Gayle King is heating up the Dead Sea in her swimsuit. The journalist spent a few days with her pal Oprah Winfrey, showing off her beautiful body in a bathing suit while slathered in mud and then floating in the Dead Sea. “Oh what a weekend … Petra … camels and one of the highlights: a Dead Sea float and mud bath ….as Oprah often tells me we have different ideas of fun … but in the end a great time was had by all… I see why the sign when you leave the airport says. Welcome to sweet Jordan ! Can’t wait to go back !!!” she captioned the Instagram post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Gayle King stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Works Out a Lot

Michelle Miller In Conversation With Gayle KingRoy Rochlin/Getty Images

Several years ago Gayle revealed to Oprah that she works out for an hour five to six days a week: 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength training either with resistance bands or free weights. She splits up her day, doing upper body one and lower the next. On weekends she will do both. She also does ab exercises 3 to 4 days a week.

2. She Stresses the Importance of Weight Training

Gayle stresses the importance of lifting weights. "Before I was doing cardio, cardio, cardio," Gayle told Oprah. "And I wasn't losing weight the way I'm losing now. Jim said to me that building up muscle really does burn calories faster. For me, that's been the case."

3. She Focuses On Not Only Losing Weight, But Maintaining

After dopping 20 pounds with the help of her trainer, Gayle revealed some of his best advice: Maintenance is just as much work as, if not more than, losing the weight. "I'd never heard that before," she told Oprah.

4. She Doesn’t Deprive Herself

Artisan,Sourdough,Bread,Cut,In,Halves,On,A,Yellow,SeamlessShutterstock

Her second piece of advice? “I deny myself nothing," she says. "Some people don't eat pasta or bread or sweets ever. I love those foods too much. So for the most part, I eat healthy, but if I go to a party or on vacation, I'm going to enjoy it; then I work extra hard to get back to where I was." And, she believes, easy come easy go and vice versa. "I've learned that when you gain weight quickly," she says, "you can lose it quickly."

5. She Does Soup Fasts

If Gayle has to lose weight fast she might go on a soup cleanse. “I went from 172.2 pounds down to 165 pounds. Update! Just completed 5 day soup fast & the results are in! Trying to get into mustard yellow dress for Elex night coverage TONITE ..praying to sweet black baby Jesus it now fits, that you VOTE, & that there is PEACE ... ps plz withhold all negative comments about my jacked up feet I’m well aware they are a hot mess but not yet comfortable in a covid environment going to nail salon... bigger issues to worry about ....” she captioned a 2020 post.

6. She Does Weight Watchers

In 2016, King, who has been open about her weight struggles, revealed that she dropped nearly 28 pounds by following the Weight Watchers program, going from 184.5 pounds to 156.8 pounds. “‘It’s going down’ — to quote Kesha — ‘I’m yelling timber,’” she wrote via Instagram at the time, sharing a photo of her feet on a scale. “October 7, 163.6 and now 160.6. Went up for a hot minute, now back on track at Weight Watchers counting the points!”

7. She Finds Joy in Movement

“I try to figure out a way to get some kind of exercise. I’ve been reading this book about the joy of movement, and I do think there’s something to that,” Gayle told Elle. “I’m not saying I like working out. I’m just saying I do it. I do the treadmill, I do the elliptical and I do weights. But I’m not going to sit here and say, ‘Oh, my God, I love it.’”

CityLine personality, Tracy Moore, is currently on vacation in the Riviera Maya. She just shared a new highlight video on Instagram. In it, Moore enjoyed time at the beach, went swimming, and posed in different colored bathing suits. She captioned the post, “I didn’t get my body ready for vacation. Because my body is always ready for vacation.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Tracy Moore stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She’s Comfortable With Her Body

Moore is all about self-confidence. She talked about this in the caption of her recent Instagram video. Moore writes, “I didn’t find figure flattering bikinis. Because my figure is always flattering. I didn’t hesitate to put on a bikini and flail in the waves. Because any hesitation would cut into my joy. Your body is ready. Your suit is perfect. Go put it on and have FUN.”

2. She’s Not Embarrassed

Canadian Screen Awards: The CTV Gala Honouring Excellence In Non-Fiction ProgrammingGeorge Pimentel/Getty Images

Moore works on TV, and things sometimes go wrong. However, she doesn’t let herself get embarrassed by what happens. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram video. “I rarely get embarrassed anymore. I don’t feel mortified often, because I’m human, and confident, and prone to mistakes or extra cake, or tripping on a sidewalk or whatever. This is life. Things won’t fit. I will trip. I will say the wrong thing and get a burst of panic sweat…But I’ll recover and move on because humility and confidence is a wild combo. If you make the choice to not feel stupid…But lean into feeling human instead…All the little embarrassing things just become part of a colourful life. So you’re not stupid. You’re human.”

3. She Enjoys Going To The Gym

Moore makes sure to go to the gym. And she enjoys doing so. Moore posted this workout video on Instagram. She captioned the post, “I move at 120 pounds. I move at 210 pounds. I move at every weight in between. I enjoy my body. I enjoy a body in movement. I enjoy the endorphin kick.”

4. She Goes On Walks

One thing Moore enjoys doing is going on walks, especially when it’s warm out. She shared this video of herself going on a walk with her dog in the park on Instagram. Moore captioned the post, “Summer is sweet because a good time is as simple as throwing on flip flops and walking to the park. Seeing the city gathered on the side of a hill to witness nature at its best? I’m here for it.”

5. She Makes Time For Herself

Moore has a busy schedule, but she still makes sure to make time for herself. She shared one of her tips in this Instagram video. “Wanna know how to make an 8am kid’s activity meditative? Drop them off. Fill up their water bottle. Kiss them. And if you have one…Go to your car. Snacks, music, books and solitude await. Hanging out alone in the car is absolutely self care. Moms have been doing this forever…But now social media has named it: Parking Lot Self Care.”

You star Kathryn Gallagher is a friend to all animals—even ones who invade her pool. Gallagher, who played Annika Atwater on the show, shared pictures of herself relaxing in her pool, wearing a bright halter-neck swimsuit—and making friends with an amphibian friend. “This is my friend toad who is a frog. He jumped in the pool and I saved him from a chlorinated demise. After that we hung out for a while and I thought u guys might like him as much as I did,” she captioned the sweet post. Gallagher is an accomplished Grammy and Tony award-winning artist—here’s what her days off look like.

1. Mondays Off

Crossword,,Puzzle,,Clever.Shutterstock

Gallagher sees her physical therapist on her days off. “I would love to say I go for a fun lunch and do really great stuff on my day off, but that would be a lie,” she says. “I wake up, I’ll get a massage, I’ll read. I’ve got the hobbies of a grandmother; I bake cookies, I crochet. The smartest person I know does crossword puzzles and I thought, 'Oh, that’s how she knows so many words,' so I thought I should start doing them too. I started with Mondays, and so now I do them every Monday—my time is getting shorter every week, I’m getting much better.”

2. Christmas In Connecticut

Gallagher loves to spend down time in the country, relaxing and recharging. “I try to get up to my family’s house in Connecticut as much as I can,” she says. “It’s so beautiful and I’ve been coming since I was two years old. I come up on a Sunday night, I wake up Monday and build a fire, make some coffee, and sit and read. It’s a dream. I’m a big fan of Sakara. I try to be vegan, and it’s all plant-based so I love it. But I also definitely indulge. Over Christmas I made cookies for the cast and I did a classic gingerbread house.”

3. Humor and Honesty

Kathryn,Gallagher,Attends,"just,For,Us",Broadway,Opening,Night,AtShutterstock

Gallagher looks for humor and honesty when collaborating with other musicians. “Honesty’s a big one,” she says. “I start any co-write with just talking. Openness and all the things I look for in a friend. And also talent is always lovely [laughs], but it really is almost further down on the list. You have to like them as a person, especially because co-songwriting can be such an awkward thing…you have to be honest and open, and that’s not an easy thing to do at all.”

4. Bagels and Nostalgia

Gallagher spends her day off practicing, and enjoying her favorite foods. “I pick up my guitar every day and write, but Monday is a good day for me to focus on the business side of my music; figuring out what song I’ll put out next or getting together the artwork for a release,” she says. “H&H Bagels is 100 percent my place. I’m a bagel aficionado, and pretty much every day off starts there. When I’m really stressed out, I walk through the Natural History Museum. I find it really relaxing there, maybe because I grew up nearby and went a lot as a kid. Nostalgia is my favorite way to deal with stress.”

5. Jagged Little Pill

Gallagher played Bella Fox on the Broadway show Jagged Little Pill, and says the experience was incredibly timely. “When I got the role, it was before the #MeToo movement began,” she says. “It was before people talked about it. Honestly, seeing how our script came to life in the news every single day was miraculous. We were actually in rehearsals during the lab when #MeToo broke, when the Weinstein stuff came out, everything. All of that happened while we were in the rehearsal room. Every day we came into work and there was a new headline about these incredible women coming forward and sharing their stories. There was no way that wasn’t going to inform both my performance and also the way the script grew and evolved.”

April Love Geary is trying on some swimsuits, and teasing her fans with a mirror selfie. Geary posted a picture of herself posing in a black bathing suit, with her hair in a ponytail. “This whole month got y’all thinking about me 🖤,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? 1. Couples Therapy

Geary and husband Robin Thicke took part in couples therapy. “Couples therapy provides tools for communicating and asking for what you need,” says relationship and family therapist Tracy Ross. “A lot of couples tell me that it is the only hour they have during the week where they’re focused on each other, with no distractions.”

2. Bike Riding

Geary enjoys riding a bike outside for some fresh air and exercise. “Many people feel a lot of tension about working out, losing weight and lowering their blood pressure,” says certified fitness instructor ShaNay Norvell. “Outdoor exercise is enjoyable and feels more like play than a chore.”

3. Swimming With the Family

Geary loves getting into the pool with her children. “Swimming is a great all-round form of physical activity,” says the NHS. “It's ideal if you want to be more active and stay healthy, whatever your age or fitness level. A few 30 to 45 minute sessions of moderate to vigorous intensity swimming per week is a great way of working towards your recommended level of physical activity.”

4. Postpartum Confidence

Geary loves her postpartum body after having children. “Just letting you know that I’m not really bothered by all your guys’ comments when you say I was so much more attractive when I was skinnier because before having babies I didn’t have this,” she says. “I am forever grateful for this baby weight.”

5. Pasta Lover

Geary says pasta from her favorite restaurant is the only time she “licks the plate clean”. “Carbohydrates are your body's main source of energy: They help fuel your brain, kidneys, heart muscles, and central nervous system,” according to Reid Health. “For instance, fiber is a carbohydrate that aids in digestion, helps you feel full, and keeps blood cholesterol levels in check.”

Love Island star Francesca Allen spent a day at the beach, and she made sure to have some stunning photos to show for it. Allen posted a photo of herself posing on the shore in a bright blue bathing suit and a white cover-up. She captioned the post, “So you say you want to get away.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Francesca Allen stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She’s Comfortable With Her Skin

Allen has struggled with her skin, specifically her acne, all her life. However, when she appeared on Love Island, she learned to accept her skin and wasn’t insecure about it. "I remember being in the villa and thinking 'all these girls are so beautiful and flawless' and there were guys I was trying to impress,” she said to Hello! Magazine. "I wasn't gonna start sleeping in makeup - I haven't slept in makeup my whole life - I would have made it worse in the long run and I would have felt even more conscious of my face… so I owned it.”

2. She Went Back To Training

Allen revealed on Instagram that she had lost a lot of weight recently, and that it was the result of finding love for herself again that inspired her to go back to training. "I'm strong in myself and I have that strength in my body that I used to have like over two years ago. I just had lost love for training, I'd lost love myself."

3. She Spends Time By The Water

Allen loves to spend time at the beach and by the water, and she makes sure to take a lot of stunning photos for Instagram. She has posted several beach shots of herself on social media. “Being outside offers other benefits, too. It offers an emotional boost and can help you feel less tense, stressed, angry or depressed. And sunlight can give your body vitamin D, too,” says the Mayo Clinic.

4. She Goes Hiking

The Beauty Awards 2019Lia Toby/Getty Images

Another of Allen’s favorite outdoor activities is hiking. She posted this series of photos on Instagram of a trip she took. A couple of these shots were of her hiking on the road, and of the stunning scenery she saw. She captioned the photo, “So much Happiness in the simplest of things.” “Get moving with these low-risk outdoor activities during the COVID-19 pandemic,” suggests the Mayo Clinic:

  • “Walking, running and hiking
  • Rollerblading and biking
  • Fishing and hunting
  • Golfing
  • Rock or ice climbing
  • Kayaking, canoeing, diving, boating or sailing
  • Skiing, including cross-country and downhill skiing
  • Ice skating
  • Snowboarding
  • Sledding
  • Snowshoeing
  • Fitness classes, held outside or virtually, that allow distance”

5. She Keeps a Positive Attitude

“I just like to smile… smiling is my favourite!” Francesca once captioned a post, asking if you could name that film. (The answer? Pretty sure it’s Elf.) Her good mood helps her health. “Indeed, some studies show that personality traits such as optimism and pessimism can affect many areas of your health and well-being. The positive thinking that usually comes with optimism is a key part of effective stress management. And effective stress management is associated with many health benefits. If you tend to be pessimistic, don't despair — you can learn positive thinking skills,” says the Mayo Clinic.

Georgia Steel, the Love Island Star, just posed in a swimsuit, and her fans went bonkers accordingly. “🦄💕🦋☀️🌸,” she captioned the colorful image. "We here," she captioned another. “WOW 🙌 BODY GOALS 🔥,” said one fan and commenter. “Stunning perfection,” said another. In fact, her comments were flooded with fire emojis. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Georgia Steel stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Focuses On Herself

After Steel ended her romance with her Love Island co-star, Callum Izzard, she decided to focus on herself. She said on FUBAR Radio, “I just want some time now to just focus on myself and I’m not really wanting to rush into anything. I’m just wanting to take every day as it comes!” “Expectations help you plan for what's coming up and can make you feel excited about the future,” says the Mayo Clinic. “But they can also lead to disappointment and frustration when your expectations aren't met and your hopes are dashed. And when they involve another person, misaligned expectations can diminish the quality of relationships.”

2. She Rolls With The Punches

Steel tells FUBAR Radio that she doesn’t let things bring her down. Instead, she just embraces whatever life throws at her. “I’m a good believer in everything happens for a reason,” she says. “I’m just rolling with it.” “Letting go of certain expectations can be hard. But it doesn't mean lowering them. There's a difference. You're not saying it will never be; you're saying this is where things are at right now,” says the Mayo Clinic.

3. She Goes Swimming

Steel loves to go swimming as a way to stay in shape. Her Instagram is full of photos of herself by the pool and in the water. She posted this set of photos of herself at a beach in Dubai. She also posted this photo of herself by the pool, captioning it, “You wanna be part of this vibe.”

4. She Has Experienced Loneliness

Boohoo Face Of Launch PartyJoe Maher/Getty Images

“Before Love Island I was a student making dinner off £2 but now I have a lovely TV, glass lights and a big mirror in a beautiful flat, my life has completely changed. But one thing I must say is that money does not buy happiness. The last few weeks I have been the lowest I have ever been since leaving the villa. Your highs are high but your lows are very low. It is a different lifestyle. I could be filming for the day and surrounded by people saying my name but then I go back to my empty flat on my own and it hits me,” she said after leaving Love Island, according to the Sun.

5. She Works Hard and Rests Hard

BoohooMAN x Toby Launch EventAntony Jones/Getty Images

“I get up at 11 if I can, honestly, I am not a morning person at all, but I'm funny. Like I'll have days where I just wanna chill, which I've literally just got back into now because I never used to be able to have chill days. And at the moment now, I think it's really important to schedule them chill days in, just for yourself mentally, physically, everything. I just think you need some time to just focus on yourself. Otherwise it can get a bit too much, but I do love working when I get into it. Boom, boom, boom, boom,” she told On Demand Entertainment.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
