Ivanka Trump in Bathing Suit is "Soaking up the Summer Solstice"

Here’s how she stays so fit.

Ivanka Trump celebrated the first day of summer and the longest day of the year – in her swimsuit. The former First Daughter shows off her incredibly fit figure in a bathing suit in one of her latest social media posts. "Soaking up the Summer Solstice," she captioned the Instagram snap with her 7.5 million followers. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Ivanka Trump stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1

She Commits to a Healthy Diet

Ivanka told Eat This, Not That! that prior to getting pregnant, she "ate like a teenager…carbs three times a day usually in the form of pasta or pizza." However, she managed to boost her metabolism by making healthy choices and eating whole foods.

She Doesn't Do Juice Cleanses

You won't find Ivanka on a juice diet. "I tried a juice cleanse, and it was a total disaster," she told ETNT. "For the eight hours that I lasted, I felt like I was on the brink of starvation. For me, it's about making the right choices." However, you will find her sipping on a large glass of water with lemon and a big cup of coffee – both at breakfast – she told My Morning Routine

She Consumes Lots of Protein and Not Many Carbs

Ivanka also told ETNT that she focuses on a protein rich diet. Her favorite? Salmon. However, she tries to limit her carb intake and stays away from anything processed.

She Works Out

Ivanka also prioritizes exercise. "When I'm in town, I like to work out at the gym in my building. My trainer, Peter Monge, put together a workout program for me — he also put together a similar program exclusively for my readers that I do with him once a week. The other days, I go through it on my own and in the hotel gym when I travel," she told My Morning Routine. She also likes SoulCycle and takes hikes, rides horses, and wake boards.

She Meditates

Ivanka wakes up at 5:30 am to meditate. "Meditation is one of the most important things I do each day," she told My Morning Routine. "I meditate for twenty minutes, ideally twice daily. Sometimes I miss the afternoon session, but I always make the morning one. It's been invaluable in terms of calming my mind and allowing me to think more clearly. I recently treated my team to an intensive transcendental meditation course. It's proven to increase productivity at work and cut down on stress (doesn't that sound awesome!?)."

She Makes Oatmeal and Greek Yogurt Fun

Ivanka makes breakfast fun with healthy toppings. "To avoid making a big decision out of breakfast, I always give the kids one of two choices: either Greek yogurt and berries or 'fancy oatmeal.' If they choose oatmeal, I get out all sorts of toppings — chia seeds, berries, flaxseed, goji berries, cinnamon, walnuts, and almonds — and the kids get to 'decorate' their oatmeal," she told My Morning Routine.

She Surfs

In Ivanka's latest swimsuit snaps, she shows off her surfboard. According to the Australian government's Better Health, surfing provides many health benefits including cardiovascular fitness from paddling, shoulder and back strength, which also strengthens from the paddling, and leg and core strength. "Once you're standing up on the board, strong legs and a strong core will keep you up," they say.
