1

Embrace Your Body

Halsey embraces their body, whether pregnant, curvy, or skinny. "My pregnancy has changed my body so much. Learning how to have a personal sense of style when you're not used to your new shapes has become a real struggle," Halsey wrote on Twitter in 2021. "To all the mommas (or really just anyone going thru something similar) I feeeel you."

2

Celebrate Your Perfect Imperfections

Halsey does their part in normalizing stretch marks. "Well….this is what it look like 🧸,"  the star captioned some snaps in 2021, flaunting their tiger stripes.

Be Real About Mental Health Struggles

Halsey, who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, has become a mental health advocate. "No jokes right now. I have dedicated my career to offering education and insight about bipolar disorder and I'm so disturbed by what I'm seeing. Personal opinions about someone aside, a manic episode isn't a joke. If you can't offer understanding or sympathy, offer your silence," they captioned an Instagram post after  their album, Manic, was released.

Don't Buy Into Shaming

Halsey doesn't tolerate body shaming. "When this pregnancy started, I was like, 'You're going to do yoga and eat flaxseed. You're going to use essential oils and hypnobirth and meditate and fucking journal every single day,'" they explained to Allure. "I have done none of those things. Zero. None. I eat cookies and had a bagel every single day for the first five months of my pregnancy."

5

Be Transparent About Your Sexuality

Halsey, who identifies as bisexual and uses the pronouns they/them, has always been open about their sexuality. "You never stop coming out," they revealed. "It's not like you tell your mom and dad and then everything's all good. You need to prepare yourself for that." They also added, that it's okay not to have it all figured out. "You don't have to decide at 13 years old 'I'm a lesbian and that's it' or 'I'm scared to come out. What if I change my mind?'" she says. "It's not for other people to validate you or determine if your queerness is real enough."

6

Be Proactive About Your Health

Halsey recently lost a lot of weight, revealing to fans it was the result of health struggles. "So, I know that a lot of you guys have been wondering what's going on with my health, and some of you saw a TikTok yesterday basically confirming that I'm allergic to literally everything," they said in an Instagram Story. "Obviously my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth. I started getting really, really, really sick," she continued, adding that they've been "kind of" sick for "most of [their] adult life, but it started getting really bad," they continued. "I was hospitalized for anaphylaxis a few times and had some other stuff going on. Basically, after seeing like 100,000 doctors, I got diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren's syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome)."
