Jenna Dewan is an actress, whose credits include Step Up, The Rookie, Witches of East End, and Supergirl. She's a TV host, who previously presented World of Dance and Flirty Dancing. And she's an author, with her book Gracefully You coming out in fall 2019. Dewan and her family are looking forward to the warm weather, and she just shared a new set of photos on Instagram of them doing outdoor activities. She captioned the post, "Countdown to summer." She Protects Herself

Dewan makes sure to protect herself from getting sick, especially if it's the flu.  "I really believe in doing everything I can to stay healthy for my family throughout flu season," she says to Shape. "So flu shots as well as vitamins and supplements are very important. Like every other working mom in the world, taking days off to be sick is really not helpful. I do everything I can to keep my immune system strong and to be there for my family."

She Makes Time For Herself

Dewan has a busy schedule, from work and her family life. However, she tells Shape that she always makes time for herself. "Rest is the hardest thing for me to come by, as I'm sure most people can relate," she says. "But I try to get as much as I can. Making time for myself within working, within family, within all of that is very, very important for me and not the easiest to do, but I make it a priority."

She Loves Probiotics

Dewan opened up about her diet in her interview with Shape. "I do this probiotic drink in the morning," she says. "And [my] digestion gets better, [my] bloating goes down… And the difference I feel in my energy and my skin and my mood while eating this way is all the proof I needed. I feel more balanced. I feel less sluggish. Food is medicine."

She Believes In Balance

Dewan makes sure to eat healthy. However, she also isn't afraid to give into her cravings. "I never deprive myself," Dewan tells Shape. "When I want to eat the nachos or French fries, I make sure I have the ability and space to do that. But I try to eat healthy most of the time."

She Does At-Home Skincare Treatments

Dewan shared some of her skincare secrets and tips with New Beauty. "I've been doing at-home self-care treatments with masks and different tools I have," she says. "Like microneedling and gua sha. My gua sha stone is from Georgia Louise—her rose quartz Butterfly Stone that she gave me. I also really like the brand OSEA. I use their hyaluronic serum, they have a great cleanser, and they have this incredible body oil that I've used every single day—it smells so good and it's all-natural."
