1. She Writes About Her Mental Health

Magree talked about her career to YoureDM Magazine. She says that she truffles with her mental health, and ended up writing songs about it. “I’m a positive, upbeat human, as you can gather. There’s not much that really bogs me down. I mean, I still get stressed or I get upset as every human does. But touring that intensely and having shows every day for seven weeks with maybe a total of four days off, I realized I hadn’t been away from home like that for such an extended period of time. It definitely took its toll. With the unknown happening everyday, I started to get mild panic attacks. I’m not a great sleeper, so I don’t really sleep that much and I wasn’t sleeping that much on the road. So ‘I Wanna Lose You’ is about anxiety. It’s about losing that thing that you don’t want in your life. I wanna get rid of it. It cannot control me. That is not who I am. There was a moment in my life where I felt that this was making me feel like I was crazy. I didn’t start to lose touch with myself, but it did start to feed into it more. And then I was like…nah. This is not me. And then I wrote a song about it.”
2. She Makes Time For Recovery

Magree tells DJ Life Mag that she makes time to recover from her tours. “I surround myself with my friends and love hard on my body. Touring is super-aggressive physically and mentally, so when I’m back from a week of shows, I’ll always try to take a couple mornings to work out, hike, hang out with my friends and get some early night rest. I’m pretty good at pulling myself out of dark places fast and I can thank my parents for that. They taught me a lot about mental health growing up.
3. She Keeps A Dream Journal

Magree tells DJ Life Mag what one of her new songs is about, and how she wrote it. She says that it came from her sleeping habits. “As a kid, I would have night terrors and sleep paralysis,” she says. “So I went to a doctor who taught me how to lucid dream and to always keep a dream journal.”
4. She Found Herself
Magree changed her approach to her career. She talked about how that happened to Metal Magazine. “I never really felt like I knew who I wanted to be as an artist, I just did what I felt in the moment and trusted the journey. After taking some time and really exploring my voice and overall direction and how I actually see myself as an artist, my vision has never been more clear and I’m so lucky to have a team that supports me 100% and is down to help execute all my weird ideas.”
5. She Wants To Make People Happy

Magree talks about her career goals in her interview with YoureDM Magazine. “For me, it’s just to make people happy,” she says. “I just wanna see people listen to my music, cry, love, have sex, do whatever the fuck they want. But, my aim in my entire career is to be able to share what I feel so passionate about and happy about. And I want other people to feel how I feel about it.”
