start this new chapter and really build the life together.”

4. She Eats Her Crustaceans

Windey loves her seafood—especially delicious shrimp. “Shellfish – especially crustaceans – are high in amino acids, known as the ‘building blocks’ of protein as we need them for growth and repair and the synthesis of hormones and neurotransmitters,” says registered nutritionist Nicola Shubrook. “Most shellfish are high in vitamin B12, an important nutrient required for healthy bone formation. Low levels of vitamin B12, also known as pernicious anemia, can increase your risk of osteoporosis as you age.”

5. She Dances With Her Fiancé

Windey loves practicing for Dancing With the Stars with partner Schwer. “He's doing great. I show him all my dance moves and try and practice with him so I just, you know, want to involve him as much as I can. He's being so supportive,” she tells Extra.

I'm sure in the beginning everyone and even my parents have said, 'It's just a phase.’ Even my girlfriends, I'm sure we're like, 'Okay, this is just a phase.' 1. She Takes Care Of Acne

Windey shared her secrets for acne treatment in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I’ve tried endless products and have done endless research on how to help my skin and I feel like AviClear has been the answer to my skin prayers. ... My acne got a little bit better after each treatment and it is continuing to improve as I get further out from the treatments.”

2. She Doesn’t Care What Others Think

Windey doesn’t care what others think of her, and talked about this in an interview with Fashionista. "You can't take yourself too seriously. I feel like if you have a social media presence and are on television, people are obviously going to judge you, but it's not really personal. I think heckling is a form of love. I love it when my followers and fans DM me and roast me. It's my favorite thing to do. People come for my rugs all the time and I'm like, 'You guys, I can't get it together.' But it's like, who cares? I'm not an interior designer. I'd rather laugh at myself at the end of the day, and ultimately, I want to take risks.”

3. She Advocates For More Representation

Presentation,Representation,Symbol.,Businessman,Turns,Cubes,,Changes,Words,Presentation,ToShutterstock

Windey is a member of the LGBTQ community and she wants The Bachelor franchise to be more inclusive. She talked about this with StyleCaster. “Watching whatever gay television is allotted us, a lot, especially when it comes to lesbians, I think people think lesbians are butch and not very feminine, so I didn’t know it was an option for me. Every lesbian I knew looked different than me. I think if I had met someone like me then I would have been more comfortable with exploring it earlier. We could use more great representation with a strong woman on The Bachelor or the first queer Bachelorette. That’d be truly amazing to help open people’s eyes.”

4. She’s Accepted Herself

In an interview with Glamour, Windey talked about how she came out and dating her girlfriend. “After I started dating Robby, I had all this internalized shame from the way I grew up. If there was ever discussion about being gay, it was shameful. It really came up in therapy and I was like, ‘Is it because of my trauma? Do I just have mommy issues?’ Maybe it is, but I’m the happiest I’ve ever been these last four months, so why would I question it? But I had to go through all of that to get to where I am now.”

5. She Dances

The Bachelor/Bachelorette star Gabby Windey is enjoying a beautiful summer with new girlfriend Robby Hoffman. Windey, 32, shared pictures of their fun adventures together, including a snap of herself posing by the pool in a tiny red bikini. She also posted a picture of a very cute decorated butter dish, letting fans know it was (sadly) no longer available. “Butter dish sold out on Etsy,” she captioned the post. “Class act,” a fan commented. How does the reality star stay in shape? Here are 5 ways Windey is living her best life.

1. She Loves Dairy

Windey is not a fan of dairy-alternative drinks, telling her fans she prefers the real thing. "Dairy isn't necessary in the diet for optimal health, but for many people, it is the easiest way to get the calcium, vitamin D, and protein they need to keep their heart, muscles, and bones healthy and functioning properly," says Vasanti Malik, nutrition research scientist with the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

2. New Life

Windey recently announced she is dating comedian and TV writer Hoffman, and says she’s very happy. “I always just want to live my truth, and my story,” she says. “And so I have been seeing someone for a couple months, and I’ve been keeping it a little more private because it is like a bigger story and a bigger conversation, because I’m dating a girl!”

3. Mexican Food

An,Authentic,Mexican,Family,Celebrates,Cinco,De,Mayo,Together,AtShutterstock

Windey loves Mexican cuisine, which can be very healthy depending on how it’s prepared—the more traditional, the better. “Pick corn tortillas over flour tortillas,” advises Kate Patton, MEd, RD, CSSD, LD. “Corn tortillas are more natural and less processed, making them a good source of fiber and magnesium (great for maintaining healthy muscles), not to mention they are significantly lower in calories, saturated fat, sodium and sugar compared to flour tortillas.”

4. She’s a Dancer

Anyone who watched Windey on Dancing With the Stars knows she is a fantastic dancer. “I like to say that dancing checks a lot of boxes,” says Kathleen Davenport, MD. “In social dancing, you interact with different people and can make new friends, which has multiple psychological benefits. On the physical side, you need good balance, you need core strength, you need strength in your lower and upper extremities if you’re doing partner work. Dancing can also be an excellent cardio workout.”

5. Cheerleading Background

Windey is a professional cheerleader, which is a very athletic activity based in gymnastics. Experts say gymnasts should make sure they stay strong and get good cardio. “Gymnasts require stamina and good cardiovascular health,” says sports medicine specialist Marie Schaefer, MD. “Exercises that get your heart pumping are beneficial both during and between competition seasons.”

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout?
