Be Determined
Ileana has a strong workout ethic. In a recent Instagram story she pointed out that exercising is never easy. "Doesn't get easier, you just get stronger," she wrote alongside a post-sweat session snap. "For most people, a single set of 12 to 15 repetitions with the proper weight can build strength and improve fitness as effectively as can multiple sets of the same exercise. The important point is to exercise your muscles to fatigue — meaning that you can't lift any more with that muscle group. When you do this, you stimulate factors in the muscle that contribute to improved muscle strength and growth. And one set performed to muscle fatigue provides you with almost all the same benefits as a multiset program," says the Mayo Clinic.
Don't Overdo It
Ileana doesn't go overboard when it comes to exercise. "There was a point when I was working out three hours a day, I was on the strictest diet possible and I still wasn't happy with my weight, which by the way, was 50 kilos. It's bizarre how I was obsessing about my body and how starved I was," she told iDiva."The kind of fitness routine I was on previously, I used to be miserable."
Do Water Workouts
Ileana is a water bay. She loves burning calories in the ocean, by swimming, snorkeling, and also paddleboarding. "Me running away from my responsibilities 🤓 #byeeee," she captioned a recent video.
Celebrate Your Curves
Ileana loves showing off her curves via her Instagram feed. "I have flab and I am not ashamed of it," she told iDiva. "I don't care if people look at me and think I've put on weight. I am happy because I am healthy and I am eating right. The problem is that people have the wrong notion of fitness and think being fit means being skinny but that's just so wrong."
Eat What You Want By Exercisings
Ileana works out so she can eat what she likes. "Now I eat what I want to and be happy about it, then workout towards losing the calories. I figured what's the point if I can't enjoy myself," she told iDiva.
Cheat Meals Are Key
Ileana eats what she wants in moderation, including one piece of chocolate every night. She also likes to cook and bake. "Thankfully I don't eat it all, I try and feed other people, and I make sure to combine my intake with healthy food and go for a run regularly, " she told iDiva.
Eat Right for Your Blood Type
Ileana likes the Blood Group diet, which involves lots of rice, meat, and chicken. She also avoids wheat and milk and bakes gluten-free bread. "But it's tough when I've got to travel because there's so much good food to try out," she told iDiva.
Prioritize Self-Care
"Take care of yourself. Take care of what you choose to put into your system. The body you have is uniquely beautiful so nourish it – physically as well as mentally. Lastly dress up, show up, not for anyone else. Just do it for you. It's so worth it. Trust me," Ileana wrote on Instagram.
