1. She’s a Cheerleader
Windey was a cheerleader for the NFL's Denver Broncos for five years. Cheerleading is based on both dance and gymnastics, which can be fun ways to exercise. “Gymnasts require stamina and good cardiovascular health,” says sports medicine specialist Marie Schaefer, MD. “Exercises that get your heart pumping are beneficial both during and between competition seasons… A strong core is so vitally important for gymnasts. A stress fracture in the lower back is a common gymnastics injury that can be prevented with proper core strength. Core strength provides lumbar support and takes stress off of your spine. This is especially helpful when you’re curving your back for dismounts and arch position.”
2. She Loves Oysters

Winsey enjoys eating oysters, which experts say can have tremendous health benefits. “Yes, oysters are very good for you,” sasy preventive cardiology dietitian Julia Zumpano, RD, LD. “In fact, you probably didn’t know that it’s hard to beat all the health benefits of oysters from a nutritional standpoint. Oysters can really pack a healthy punch. Think of oysters as little shells full of nutrients.”

Windey appreciates the small moments with fiancé Erich Schwer. “We’re just excited to finally be released and do the little things together — go to dinner, go grocery shop, go to the beach — just the mundane things that’s always more fun with a partner by your side,” Windey tells Variety. “Luckily, we’re both in the same city, so there’s not too much coordinating. We’re just excited to start this new chapter and really build the life together.”
4. She Eats Her Crustaceans
Windey loves her seafood—especially delicious shrimp. “Shellfish – especially crustaceans – are high in amino acids, known as the ‘building blocks’ of protein as we need them for growth and repair and the synthesis of hormones and neurotransmitters,” says registered nutritionist Nicola Shubrook. “Most shellfish are high in vitamin B12, an important nutrient required for healthy bone formation. Low levels of vitamin B12, also known as pernicious anemia, can increase your risk of osteoporosis as you age.”
5. She Dances With Her Fiancé
Windey loves practicing for Dancing With the Stars with partner Schwer. “He's doing great. I show him all my dance moves and try and practice with him so I just, you know, want to involve him as much as I can. He's being so supportive,” she tells Extra.
