I used to wake up, have crisps for breakfast, have about four takeaways a day, never cooked a healthy meal, and then I started to think about my body and what I've done to it. From there I lost weight, I felt better in myself."

Kasaei didn’t just change her diet and fitness. She also changed her outlook on life, and gained more self-confidence. She tells The Sun, “I did grow up a bit. I stopped doubting myself. I stopped being that person that was like 'I’m never gonna get that; the girls are more famous than me; they’re more popular, more rich; I’ll never be like that'. She says that one product that has helped with her skin is eye patches. “If I’m going to a shoot, I will wake up and drive with these all the way to the shoot until I get into the makeup chair,” she says. "I don't know if anyone can relate to this but my skin is so bad when I fly," she told Vogue. "I break out. I'm dry. So when I travel, I always have these little eye patches, I have face masks, I have these rollers to get my blood flowing...."

Turner revealed her favorite workouts in an interview with W Magazine. “Any high-intensity cardio, but boxing is my favorite. I go to Rumble in N.Y.C., Unbreakable in L.A.” According to The Cleveland Clinic, boxing has a lot of benefits. “The calories you burn during boxing can help you maintain or achieve a healthy weight. One study compared boxing training versus moderate-intensity walking in people with a body mass index (BMI) of greater than 25 (which is considered having overweight/obesity). The researchers noted reductions in BMI, waist circumference and body fat percentage in the boxing group, while the walking group showed no changes.”

4. She Got Therapy

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Turner opened up about dealing with body shaming comments while working on Game of Thrones. She says that she had an eating disorder, and eventually had to go to therapy. “Being in the age of social media when that’s happening, I think I would be a much saner person if I hadn’t been documented from 13 — your most awkward, uncomfortable, unsure-of-yourself years. I stopped having my period for a year — that’s when I decided to have therapy.”

5. She Avoids Social Media

Turner tells ELLE that she is limiting her time on social media. “I have noticed that social media makes me incredibly anxious and it’s something I try to distance myself from,” she says. “Having it off my phone has been so helpful. Now, if I do have to go on it, it’s for a few minutes once or twice a week, rather than hours every day. It’s made such a difference. Live real life – it’s much more fun.”

I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently.
