1. She Exfoliates with Coffee

Helena-ChristensenHelena Christensen/Instagram

Helena shared a clip of herself exfoliating her legs in the river with coffee grounds. “I have a yearning to be in the water. If there’s a pond or a river or a stream or the ocean, it’s calling me. I just have to get in,” she told Sydney Morning Herald. She revealed that her go-to treatment is a “river-side exfoliator.” She mixes coffee grounds with coconut butter and a few drops of herb or flower essential oil. “I mix it all together and use that as a body exfoliator. I take it with me down to the river, and I sit there on a rock and scrub. It makes you feel good and gives you a rush in your body. Which definitely makes it better when you jump into the river straight after,” she said.

2. She Sleeps, Drinks Water, and Lives in the Moment

The best advice Helena’s ever gotten? “I’m still waiting on the best piece of advice, but, if I was going to give myself a good piece of advice it would be to get enough sleep, to drink way more water, but also something that I absolutely live by – try and be in the moment, no matter what, every single day,” she told Karen Millen.

3. She Doesn’t Care What You Think of Her

The key to self-confidence? “I think, is mostly about not caring too much what anyone else thinks of you. Despite this you should absolutely be kind, be fair, be honest and believe in yourself,” she told Karen Millen.

4. She Spends Time in Nature

Helena is living her best life when she is in nature. [It is] “almost like a therapist to me – it’s everything,” she told Sydney Morning Herald. “Wherever I am in the world, I always find the little parks, the green spots. I need to hear the birds, I need to see green. Nature recharges me in every possible way. I like to think I was a mermaid in my last life.”

5. She Does Yoga

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - November 04, 2019Raymond Hall/GC Images

Helena is one of the many stars who gets her zen on. "It took me years to get into yoga because I wasn't into the whole spiritual thing. I didn't want to go to a class and have to chant, though I know it helps so many people. I finally found a place where we get right into it, and I end up leaving completely re-energised and totally sweaty,” she explained to Harper’s Bazaar UK.

6. She Doesn’t Diet

Was dieting ever a part of Helena’s life? “Never – the whole [idea of] dieting was not in my universe. For me, having anyone tell me when I was in my 20s, ‘Oh my god, you look so great and you’re so skinny,’ I would actually be so upset,” she told Sydney Morning Herald. “I don’t care if I look beautiful to anyone else, and it’s not even about looking beautiful per se, it’s about just feeling and looking healthy.” Food is a crucial part of her life. “A big part of that is growing up with a South American mother who was in the kitchen all day cooking for me and my sister and my dad. We ate everything from the moment we entered this world, and I’ve been like that ever since. That’s how I brought my own kid up – there is nothing we don’t eat.”

1. She Finds the Water Healing

"My biggest wellness passion is being in water, the ocean, a lake, river, or pool," she once told Charlotte's Book. "I’ll even lie down on a stream if that’s what’s around. Or jump into a harbor." One time she wrote: “There's a stillness that compares to no other, the sound of a shoreline, when there are no waves, no wind, no one. Just tiny ripples of water silently approaching the sand."

2. This is What She Eats for Breakfast

Dom Perignon & Born This Way Foundation Host Charity Dinner On World Kindness DayDominik Bindl/Getty Images

“My favorite breakfast is porridge cooked with milk and topped off with banana, brown sugar and a big lump of melting butter in the middle,” she told Net-a-Porter. “Oats contain a type of soluble fiber, called beta glucan, which lowers blood glucose and cholesterol levels, thus reducing risk of heart disease and diabetes. Beta glucan also promotes healthy gut bacteria and intestinal health,” says the Mayo Clinic.

3. This is How She Likes to Work Out

“I do boxing and conditioning three times a week…and yoga twice a week. They keep my body strong, firm and toned. I started enjoying working out when I began to understand the anatomical aspect of it and learned how to recruit muscle groups,” she told Net-a-Porter.

4. Yoga Does a Body Good

Cohen Media Group And The Cinema Society Host The After Party For "Serendipity"Paul Bruinooge/Patrick McMullan via Getty Images

“It’s the American way — better, harder, faster competition and that’s totally the opposite of what yoga is. Yoga is about being in the moment. Not competing, not judging but listening to our body. It’s about developing the practice of doing the best you can each day without hurting yourself. Some days are balanced. Some days, we’re not as flexible. And with that overriding acceptance, we learn from ourselves,” says yoga therapist and yoga program manager, Judi Bar to Cleveland Clinic.

5. This is Her Best Relationship Advice

“It’s more what I have learned myself throughout the years, that there needs to be a level of respect towards the other person that is reciprocated. A relationship should be about compromising and not sacrificing, you should feel like you’re still growing and evolving,” she told the Zoe Report.

Helena Christensen is a Danish supermodel. She’s known for her time as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and for her role in Chris Isaak’s video for “Wicked Game.” Christensen is in her 50’s, yet still looks incredible, and has the same body from her modeling days, as she demonstrated in Instagram photos she posted yesterday. 1. She Tries A Lot of Different Workouts

Screen Shot 2021-10-29 at 11.17.15 AMHelena Christensen/Instagram

Christensen revealed to Allure that she’s tried a lot of different workouts throughout her life. Some are pretty unexpected and unique. She says, "I used to wake up in the morning and sprint, which is a great way to spark your metabolism and get your brain tuned up. And in my mid-30s, I started boxing. My newest exercise is pole dancing, and it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. The upper-body strength you need to carry out any of the moves is mind-blowing."

2. She Eats What She Wants

Screen Shot 2021-10-29 at 11.17.24 AMHelena Christensen/Instagram

Despite being a supermodel, Christensen says she’s never been on a stereotypical “model diet.” In fact, she tells Allure that she eats what she wants. "I’m not the kind of person who will limit myself to any kind of food. I could not live without bread and pasta. I eat real butter and drink whole milk. And I’m obsessed with Japanese food and Moroccan stews. So when I think about working out, yes, it’s good for the mind — but it’s also because I eat a hell of a lot of food."

3. She Takes Vitamins

Screen Shot 2021-10-29 at 11.17.36 AMHelena Christensen/Instagram

One of Christensen’s health secrets is taking vitamins daily. In fact, she’s had this ritual for a long time. "I was always the one carrying around the plastic pillbox with the days of the week on it, spilling vitamins in my bag,” she says to Allure. “When I was approached by Lumity, I tried [the supplements] for a few months and saw that I could eliminate a lot of the other pills I was taking. They all contain vitamin D, zinc, flaxseed oil. I’m taking care of my insides and my outsides, and that’s the best I can do."

4. She Meditates, In Her Own Way

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - April 08, 2021Helena Christensen/Instagram

Christensen tells Allure that she’s a big fan of meditation. However, she says that she doesn’t meditate in the traditional way. She says, "I can’t just sit still and think of a mantra or repeat a thought or a word. But there are other ways of finding your stillness. Sometimes I do it by organizing or cleaning. I recently took up piano again, and that is a very good way of being in a calm zone by myself and using my mind differently. That’s my form of meditation. The key is to find what works for you."

5. She Gets Her Beauty Sleep In

When revealing her wellness secrets to Harper’s Bazaar, Christensen said one of her most important tricks is getting enough sleep. "I feel absolutely the best when I have had good sleep. That’s my number one priority. I actually think it is the number one priority for most people. It just changes your entire day - when you haven't had enough sleep and also when you have."

6. She Never Holds Herself Back

Cohen Media Group And The Cinema Society Host The After Party For "Serendipity"Paul Bruinooge/Patrick McMullan via Getty Images

While sexism and double standard are rampant through society, Christensen says that she tries to not feel held back by her gender. She encourages others to do the same, saying to Harper’s Bazaar, "I've never looked at myself and thought, you can't do this because you're a woman. Over and over, it’s been proven that women can do the same physical activities as men. Don't hold yourself back, especially if you feel like you can't because of your gender. That shouldn't be the reason stopping you from doing anything."

Boxing might seem like a male-orientated sport but there are as many women where I go and that is a very authentic, sweaty club.”

5. Total Foodie

Christensen is not one for restrictive diets—she enjoys food too much. “I love food more than anything... more than my family and friends and almost as much as my dog!” she says. “I could eat pasta every night, with tons of parmesan or a few white truffles thrown in (for a hundred dollars more!). I also love Japanese food and I always think I'm eating so clean... before I order a hundred different options!”

Heidi Klum is dancing it up in a luxurious swimsuit! On Saturday, the German supermodel got the world’s attention, showing off her moves and her hot body in a bathing suit. Her message? Her new single collaboration for Germany’s Top Model theme song, Chai Tea with Heidi, played in the background. How does she manage to make 48 look like 24? Read on to see 8 ways Heidi Klum promotes longevity and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Beauty Boils Down to the Basics

According to Klum, her forever young beauty boils down to the basics. “A lot of beauty comes down to common sense,” she told Who What Wear. “I get bombarded with products from all over the world, and I love trying all of those different things, but for me, the basics are most important. When I eat well and keep hydrated I can see the difference in my face when I look in the mirror. You’ve got to look in the mirror and see if there is something up. That way, you know if you break out it could be because of the garbage you ate. If you look dry and your skin doesn’t snap back, you’re not hydrated. If you just look at yourself and listen, you know what to do.”

2. Her Diet Is Healthy

2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/Getty Images

Klum maintains that you are what you eat. “For me, beauty is all about food. There is only so much you can do topically. I learned that a really long time ago. I’ve been in this industry since 1992 and I’ve always believed you are what you eat. Having said that, a lot of work has to go into every meal to make sure you’ve got all of the fatty acids, vitamins, antioxidants and hydration you need. We can’t do it all because it’s a lot of work to prepare. Often, I’ll find the time to do the prep (like put chia seeds in to soak overnight), but not everyone has the time and freedom to do things like this, especially as we get older! I find that a supplement is a great add-on to my already pretty healthy diet. A couple of years ago I started taking one Perfectil a day because I was getting older and thought, ‘What do I have to lose?!’ Of course, no pill will solve your beauty problems. Food always comes first, but I do think it’s a good boost,’” she told WWW.

3. She Washes Her Face with Baby Shampoo

Klum uses shampoo as a face wash. “A long time ago, I went to see an eye doctor because I had a sty and they told me to wash my face with Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo. Some days I’ll get home from work and have multiple layers of fake eyelashes on and lots of makeup and they told me that Baby Shampoo will mean I can really get into the eye and clean all of the makeup out. It made sense to me! Now it’s all I use. It’s not super-harsh unlike all of these products at the moment that strip your skin. Personally, they don’t work for me,” she told WWW.

4. Coconut Oil Is Her Favorite Product

Homemade,Coconut,Products,On,White,Wooden,Table,Background.,Oil,,Scrub,Shutterstock

Klum revealed to WWW that one of her favorite skincare products is actually cooking oil. “I love using just plain, old coconut oil that you get in the supermarket. Especially in Los Angeles right now, everything is so dry and I’m outside a lot. I love to lather up some coconut oil in my hair and on my body too. It’s so inexpensive and it just makes everything feel so yummy and nourished. In general, I like going more towards the natural things instead of the sorts of products that are full of perfumes and astringents. I really love trying all of those things but very rarely do I actually stick with it. I’d rather use coconut oil,” she told WWW.

5. She Uses Sunscreen

Amy Sussman/WireImage

Klum revealed to Harper’s Bazaar UK that she hasn’t always slathered on SPF. "I have added sunscreen to my daily routine. I grew up without a lot of awareness of how important it is to keep your skin protected from the sun. I remember tanning with baby oil – can you imagine doing that now? I have always been a sun bum. I’m at my happiest on a beautiful beach in the hot sun but, now, I put on sunscreen first. I like the tinted sunscreen by La Roche Posay,” she said.

6. She Takes Supplements

Amy Sussman/Getty Images

"I definitely think that you can buy all the potions and creams but it is essential to nourish your skin from within,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I drink a fresh smoothie every morning that is made from fresh fruit and vegetables, and I take two Perfectil Vitamins which are targeted for my skin, hair and nails."

7. She Exfoliates

2019 American Music Awards - Red CarpetJeff Kravitz/FilmMagic

Klum revealed to Elle UK that she is all about exfoliating, getting body scrubs at Beverly Hot Springs. “It's the best one I've ever had. They get off all your dead skin, I love it!” she said.

8. She Loves Drunk Elephant Products

In one of her Instagram posts, Klum revealed some of her skincare go-tos. They included Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum, Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial™ 25% AHA + 2% BHA Mask, and Drunk Elephant C-Firma™ Vitamin C Day Serum.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
