She Exercises
Gala prioritizes her workouts. She regularly shares exercise photos and videos on Instagram. Her go-to method? Strength training exercises. In this set of photos she does a plank with hand weights, captioning it, "Healthy life." She also posted these photos of herself doing lunges with weights. She also uses exercise bands for extra resistance, placing them on her arms and legs.
She Does Yoga
Caldirola is also a yogi! In this set of photos on Instagram of herself in a pose, captioning it, "Take energy. Take sun." According to the American Osteopathic Association, there are more than 100 different types, or schools, of yoga. Most practices include breathing exercises, meditation, and assuming postures (sometimes called asana or poses) that stretch and flex various muscle groups."The relaxation techniques incorporated in yoga can lessen chronic pain, such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome," Natalie Nevins, DO, a board-certified osteopathic family physician and certified Kundalini Yoga instructor in Hollywood, California, explained to them. "Yoga can also lower blood pressure and reduce insomnia."
She Hikes
Caldirola is also into hiking. "Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between," says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.
She Would Rather Be Strong Than Skinny
Gala recently put on weight. "Why am I going to lie to you, I feel strange. The truth is that for six months, half a year, I was super relaxed. I decided to quit, I hardly trained at all," she said, revealing that once she started working out she put on almost six pounds. "I was very thin, I wanted to gain weight, so I changed my routine a little, rested, and ate a little more than usual. It was good for me," she added. "Before I was 9% fat, now I've increased the percentage and it's time to get back to workout: Not lose weight, but gain muscle mass."
She Takes Supplements
Gala is also a proponent of taking supplements specially designed for women. "Supplements with a healthy lifestyle will help you achieve the ideal balance for your body!" she wrote in an Instagram post.
