Janette Manrara first made waves as a contestant on the fifth season of So You Think You Can Dance, where she finished in the top 8. She then became a background dancer on the hit series, Glee. Manrara then spent six seasons as a professional on Strictly Come Dancing, and hosted the show’s spinoff It Takes Two. Manrara and her husband, fellow Strictly pro Aljaz Skorjanic, are expecting their first child. The couple are enjoying time at the UK’s Disney Parks, and recently hit the beach. Manrara shared a new set of photos from the day on Instagram, captioning it, “Baby bump on holiday.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Janette Manrara stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Works With A Trainer

Manrara opened up about her diet and workout secrets in an interview with Women’s Fitness. She says that she uses a personal trainer to help her stay in shape. “Obviously, I am not dancing or training like I did for Strictly, but I still keep on top of my fitness. I am definitely not a gym bunny, but I love spending time with my personal trainer, who I try to see three times a week, and she helps me focus on weight training – not the sort that will make you big and buff, but more about muscle strengthening.”

2. She Gets Massages

Manrara makes sure that she recovers from her workouts. She says to Women’s Fitness that one thing she likes to do is get massages. “I love to have a professional massage when I have the time,” she says. “But at home, I have a best friend in my massage gun – it really helps with my muscles and helps iron out any tension I have.”

3. She Believes In Balance

Manrara tells Women’s Fitness that she believes in a balanced diet. “I’m not one of those people who cuts out carbs or sweets,” she says. “For me, it’s all about balance. If I fancy pancakes for breakfast, I’ll have them and then I’ll be careful about what I eat for the rest of the day, or I’ll be good for a few days and eat healthily, and then have a treat or two. In fact, my favourite thing ever when I get spare time is to stay home with my husband, watch Netflix and get a take-away.”

4. She’s All About Self-Care

Manrara is all about self-care. She revealed some of her favorite things to do to Women’s Fitness. “I love to meditate and I am a huge fan of stretching. I know that sounds really boring but, when it comes to elongating my muscles after working out, be it running or dancing, I feel an inner sense of peace and calm. I am also a huge fan of cold showers. During my morning routine, I try to stand under the shower for a minute or two as it totally wakes me up and refreshes me for the day.”

5. She Works Out At Home

Manrara has a busy schedule, however, she makes time to workout. She tells The Independent that she likes to do at home workouts. “I like to be at home and just do 25 minutes of body exercises, just here with my yoga mat, as much as I can. That’s helped me maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep an eye on my weight, because I did feel the difference, in my muscles especially, when I stopped Strictly.”

Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara took a break from her hectic schedule to have some vacation time in Mykonos, Greece. The Cuban-American dancer wore a variety of bathing suits over the trip, which she showcased on Instagram. “Well that was fun! Photo dump of Mykonos w/ my sis @iamashleyroberts and some of our faves 🇬🇷Until next year ☀️,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? 1. She Loves Bananas

Manrara is obsessed with bananas and eats them with everything—including pasta! "I know it sounds weird but I kind of have a banana with everything," she tells HELLO. "One of my favorite things in the world, and you're all going to be shocked, is to have a banana with spaghetti. I love bananas with chicken and rice. It's just a Cuban side dish that's normally made with fried plantain, but as a kid growing up, if we didn't have the fried plantains my mum would just give me a banana."

2. She Loves Cool Ranch Doritos

The TRIC Awards 2021 - Red Carpet ArrivalsMike Marsland/WireImage

Doritos, specifically the Cool Ranch flavor, are Manrara’s favorite snack food. While Doritos could never be mistaken for any sort of healthy snack, it’s clearly a “treat” and not something she eats all the time (although they are lab-designed to be over-eaten). “Doritos started as a genius idea from the VP of sales and marketing at Frito-Lay named Arch West,” says Mark Schatzker, author of The Dorito Effect. “He wanted to unleash tortilla chips on the market. The very first Doritos were just salted tortilla chips — and they failed. So he came up with an idea to make them taste like taco. Up to that point, only tacos tasted like tacos and tortilla chips tasted like corn. Thanks to the invention of the gas chromatograph, flavor scientists could finally figure out what flavor compounds were in tacos and then put those chemicals on tortilla chips."

3. She Dances—Obviously!

Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour - BackstageDave J Hogan/Getty Images

Manrara is a dancer, and incorporates dance into her workouts—and into her social media posts. "Dancing can give you more than traditional cardio," Fabio Comana, an exercise physiologist and education team member for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, told HuffPost. "If exercise is not an enjoyable experience, we're not going to do it. People think, 'I'm not exercising, I'm dancing'. But at the end of the day, you're moving and you're burning calories. It's just as good as a cardio class."

4. She Cleans Her Face Religiously

"Black Widow" UK Film Premiere - ArrivalsMike Marsland/WireImage

Manrara never goes to bed without thoroughly washing her face—no matter how tired she is. “I use Neutrogena Facial Wash every night before I go to bed,” she tells Express. I wear so much make-up for Strictly and this helps keep my skin clear. I moisturize afterwards, using Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm or ESPA Overnight Hydration Therapy. It’s so crucial that you go to bed with absolutely no make-up on – it’s easy to come home tired and just lay down and sleep, but it’s the worst thing you can do for your face.”

5. She Stretches Every Day

The British Soap Awards 2022 - ArrivalsKarwai Tang/WireImage

Manrara stretches every day. “When I’m on Strictly, I don’t do much because we are training,” she says. “When I’m not, I will go on the treadmill two or three times a week just for 25 minutes, then I might do some body sculpting. For dancing I need to have long lean muscles, so I do lots of stretching too.” Stretching is important for preventing injuries, experts say. "A lot of people don't understand that stretching has to happen on a regular basis. It should be daily," says David Nolan, a physical therapist at Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital. "The areas critical for mobility are in your lower extremities: your calves, your hamstrings, your hip flexors in the pelvis and quadriceps in the front of the thigh."

6. She Avoids Dairy

Healthy,Breakfast.,Fresh,Granola,,Muesli,With,Yogurt,And,Berries,CerealShutterstock

Manrara loves alternative milk, and avoids real dairy. “I love cereal but I don’t drink cows’ milk,” she says. “I drink this dairy-free product called Mylk from Rebel Kitchen and it tastes like whole milk – it’s amazing. I also love a banana with peanut butter if I really need a lot of energy for the day, and of course a huge cup of coffee.”

1. She Doesn’t Follow Fad Diets but Believes in “More of a Balance”

"I actually kind of struggled when I first started chartering with Americans, because Americans have a lot of those fad diets and things like that," Hannah told Bravo. "It was so funny: I remember my first season, it was like, 'Oh, can we get a craft cocktail?' I’m like, 'Yeah, sure.' Then I walk around, and I'm like, 'What … is a craft cocktail? Because in Europe, we just don’t have those sorts of things — all those buzzy diets. It's more of a balance."

2. She Has a Personal Trainer

Bravo's "Below Deck" PremiereSteve Zak Photography/FilmMagic

"I would love to have a consistent routine but it’s so hard when you travel as much as I do," Hannah told Bravo. "I have a personal trainer who I work with in Sydney, and then try to always have a hotel with a gym. My secret is to have no regime! If I’m jet lagged at 3 a.m., I work out then!"

3. She Walks Along the Water

“Even after all these years, water still calms me!” she told Us. “You can also alternate periods of brisk walking with leisurely walking. This type of interval training has many benefits, such as improving cardiovascular fitness and burning more calories than regular walking. And interval training can be done in less time than regular walking,” says the Mayo Clinic.

4. She Wears Athleisure Wear

"The reason I started wearing active wear outside the gym was because I travel so much," she told us. "It’s so comfy to wear on long-haul flights and removes the need to get changed on the plane!"

5. She Uses All-Natural Beauty Products

“The best way to know what's in your products is by reading the list of ingredients,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Ingredients to avoid include:

  • Butylated hydroxyanisole or butylated hydroxytoluene, or BHA or BHT, respectively

These preservatives are found in lipsticks, moisturizes and some food items.

  • Coal tar dyes

They are used as a colorant in hair dye and often labeled as "p-Phenylenediamine" or "CI" followed by a five-digit number.

  • Diethanolamine, or DEA

This is used to make products sudsy. It can be found in cleansers, soaps and shampoos.

  • Dibutyl phthalate, or DBP

This is a plasticizer found in nail polish.”

The sun's rays provide ultraviolet B (UVB) energy, and the skin uses it to start making vitamin D. (The skin actually produces a precursor that is converted into the active form of the vitamin by the liver and kidneys.) Vitamin D is best known for its vital role in bone health. Without this "sunshine vitamin," the body can't absorb the calcium it ingests, so it steals calcium from bones, increasing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. Vitamin D also helps maintain normal blood levels of phosphorus, another bone-building mineral," says Harvard Health.

"The healing benefits of being in nature have been expressed by many different cultures, poets, and healers throughout the ages. Research confirms the amazing healing effects of nature on our emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. Even viewing images of nature scenes has benefits," says the Mayo Clinic. So, how does she stay in such incredible shape? From strength training to boxing, here’s a look at her go-to fitness moves.

She Strength Trains

In her Instagram post, Sharvari is seen doing a strength training exercise. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Does Yoga

Sharvari shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is yoga. Sharvari posted this video of herself doing poses on her page. John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga is very beneficial. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

She Plays Padel

Sharvari likes to play padel to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself on the court. Playing padel has a lot of health benefits. Everybody Health & Leisure says, “It improves cardiovascular fitness, helps to build strength and endurance, enhances coordination and promotes overall physical and mental well-being. Not to mention, it’s a fantastic way to burn calories.”

She Boxes

Another thing that Sharvari does to keep herself in shape is box. She first picked this up when training for the film, Vedaa. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself punching a bag. She captioned the post, “Decided to seas the day!” Better Health says that running is very beneficial. “Regular running or jogging offers many health benefits. Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Kim French in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Real Results" Workout

Learn how she sculpts her powerhouse physique with deadlifts, lunges, squats, and more.

Kim French is more than just a personal trainer—she’s a fitness coach who empowers thousands through her Believe App and Instagram workouts. Known for her structured, effective home training plans, she proves that you don’t need a gym full of heavy weights to build serious strength.

In a recent Instagram post, French shared a glimpse of her at-home training, reminding followers that smart training delivers "REAL results." Rocking a sleek two-piece workout set, she showcased some of her go-to exercises, emphasizing that with the right strategy, anyone can see progress.

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture.”

She Does Hamstring Curls

French is seen doing hamstring curls in her Instagram post. According to The Mayo Clinic, hamstring curls are very beneficial. “The seated hamstring curl is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscles in the back of the thigh. As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
