Jasmine Harman is giving herself the chills! The A Place in the Sun star tried out a new self-care practice this week – in her swimsuit. “Cold water therapy anyone…? I thought I’d give it a try! 🥶 To be fair it was not as cold as an ice bath, but still pretty cold! Would you brave it?” she captioned the Instagram Reel of her experience. How does the 46-year-old stay fit? Read on to see 7 ways Jasmine Harman stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Is a Devoted Vegan

Jasmine swears that her meat-free lifestyle is responsible for her health, claiming it gives her a major energy boost. “I lost all my baby weight much sooner after my second pregnancy (as a vegan). I was back in my jeans after two to three weeks!” she told Your Healthy Living. “My skin is much more naturally glowing and youthful. My digestion is infinitely better and I feel like my body is able to much more effectively process and utilise the nutrients in my food. It’s difficult to describe, but I feel cleaner on the inside, as if my arteries have been cleansed. My conscience is clear, the benefits of which cannot even be quantified they are so great, and I live peacefully knowing that I’m doing as little harm as possible to myself, the planet and the animals.”

2. She Lost 20 Pounds By Making a Few Small Changes

In 2019, Jasmine majorly slimmed down by making a few lifestyle changes. "Can you spot the difference? One was in August, and one is now! I've lost over 20lbs since I began exercising again 5 months ago, along with eating more whole #vegan foods and less junk, smaller portions, less alcohol, fewer snacks like crisps and biscuits, and definitely a lot less bread," she captioned this before-and-after on Instagram.

3. She Sets Goals

Goal setting is a big part of Jasmine’s stay-fit success. "I feel great and I'm sticking with it, slowly but surely getting to my goal. A lot of people have said I've lost too much weight and I’ve lost my curves... well hopefully now you’ll see that is not true! Both photos are un-retouched! I'm hoping this will motivate those looking for a long term lifestyle change! And thanks so much to all those who have inspired me!" she continued in the Instagram post.

4. This Is What She Eats in a Day

Savory,Toasts,For,Breakfast,With,Butter,,Avocado,Slices,And,HealthyShutterstock

Jasmine detailed her daily diet to Your Healthy Living. “Breakfast will either be marmite and avocado on granary toast with tomatoes, or porridge with seeds and raisins made with cashew milk. Lunch might be soup – I’m especially partial to spicy lentil soup – or a wrap with salad, falafels, sun dried tomatoes etc. Dinner cooked at home could be a veggie curry and rice, chilli sin carne, my famous mushroom risotto, sausages and mash, spaghetti bolognese etc. Something different every day,” she said.

5. She Cooks Her Own Meals

Jasmine prefers preparing her own meals. “I love cooking when I’m at home,” she told Your Healthy Living. “I really enjoy veganising classic dishes like some of those mentioned above. We enjoy our food at home and like hearty meals that leave you feeling satisfied but not stuffed. We eat lots and lots of vegetables, so vegan fajitas with homemade salsa, guacamole and vegan soured cream always goes down well, or for real comfort food, my vegan shepherd’s pie is a hit every time.”

6. She Exercises

Jasmine also tries to exercise as much as possible. “I’m only just getting back into exercise after some time off, and I have to say I still hate the gym as much as I always have. I find it really hard to motivate myself and so I find group exercise, such as classes, much more fun and easy to motivate myself,” she told Your Healthy Living. “I used to be a fitness instructor, so working out was my job. So for me there is nothing better than a really great challenging group exercise class like aerobics, dance, body pump, Pilates or body combat. I have joined the David Lloyd Club in Purley, near to where I live, and luckily there are so many fantastic classes to choose from. I’ve already lost 8lbs.”

7. She Is All About Self-Love

“My top tip for healthy living would be to love yourself,” Jasmine told Your Healthy Living. “We all go through times when we are motivated to eat healthily and exercise, then go through other times when we have different priorities in life. Stressing over being healthy will not make you healthy. I would also recommend mindful eating. Ask yourself whether you are really hungry or maybe just thirsty? Savour each bite and eat food that will satisfy your cravings, not just momentarily.”

Jasmine Harman is best known for her work on the series A Place In The Sun. And she’s currently in a place in the sun, according to a recent Instagram post. Harman shared a new selfie from the Canary Islands of Spain. In it, she wore a red swimsuit, looking gorgeous. She captioned the post, “Perks of the job. Post work dip last week in Fuerteventura. Don’t hate me.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Jasmine Harman stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Meditates

Harman opened up about her wellness during the lockdowns to YourHealthyLiving.co. She says that she likes to practice meditation. “I have a couple of meditation apps on my phone that I’ve found to be so beneficial. When we went into the first lockdown and the kids were home all the time I felt like I was busier than ever and it was quite stressful. It was a bit overwhelming just not being able to do simple things like take the kids to the park. So, listening to meditation really helped me to switch my brain off and just stop for a minute. It also really helped with my sleep.”

2. She’s Vegan

Harman is open about being vegan. She opened up about her decision to YourHealthyLiving.co. “I first thought about going vegan when I became a mum. I was vegetarian anyway and I had toyed with the idea of going vegan, but I didn’t ever think that I could live without cheese. Then, when I began to do some research into the dairy industry, what I found out was horrific. Cows are forced to become pregnant after artificial insemination and their babies are taken away from them shortly after birth. The babies are eaten or used as dairy cows themselves. And after four or five years, dairy cows don’t produce as much milk so are sent off to become cheap meat. I realised there was no way that I could live with myself if I continued to consume dairy. So I signed up for the first ever Veganuary challenge in 2014 as a participant and I haven’t looked back since.”

3. She Loves Fitness Classes

UK Special Screening Of "DC League Of Super Pets"Jeff Spicer/Getty Images

Harman likes to go to classes to keep herself in shape. She tells YourHealthyLiving.co, “I used to be a fitness instructor and so I’ve always loved exercise classes. I really enjoy things like dance, step, boxercise and body combat. But since lockdown happened I’ve struggled to get motivated. I really like the social aspect of doing group exercise classes, and I love having a routine to learn as that gives your brain a workout too. I can’t wait till I can get back and do my classes again.”

4. She Swims

Harman spends a lot of time in the water. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself swimming. She shared this video of herself running into the ocean, captioning it, “Thanks to a brilliant team this week! What a lot of emotions, culminating in a fantastic result!! Bravo. Time to celebrate with a dip in the sea!” Harman also posted this set of photos of herself in the pool. She captioned that, “Lovely post work dip in the pool with the munchkins! ‘I could get used to this!’ What is your favourite A Place in the Sun catchphrase?”

5. She’s All About Self Love

Harman is a big believer in self-love. She tells YourHealthyLiving.co, “My top tip for healthy living would be to love yourself. We all go through times when we are motivated to eat healthily and exercise, then go through other times when we have different priorities in life. Stressing over being healthy will not make you healthy.”

Nicole Scherzinger seems fearless. So it was no surprise to see her sitting, Zen-like, in freezing cold water, in an outdoor tub from Cold Plunge. “3°C 39°F, 6 minute cold plunge. You have to breath through to break through,” she captioned it, adding a fist emoji. “Let’s get it. @the.coldplunge #manamonday.” The song “Who I Am” by LATASHÁ played with the video. Read on to see 7 ways Nicole Scherzinger stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Takes a Cold Plunge

“Cold water immersion is an ancient practice that has roots in many different cultures, particularly those in high latitudes. Scandinavians have long lauded the post-sauna cold dip as a way to rinse off toxins, jump-start blood flow, and release endorphins. Even Hippocrates and Thomas Jefferson avowed the benefits of soaking in cold water,” reports Discover Magazine. “Swimming or submerging in cold water has gained popularity with the mainstream as a way to boost immune systems, build resilience to stress, and treat inflammation — especially during the pandemic as people search for simple, close-to-home ways to improve their wellbeing.”

2. She Does Yoga

Premiere Of FOX's "The Masked Singer" Season 2 - ArrivalsAlberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images

“Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga,” says Johns Hopkins. “Try Downward Dog Pose: Get on all fours, then tuck your toes under and bring your sitting bones up, so that you make a triangle shape. Keep a slight bend in your knees, while lengthening your spine and tailbone.”

3. She Drinks Cold-Pressed Green Juice

FOX Summer TCA 2019 All-Star Party - ArrivalsGregg DeGuire/FilmMagic

A green juice can be a refreshing way to start the day, as can a green smoothie. Add some flaxseeds. “High in omega-3 fats, flaxseeds are an indispensable source of plant-based fatty acids necessary for those who are vegetarian or don't particularly enjoy eating fish. They also contain very high levels of lignans, which are plant-based compounds showing amazing health benefits in cancer prevention and hormone balance,” says our sister site Eat This, Not That!

4. She Drinks Tea

Nicole has Japanese tea, served hot, for her breakfast. “Whether you drink black, oolong or green tea, they’re all produced from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis bush. Tea leaves from C. sinensis are loaded with flavonoids and other polyphenols, which work as antioxidants,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Some evidence suggests drinking black tea may lower the risk of heart attack and atherosclerosis and reduce kidney stone risk in women. Drinking green or black tea may reduce the risk of developing several cancers, including bladder, esophageal and pancreatic cancers. Drinking black, oolong or green tea appears to lower the risk of ovarian cancer.”

5. She Runs

“When you start out on your run, your body goes through a transition: Your breathing may become heavy, and you might notice your pulse quicken as the heart pumps harder to move oxygenated blood to your muscles and brain,” says Johns Hopkins. “As you hit your stride, your body releases hormones called endorphins. Popular culture identifies these as the chemicals behind ‘runner’s high,’ a short-lasting, deeply euphoric state following intense exercise. Surveys have revealed runner’s high to be rather rare, however, with a majority of athletes never experiencing it.”

6. She Doesn’t Deprive Herself

“I don’t deprive myself of anything,” Nicole has said, according to People. “I have everything in moderation.” One catch though: “When I’m really watching my weight, I refrain from eating late at night,” she says.

7. She Loves the Beach

Nicole shares photos from the beach quite a bit, including just last week. “Mentally I’m here. Physically I’m at home, cleaning my oven,” she captioned the recent Instagram post.

1. This is How She Treats Herself

“Right now, I feel like I don't have much time to treat myself because, in between working full-time, taking care of Tuulikki, and being in the middle of a renovation, there's just no time left for myself. Still, I know that self-care is so important to be my best self. I love having Emma, my acupuncturist, come over, set up in the garden, and do a long 90-min session. Acupuncture is something that deeply relaxes me, and I feel the results for a while after, too. I feel so different after a session; my body feels no pains or aches, and it's just fluid and balanced,” she tells the Zoe Report.

2. This is the First Thing She Does When She Wakes Up

“Feed my baby. I do that half asleep because she wakes up at 6 a.m. I always feared having to get up early, but it's been surprisingly easy. I never used to be a morning person, but it's crazy how you automatically adapt once you have a baby who depends on you,” she told the Zoe Report.

3. This is Her Favorite Drink

REVOLVE x The h.wood Group Present REVOLVE FESTIVAL - Day 1Presley Ann/Getty Images

“I’m just a sucker for a good lemonade!” she told W. “Try simply tossing an orange or a few small clementines into your bag for an on-the-go snack that doesn't require refrigeration. Grapefruit also makes a great addition to a leafy green salad, or try broiling a halved grapefruit with a sprinkle of brown sugar or drizzle of honey. Lemons and limes aren't often eaten whole, but they provide great flavor in fish, salad dressings, desserts and beverages,” says the Mayo Clinic.

4. She Likes Baths

“I prefer audiobooks in the tub so I can have my eyes closed in the dark with some candles lit,” she told W. “Taking a warm water bath can increase blood flow and it can also reduce pain and inflammation,” says the Cleveland Clinic. Also: “A recent study shows that cold water immersion like an ice water bath and contrast water therapy (a series of brief immersions in warm and cold temperatures) can improve the short-term feeling of relaxation in athletes, which can after their performance and well-being.”

5. She Protects Her Skin

"Elvis" Red Carpet - The 75th Annual Cannes Film FestivalSamir Hussein/WireImage

“Lying the sun is not good for you,” she says. Apply that SPF before going out. “Any exposed part of your body — including your earlobes, scalp and lips — can burn. Even covered areas can burn if, for example, your clothing has a loose weave that allows ultraviolet (UV) light through. Your eyes, which are extremely sensitive to the sun's UV light, also can burn,” says the Mayo Clinic.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

She’s Consistent

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! News that she made sure to be consistent with her wellness in order to prepare. “Really trying to dial in [on] what I eat, how I workout, the workouts that I do. Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

She Keeps Her Skin Healthy While Traveling

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. They are a go-to snack for me. I would say Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and some almonds would be perfect! Also, electrolytes to stay hydrated or some sort of collagen beauty powder or something."

Abigail Ratchford’s amazing body has helped her become one of the most famous models on the internet. The 32-year-old, who boasts over 9.1 million followers on Instagram alone, attributes her measurement-defying body to a few simple habits. Here is everything she does to stay fit at 32.

She Follows 4 Diet Rules

Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

She UsesMyFitnessPal

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Balanced Diet

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Strength Training

Ratchford also lifts weights. “Initially, I made the mistake that a lot of girls do and I was only doing cardio. I just really didn’t see too much change in my body. I’ve been listening to my girlfriends who are in great shape and they say you have to do weight training, you have to go in and do squats. That’s my new thing—I’ve been doing some resistance training, circuit training,” she told Men’s Fitness. The Mayo Clinic explains that strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

Develop strong bones

Manage your weight

Enhance your quality of life

Manage chronic conditions

Sharpen your thinking skills
