When they reached out to her to be on the show initially, “I had no idea that it was Too Hot to Handle,” she says on her YouTube channel. “But the second that I saw Lana”—the show’s virtual assistant—“I knew, I just knew and first thought in my head was you have got to be kidding me. It's actually really crazy how you can like trick a group of what, like 10 to 14 people, to come out to shoot a show and then it turns out being something completely different. The fact that that's even legal is super cool. But I'm really happy that I caught the experience. It really was a journey. Like people just go on and think, oh, it's a TV show, but people forget at the end of the day, it's about self progression. We did a ton of workshops and we were pushed to the brink every day, pushing our boundaries and trying to progress ourselves as people.”

2. Yes, She Ate Well During Too Hot to Handle

“I get this question so much. I don't know why everyone's concerned about what we were eating or if we ate on Too Hot to Handle—the answer is yes, we did not not eat for a month and a half. In fact, we had a plethora of food. I was eating so much and we could have as many plates as we want. We had an open buffet, not to mention, we had a really amazing chef. I think the chef was Rihanna's chef. So we had the best food. And you would think that we were like eating salads and stuff, but like we had a lot of like pizza and like french fries and every day was a pizza party,” she said on YouTube. “So we definitely had a fun time eating. One of my favorite moments in filming was just like being in the dining room and sitting with people and we were always testing our mics. And so like, we'd have to go around and be like, testing wait to count to 10. And we'd all, you know, be around the table, singing and eating and like joking. But yes, we definitely did eat.”

3. She is Introspective

Filming the show: “It really was an intense month and a half….And even down to like the second that I started filming up until now, it's still changing my life. Of course when we were in there, we were doing workshops and personally I was struggling with the dynamic of building a relationship with myself and someone else. And then also balancing that with building a relationship with the group as a collective. And that was a complex thing for me for a while. It took me a while to really get the hang of it. But that's the whole essence of the show is just getting to know yourself on a deeper level and really challenging certain aspects and departments of yourselves that really need attention.”

4. She Likes it Out on the Water

Holly has shared an image of herself on a paddleboard in a river. “Can’t fake a smile it’s hard to wear,” she captioned it. Water-based exercises can be great for you. “Swimming can improve mood in both men and women. For people with fibromyalgia, swimming can decrease anxiety, and exercise therapy in warm water can decrease depression and improve mood. Water-based exercise can improve the health of pregnant people and has a positive effect on the pregnant person’s mental health. Parents of children with developmental disabilities find that recreational activities, such as swimming, improve family connections,” says the CDC.

Meghann Fahy’s top tip? Hydration. “I down a massive Yeti water bottle, pre-coffee. Hydrating myself is key. I drink so much more water than I even care to drink because I think that it really really helps me get through those 14-, 15-, 16-hour days that we pull sometimes. It helps mentally and physically, and it’s great for my skin,” she told Women’s Health. “On days I can sleep till 7:00, I go to Orangetheory or run. I live in [Brooklyn], so I run by the water a lot,”

2. Simona Tabasco Loves Outdoor Exercise

True to her last name, Simona Tabasco likes to keep things spicy and even has a [chili-pepper tattoo on her forearm]. “Yes! I love it,” she told Vulture about being named after hot sauce. “I love that it’s in my name and part of me. But specifically, it reflects my personality — or at least half of it. There’s a side to me that’s quite quirky and spicy.” She also enjoys outdoor exercise. Two of her favorite forms of fitness? Swimming and hiking.

Nicole eats herself skinny. "For breakfast I love eggs and toast and smoked salmon or bacon, or porridge. For lunch I like maybe some soup or some sushi. Speegle makes sure to recover. One thing she likes to do is cold plunges. Speegle shared this video of herself jumping into a tub. According to The Mayo Clinic, these have a lot of benefits. “Research on cold-water immersion has found evidence that it helps reduce the degree of exercise-induced muscle damage that can occur after physically challenging activities. Last year, Malik gave fans a look at her workout routine in an Instagram video, where she powered through hanging crunches, lunges, and weightlifting sessions. She captioned the post, “Got some major work to do before my next session,” proving that even elite athletes are always striving to improve. She Lifts Weights

Plus, you don’t need any fancy equipment to do a pull-up. Tree branches, scaffolding, and even door frames are all places people can do pull-ups.”

Golf is obviously one of the ways that Malik keeps herself in shape. Better Health says that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.”
