1. She Hits The Beach

Sims lives in Jupiter, Florida, and she loves to hit the beach. Sims posts a lot of beach photos, from the Bahamas, to Las Vegas. Sims gets a lot of vitamin D from her constant beach trips. “Vitamin D is a nutrient your body needs for building and maintaining healthy bones. That's because your body can only absorb calcium, the primary component of bone, when vitamin D is present. Vitamin D also regulates many other cellular functions in your body. Its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and neuroprotective properties support immune health, muscle function and brain cell activity,” says the Mayo Clinic.

2. She’s Charitable

Sims is very charitable, and even founded her own non-profit, Pageant of Hope. She tells Jupiter Magazine that the charity is designed to teach self-confidence, and was inspired by her time as a pageant titleholder. “I was in many, many pageants before becoming Miss Georgia Teen,” she says. “I remember what it felt like to finally win, and I wanted to pass that feeling along.”

3. She Loves To Go Dancing With Friends

Sims tells Jupiter Magazine that she loves to do activities with her friends, one of which is dancing. “There are many forms of dance, from ballroom to barn dancing and disco to Morris dancing. Dance has always been a part of human culture, rituals and celebrations. Today, most dancing is about recreation and self-expression, although it can also be done as a competitive activity. Dancing is an enjoyable way to be more physically active and stay fit,” says Sports Medicine Australia.

4. She Likes Golf

Sims’ fiance is a champion golfer, and she’s also developed a love for the sport. Sims has posted photos on Instagram of herself on the course. “Golf stretches can help prepare you for a day on the course. These golf stretches may help promote a fluid, full golf swing, which can improve your performance,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Before you start your golf stretches, you may want to warm up with five to 10 minutes of light activity, such as walking around the practice tee. If you have time, complete the full series of golf stretches outlined here. Hold each stretch for about 30 seconds. Studies have found performing an individual stretch one time is beneficial, and repeating an individual stretch generally isn't necessary. Do one set of golf stretches every day and another set before and after each round of golf.”

5. She Enjoys A Slower Pace

Sims moved from Los Angeles to Jupiter, Florida with her fiance, and she says that the slower lifestyle is a lot better for her. “I like the slower pace, especially after living in L.A. for almost nine years,” she says to Jupiter Magazine. “It feels like a vacation here.”
