Battle Your Body Image Demons

Ireland has been very open about her struggles with body image issues and the treatment she received for anorexia and bulimia. "Got a call from my old program yesterday… 6 years 🎉," she said in a 2020 video on Instagram. "Wanted to announce that today is the 15th of August, and today marks six years that I have been free of anorexia and bulimia and all of my other food compulsion and eating disorders that I have struggled through for many years," she said. "And today marks six years. So, you can do it."

Ireland regularly exercises for both the physical and mental health benefits. She does cardio and weight training and also loves boxing, regularly sharing her workouts on social media. "When part of an overall heart-healthy lifestyle, not only can regular cardio exercise lead to an increase in your resting blood pressure and heart rate, but these basic changes can also mean your heart doesn't have to work unnecessarily hard all of the time, says clinical exercise physiologist Erik Van Iterson, PhD, MS.," says the Cleveland Clinic.

Develop Healthy Habits

Ireland encourages developing healthy habits and staying away from toxins. In one Instagram post, she breathed a messaged of self-love. "yoooo!!! love your body. respect your body," she said, discouraging people from wasting money on juul pods and instead, spending it on vitamins and veggies. "get your titties checked. get active. get vitamin d. breathe fresh air. be happy. laugh it all off. spend your remaining time on this earth with people who love you and make you feel good and if you don't have many of those people, get out and go look for them. some of y'all are taking this whole life thing so damn seriously… and it's so not worth it," she captioned it.

Don't Listen to Trolls

Ireland has experienced her fair share of body shaming over the years. "I saw what people were saying about me, that of course I was modeling because I was so-and-so's daughter. 'She's fat, she's disgusting.' I would get so down on myself," she told Megyn Kelly on TODAY. So, she made a decision, "today, I am going to stop reading these comments and stop caring. I stopped altogether looking at articles and paparazzi photos. I used to be crazy about my double chin, or the bad angle of my butt. I'm not even going to look anymore. I owe it to myself."

Just Say No to Diets

Ireland avoids extreme diets. "I don't eat well at all. I go through so many phases. I'm eating more vegan one month, or vegetarian, or I have a burger again. I'm such a foodie. I hate missing out. I hate salad beyond anything in the world. I love my wine. I need to eat fun food," she told Today.
