1. She Didn’t Start Working Out Until Recently
For many years, Glaiza didn’t workout very much. “I'm not really an athletic person but my workout includes running, muay thai and cage fitness,” she revealed on Twitter. "The most important step in preparing for running and competing in races is planning ahead. This is particularly true for longer distances, such as marathons. For these events, planning months ahead is necessary. Adhering to running programs that gradually progress running distances and allow for appropriate days of rest will progressively prepare your body's joints and tissues, allowing it to adapt and rebuild over time," says the Mayo Clinic.
2. She Started Taking Spin Classes
However, a few years later she discovered cycling and fell in love. She explained to Pretty Darn Fit that she struggled to stay consistent with exercise and that each time she hit her target weight, she ended up gaining the weight back. One of the ways she ended up getting in the best shape of her life was via spin classes.
3. She Changed Her Eating Habits
She then made a decision to change her health from the inside out, majorly reforming her diet. She resisted feasting during holidays and focused on eating controlled portions and curbing her cravings.
4. She Changed Her Family’s Eating Habits
Glaiza also got her family on a healthy diet, which helps her stay on track. She swapped out white rice with brown and started cooking less meat, completely eliminating pork and beef and replacing them with more veggies.
5. She Plans Ahead of Time
Glaiza also plans her meals and workouts ahead of time and cooks her own food, bringing it to the set when she is working. Some of her favorite meals include sweet potato fries, cauliflower rice, quinoa, broccoli, and other veggies.
