Gwyneth Paltrow spent the first day of the last year of her forties soaking up the birthday wishes! On Monday, the actress and Goop founder was flooded with warm wishes on her special day, resharing many of them on social media. She also treated fans to a glimpse of how she spent her 49th—lounging in a bathtub on her patio. How does the star manage to look half her age? Read on to see 8 ways Gwyneth Paltrow stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. She Has Been Doing the Tracy Anderson Method for Years

Gwyneth is “a total die-hard” fan of the celeb-beloved Tracy Anderson Method. “Her method works so well for me. I've seen all these fads come and go, and nothing works for me the way that Tracy's approach does, so I really stick with it,” she told Shape about the dance inspired workout. “She's amazing.” “Many of you may already know of my passion for the Tracy Anderson Method and my investment in it. She has kicked my formerly sagging ass into shape and I will be forever grateful,” she added on Goop.

2. She Practices Meditation

Gwyneth meditates regularly, recently revealing to Vogue she went from doing it “sporadically” to every single morning during the pandemic. “I do Transcendental Meditation, so that’s something you learn with a teacher and they give you a mantra. There’s an app called Insight Timer that I use, and then sometimes when I need a little meditation in the afternoon [I use] The Breathing App. You follow a ball expanding and contracting and breathe along with it. Even five minutes is really helpful,” she explained. “Paparazzi’d while meditating…” she captioned a recent Instagram photo.

3. She Loves Infrared Saunas

“I love to take an infrared sauna; it's really detoxifying. It's a real gift to myself,” she told Shape about the detoxifying practice. “I haven't tried cryotherapy yet because I'm kind of scared to, but they say it's great for pain. Our diets are so full of inflammatory foods that I think we need to do increasingly extreme things to combat it.”

4. She Is All About Cleanses

“At Goop they call me ‘GP the guinea pig,’ because I'll try anything,” she told Shape. “I just tried a goat milk cleanse for eight days to rid my system of parasites. That was really interesting. It's only goat's milk and herbs. The theory is that we all have parasites, and they love the milk protein. So if you eat nothing else, they all come out of the intestinal wall and then you kill them with the herbs. I had to try it for Goop, but I felt so good after it.”

5. She Eats Clean

Gwyneth tries to “eat pretty clean during the day” fueling up on “good proteins and lots of vegetables and not too much grain or sugar, and nothing baked” during the day. Later in the day she is more lenient she explained to Shape, eating whatever she wants for dinner, but shying toward lean proteins like fish and chicken.

6. She Loves Supplements

Gwyneth doesn’t just take supplements, she makes them. “The way the modern food system is, we're always depleted of nutrients, so I take a good multivitamin, and a fish oil, and then I have other herbs for various things,” she told Shape.

7. She Loves Outdoor Workouts

In addition to indoor workouts Gwyneth loves exercising outdoors. “Always trying to get as close to Mother Nature as possible,” she captioned a post of herself paddleboarding.

8. She Practices Intermittent Fasting

Paltrow is one of the many stars who incorporate intermittent fasting into their lifestyle. “This year, I’ve been working with my dear friend and functional medicine practitioner @drwillcole and experimenting with the program from his new book, Intuitive Fasting. Will's clear, but flexible, four-week plan combines intuitive eating with intermittent fasting and Ketotarian foods. It's designed to optimize our well-being and set us up to feel our best for all the other weeks to come,” she explained in a recent post.

Actress and lifestyle maven Gwyneth Paltrow rang in the new year with her family. And they decided to spend some time by the water. Paltrow shared some highlights in a recent Instagram post. In one photo, Paltrow lounged on a hammock over the water. She wore a black bathing suit, showing off her figure. She captioned the post, “Wrapped up 2022 with a lot of heart and a little bit of waves.” How does she stay so fit? 1. She Uses All-Natural Products

Paltrow revealed some of her wellness secrets to W Magazine. She says that she keeps things natural. “Over the years, I’ve learned how important it is to read labels and know what’s in a product before putting anything in or on my body. There can be so many unnecessary ingredients in products that we just don’t need, and even scarier, there are a lot of toxic, harmful ingredients that are masked by product marketing. Xeomin has impressive clinicals, and the formulation is uniquely purified to remove unnecessary proteins, so you’re not putting excess ingredients into your face.”

2. She Stays Hydrated

Paltrow tells W Magazine that she drinks a lot of water each day. She says that she also uses powders from Goop in her water. “I’m pretty consistent in my routine, though I am always testing out something or other for Goop. I start my morning, always, with Goopglow Morning Skin Superpowder in my water bottle. It’s full of antioxidants and fights free radicals from the inside out.”

3. She Uses Face Masks

Vertical,Shot,Of,Blond,Happy,Girl,Laughing,While,Using,FaceShutterstock

Paltrow has amazing skin. She tells W Magazine that one thing she does is use some of her facial masks. “The Goopglow microderm is pretty much the only mask I use. It’s only three minutes, but it’s a powerful little jar. Once a week, I’ll skip the microderm and do the Goopglow 15% Glycolic Acid peel at night. It’s akin to getting a chemical peel at the dermatologist, so it’s not for the faint of heart. It refines, retexturizes, and brightens overnight, while moisturizing with hyaluronic acid, so you wake up with a covetable glow. We also made a version with 5% Glycolic Acid for those with more sensitive skin.”

4. She Unwinds At The End Of The Day

Paltrow has a busy schedule, however, she always makes time to unwind. She revealed her routine to W Magazine. “I take a 20-minute bath every night. I need that ritual of unwinding from the day” "Research has found that your body experiences some of the same changes during a warm bath as it does during exercise, including better blood flow, a higher heart rate, and stronger heart contractions. And now, a study published online March 24, 2020, by the journal Heart has shown that middle-aged people in Japan who took a daily bath in either warm or hot water had a 28% lower risk of heart and blood vessel disease than people who didn't bathe in the tub more than twice a week," says Harvard Health.

5. She Eats Clean

Paltrow makes sure to eat healthy. She revealed some of her favorite foods and options to Harper’s Bazaar. “I'm usually eating for lunch stuff that you would see on the Goop website," she says. "Like a salad with some protein, or sometimes they're testing something really fun for detox, like they're using jicama for taco shells. They'll do a really clean version of a turkey burger with some kind of great sauce. It's very healthy and wrapped in lettuce or something like that."

Gwyneth Paltrow is an actress and wellness maven. She won an Oscar for her role in Shakespeare In Love. She also won an Emmy for her role on the second season of Glee. Paltrow is also a wellness maven, and has the brand Goop. She recently shared a photo of a Skims outfit on her Instagram story, captioning it, “#WellnessWednesday before a break.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Gwyneth Paltrow stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Walks

Paltrow shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Vogue. In it, she talked about one of her favorite ways to stay in shape. “I also love to walk,” Paltrow revealed. “I walk and walk and walk! Someone once said to me ‘walking brings the soul and the body together,’ and I really believe that.”

2. She Gets Facial Treatments Done

Paltrow shared her skincare secrets in her Vogue interview. She says that she likes to have different treatments done to her face. “I used to get facials regularly, especially when I lived in London, with Anastasia Achilleos, but I haven’t seen her since before the Covid-19 pandemic,” Paltrow said. “I really love a facial massage, [lymphatic] drainage, and working the muscles, as opposed to lasers. I’m a little freaked out about using lasers on the face, and I’ve seen weird results on certain people. It feels risky. Once in a while, I’ll do a facial with red light for inflammation or something like that. We also sell the Lyma laser at Goop—it’s really good and gentle, so I’ll do that.”

3. She Embraces Herself

In her Vogue interview, Paltrow talked about the importance of embracing her changing looks. “As women, we want to be healthy, we want to be aging,” she said. “This idea that we’re supposed to be frozen in time is so weird. I love it when I hear somebody like Andie MacDowell, with her beautiful grey curls, talking about embracing aging and the difference between how we handle a George Clooney [compared to how most women are perceived]. It’s handsome to go grey [as a man], but for women, it’s like, ‘What do you plan to do about your wrinkles and your aging skin?’ There’s definitely a double standard. But again, we want to be aging! I think we want to be setting examples of how you can age. Every woman should do it how they want to do it. Some women want to address every single thing aesthetically, and some women want to be a fabulous French grandmother who doesn’t ever do anything. Everybody should be empowered to do it how they want to.”

4. She Loves Baths

To wind down, Paltrow likes to take baths. She shared her favorite bath products in her interview with Vogue. “We made a bath product at Goop that I love, which is called the Martini—it has oils and different salts in it,” she said. “There’s a brand called Bathorium that I use, as well as Pursoma. I like to mix up the bath salts and make it a really sensual experience. Very, very hot water and stay in it for 20 or 30 minutes.”

5. She Works Out Regularly

GwynGwyneth Paltrow/Instagram

Paltrow makes working out a priority in her life. She revealed in an Ask Me Anything series that she exercises regularly. “I do something six days a week, but with a lot less intensity than I used to,” Paltrow explained. “Even just going for an hour walk, or like now, I’m walking around our giant Goop office. I usually take multiple spins around to stretch my legs. But I try to do something – a little something – every day.”

Paltrow revealed some of her wellness secrets to Women’s Health. She says that she works out on a regular basis, as she has made it a large part of her daily routine. “I’ve made it a habit, just like brushing your teeth. That’s how you have to look at it.”

2. She Eats Healthy

Paltrow tells Women’s Health that she has the same mentality with healthy eating that she has with exercise. She says it makes it a regular part of her routine. “I have a pretty healthy diet,” she says. “So when I’m eating processed foods and not watching my alcohol intake, I feel it.”

3. She Indulges Sometimes

Paltrow admits to Women’s Health that she does like to indulge from time to time. “You want deliciousness, you want fun — pleasure,” she says. “You’re going to have a baguette-and-cheese-and-red-wine frenzy sometimes, but you want it to be a choice you’re awake to: ‘I know this might not make me feel great, but today I’m choosing it anyway.’”

4. She Doesn’t Let Criticism Affect Her

Sex, Love & goop Special Screening Hosted By Gwyneth PaltrowStefanie Keenan/Getty Images

Paltrow has been subjected to a lot of criticism over the years. However, she says that she doesn’t let it bother her. “When someone doesn’t like something you do, or doesn’t share your interest in something, that doesn’t have anything to do with you,” she says to Women’s Health. “One of the best things someone ever said to me was that the only time criticism hurts is if you have a judgment about yourself about that very thing.”

5. This is Her Morning Routine

Paltrow revealed her morning routine in this post on Goop. She revealed some of her favorite wellness routines. “Brad and I meditate for 20 minutes. We practice TM, which I learned seven or eight years ago. I initially did it sporadically, and it didn’t really become a routine until Brad learned it, too, and it became more easily integrated into our mornings. It’s been nice to do together during the pandemic, and we’ve kept it up.”

1. She Is Learning How to Accept Aging

demi-moore-1Demi Moore/Instagram

When asked by W about aging, Demi revealed that while “things do change” she has learned to accept the aging process. “The biggest difference, I think, is that I’m not in nearly as good shape physically as I have been before, and I have skin going in a direction that I would prefer it not go. There are things that just come with getting older. But I think my big mantra for this year is about acceptance,” she said.

2. She Exercises at Home

After forgoing exercise for "over four years” Moore recently discovered The Mirror and started taking classes via the at-home fitness tool. “My maiden voyage with @getthemirror 15 min at level 1. That’s doable after not working out for over 4 years right? I am stalling!” she wrote in an Instagram post.

3. She Is Sober

Demi maintains a sober lifestyle. During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar she discussed first getting sober in her 20s, relapsing in her 40s, and getting back into the healthy lifestyle in her 50s. “In retrospect, what I realized is that when I opened the door [again], it was just giving my power away,” she said. “I guess I would think of it like this: It was really important to me to have natural childbirth because I didn’t want to miss a moment. And with that I experienced pain. So part of being sober is, I don’t want to miss a moment of life, of that texture, even if that means being in—some pain.”

4. She Is Active Outdoors

Demi is a big fan of outdoor activities. She regularly shares photo of herself and family going on walks and hikes.

5. She Does Yoga

Demi is a longtime yoga, and tries various practices. “Yoga has many styles, forms and intensities. Hatha yoga, in particular, may be a good choice for stress management. Hatha is one of the most common styles of yoga, and beginners may like its slower pace and easier movements. But most people can benefit from any style of yoga — it's all about your personal preferences,” explains the Mayo Clinic.

Rayna Vallandingham is flashing her washboard abs – in a two-piece exercise set from Alo. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her impressive midsection during a workout at the gym. “dojang diaries,” she captioned the series of snaps. “Magnific! Very very beautiful,” commented one of her followers. “♥️More like diaries of a hottie♥️” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Be Consistent

Consistency – at the gym and the martial arts studio – is the key to success. "It is a way of life," Rayna says. "It's not only teaching your body movements and being in synchronicity with your body, but also just like the mental aspect of it."

Fight Your Way to a Hot Body

Rayna is a big fan of martial arts. She has been doing taekwondo since she was 2, earning her first black belt at 6. "In the very beginning, my parents put me in the sport because I was just really shy, and I think they could tell that I needed something," says Vallandingham, who lives and trains in Los Angeles. "Immediately, I just loved it. I felt at home, and every single day, instead of watching Dora, I wanted to go to the dojo,” she told Well + Good. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function, psychological health, weight loss, and physical fitness.

Work on Strength and Flexibility

Rayna recommends prioritizing strength, flexibility, and power. "Of the three, I think strength and flexibility are the top two," Vallandingham says. "We used to have people stand on my legs and force my knees to come down in butterfly stretch," she says. "I have permanent damage to my body—I have tendonitis [because of this]."

Lift Weights

If you want a strong, lean body like Vallandingham, you must lift for it. The star strength trains, focusing on supersets, doing two moves back-to-back that target the same muscle groups to double down on their gains. One of her favorite exercises is a goblet squat. She stands with her feet shoulder-width apart, folded forward until she can slide her palms underneath her soles (you could also hold your ankles or calves), then bends her knees, lowering her butt toward the floor while lifting her chest, coming into a deep squat. She'll bend and extend her legs several times in this position. Then, it's on to the main event, holding a weight in her hands while bending down into a deep squat. "I love utilizing a Bosu ball—they're pretty much in every single gym," she adds.

Stretch

Rayna never skips stretching. She starts by by lying on the floor with her legs up the wall and then allowing them to open out into a side split. "I let gravity do its work because that's my body telling me, okay, this is where we're at," she says. "My hips are opening on their own, and I'm not having to force anything." “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Charli Hawkins is training in the snow – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the Olympian shows off her fantastic figure – including her flat abs – in an exercise set while enjoying the winter weather. “TRAINING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND! ❄️🥶❤️✨Gearing up in this altitude for the LONDON MARATHON this April! I’m so excited to see what my mind and body can make happen! To my marathon runners: it’s your time to shine, PLEASE tell me ALL of your tips, all of your advice, and for all of you who understand what I’m about to attempt, please send your words of encouragement 😂 Also feel free to try to talk me out of this as well thanks👍 We are on the training countdown. Turning a sprinter, jumper, and thrower into a long distance runner 🫣🙌 What do you think my time will be?” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Minfulness and Meditation

Charli practices mindfulness. Before going for a run, she says words of intention. “I am willing. I am grateful. I surrender,” she revealed during an interview with San Diego Magazine. Meditation:

“When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Stretching

She also makes sure to stretch. “If you ever can think of some dynamic stretches: F.A.S.T. ✨🙌 My left hip and right QLs have been SO tight lately so I’m on a journey of getting them right! What’s bugging you at the moment???” she captioned a post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Here Is The Right Way To Run

During her interview with San Diego, Charli explained how you should be running. “Remember, the sole of the foot is showing right in front of us,” she said, doing a type of high-knee movement. “To do this, you’re over exaggerating your running form while standing still. Raise your knee up, point your toes to the clouds (forming an A), and then pedal the sole of your foot forward before striking your knee down. It’s more complicated than it sounds after 30-plus years of moving a certain way,” the writer explained.

Positive Attitude

In a recent post Charli revealed things she learned about positivity. “Patience is easier when it isn’t required,” she said. “The people around you are BLESSINGS (which I feel like I already understood but sometimes it’s nice to have it emphasized).” Also, “We are up, we are down, but trusting the process sometimes means knowing that it’s all good even when it’s not the best” and “Making a plan is the best option for everything. It’s ok if the plan doesn’t go perfect, but just willy-nilly-ing it is not the best option when you want to get things done.”

Never Giving Up
