Jenna Dewan works hard for her physique—but sometimes that drive backfires, as she highlighted in a video posted on social media. Dewan, 43, is seen working out in black leggings and a white crop top (so far so good), jumping onto a block. Somehow, during the jump, the dancer managed to break not only a nail but her hand. “And she kept working out 😯 #tbt to one of my more painful moments of 2023,” she captioned the video. Dewan has been in the public eye for over 20 years—here’s what her workouts and diet look like now.

1. She Loves Weights

Dewan is a dancer, but these days she is heavily into weight lifting (no pun intended). “I'm into variety, so I like to switch it up because I get bored easily,” she tells PopSugar. “Lately, I started with a trainer, which for me is new because I had been just doing Pilates or dance-based workouts or yoga. The trainer's been great for me. He's full-on — we're deadlifting, we're squatting. But I give him 45 minutes and I'm like: this is the time I have, make it worth it. And it's really helped. At the moment, I'm preferring to sculpt and build muscle, so I'm definitely into weight lifting. But I still love my Pilates. I still love my Tracy Anderson. I love yoga, whenever I get to it. And then I have a bike at home, like a cycling bike that I'll do. If I just don't have time, that's kind of what I get into.”

2. 80/20 Diet

Fresh,Celery,Smoothie,JuiceShutterstock

Dewan’s diet is mostly plant-based. “I've always been 'healthy,' but the last couple years we've been kind of all over the place. So I'm back on a health kick at the moment,” she tells PopSugar. “I've been vegan before and I kind of went vegetarian while pregnant. But I really like [to get] as much vegetables and greens as possible, and then add in on top of that. I try to do an 80-20, 80 percent really good for you, and 20 percent to enjoy what I want to enjoy. But right now, I've been in this cleanse stage, so in the mornings I like a green juice — like a celery juice or green smoothie — and I'll have a cup of coffee.”

3. Crystals and Connections

Dewan’s spiritual life is very important to her. "I definitely believe in the unseen and connective energy that we all can tune into," she tells Shape. "I love the feeling that nothing is random and that there is something greater than you and a connected force to the whole universe… I loved crystals, and I learned more about the properties of each crystal and the Feng Shui of where to put them in the house, and it just became almost a hobby."

4. Rest and Meditation

Dewan has learned how important it is to carve time out for self-care. "Rest is the hardest thing for me to come by, as I'm sure most people can relate, but I try to get as much as I can," she tells Shape. "Making time for myself within working, within family, within all of that is very, very important for me and not the easiest to do, but I make it a priority." "I go in and out of being a really great meditator and someone who does it when they can, but even just one meditation a day or every other day — as much as I can to keep my stress levels down — is really good for me.”

5. Financial Planning Skills

Dewan partnered with Wells Fargo bank to help working mothers understand their finances better. "Planning for the future, managing your financial health and well-being, all of that's been valuable and something I've had to learn," she tells Forbes. "I have an overall simplistic goal with budgeting things. I ask myself, what is an immediate necessary financial need? What is my overall for the year? What are my goals, and where am I trying to go? I try to have a bit of a general idea and a general budgeting plan. Then, I am open to flowing with that and figuring that out. But I definitely think it's about looking at things in the big picture and then the immediate image."

Jenna Dewan is pregnant with baby number 3—and still working out consistently! Dewan, 43, shared a video of herself wearing black leggings and a matching tank top, doing low-impact exercises on a Pilates chair at home. “This and that 🤍,” she captioned the post, which included pictures of her with friends and family, plus cuddling with her sweet pup. “So protective, dogs are the best,” a fan commented. Here’s what Dewan’s fitness, diet, and wellness regimen looks like, and why she’s obsessed with Taylor Swift.

1. Glowing Green Smoothies

Dewan starts her day with a green smoothie packed with fruit and vegetables. "Every day, I wake up and make a Glowing Green smoothie, using nutritionist Kimberly Snyder's recipe," she told Well+Good. "I met Kimberly about seven years ago and have been making these green smoothies pretty much every day since. It's made with spinach, romaine, celery, apple, and pear, so it's loaded with really good fiber. Every once in a while, instead of the smoothie I'll have a sprouted grain cereal, adding raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries on top. It's really crunchy and satisfying."

2. She’s a Swiftie

Dewan had a night out at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which was a magical experience for the star. “That filled my tank so much,” she told Glamour. “I was jumping around, dancing and singing like I was at a sleepover and 10 years old. She put on a three-and-a-half hour incredible show. That's just part of her magic. There's incredible music, but also it's fun and joyous. It lifts your energy, and it's healing in itself.”

3. Baths With Essential Oils

Dewan loves taking a nice hot bath to wrap up her day. “I use all kinds of essential oils, Epsom salt, and some lighted candles,” she told Glamour. “The sage is going; it's a whole vibe for me at night in my baths. I love all my spiritual stuff, and I love meditating.”

4. Rice and Hummus For Dinner

Middle,Eastern,Or,Arabic,Dishes,And,Assorted,Meze,,Concrete,RusticShutterstock

Dewan loves cooking middle-eastern based dishes for a healthy and filling dinner. "I'm part-Lebanese and I also really like making kabuli [Afghani rice] and tabbouleh,” she told Well+Good. “I make tabbouleh with quinoa, parsley, mint, tomato, onion, olive oil, and lemon juice. I'll take warm pita bread and put tabbouleh, hummus, and tahini in there. I also love rice, so I do a lot of rice dishes, adding a lot of vegetables in them. That's a really good meal for me."

5. Pilates and Personal Trainer Sessions

Dewan switches up her workout routine depending on her work, but has a consistent routine for the most part. "My workout schedule varies depending on my schedule and if I'm preparing for a role, shoot, or something else coming up," she told Well+Good. "For the most part, I work out three or four times a week. My go-to workout is Pilates, which has really strengthened and toned my body in a way that makes me feel stronger than when I was dancing for ten hours a day. I also like cardio yoga. Sometimes, I work out with my trainer when I need to bulk up to get my muscles a little bigger. I get bored easily with workouts so I like to switch it up."

Jenna Dewan is giving her fans an intimate glimpse into her life! The actress and dancer shared images of her in a swimsuit in an infinity pool, overlooking the ocean. “Views and places that heal,” she captioned the image and a video. How does the world's biggest Janet Jackson fan (she started her career as a backup dancer) and star of The Rookie and Superman & Lois (she plays Lucy Lane) keep herself so fit? Read on to learn about 7 of Jenna Dewan’s top tips for staying in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Do Different Workouts

Jenna hasn’t relied on one type of workout to keep herself fit over the year. She recently explained to Women’s Health Australia that her approach to fitness has changed over the past few decades. Now that she is in her 40s, “the focus is muscle training with Pilates, plus hiking with friends,” she said. “I’ve turned my garage into a gym. I do a lot of workouts off the Mirror [an interactive smart gym with real-time feedback] and I have a Soul Cycle bike. I also do regular privates over Zoom with my Pilates instructor, Kim Carruthers. She’s a secret weapon and how I keep my muscles where they should be.”

2. Focus on the Mental Health Benefits of Exercise

The Hollywood Reporter 2021 Power 100 Women in Entertainment presented by Lifetime - InsideStefanie Keenan/Getty Images

Jenna is a big fan of the mental health benefits she gets from breaking a sweat. “Sometimes I’ll have gone a few days [without a workout] and I wonder, ‘Why do I feel a bit more anxious than normal?’ [Then I realize] ‘Oh wait, you haven’t moved your body,’” she explained to Women’s Health Australia. “I had two cesareans and that period of time where you’re not really walking well is difficult; my focus was on just surviving and taking care of my beautiful babies. But when I start to feel anxious, my first check-in with myself is, ‘When have you moved your body recently?’”

3. Take Care of Yourself

Self-care is a big priority for Jenna and maintains that it helps control her anxiety. “The things that help me are working out, moving, dancing, walking, getting fresh air or even taking 10 minutes to go in another room, to do anything, something just for yourself. I am also a huge fan of baths at night. That really helps me, locking everyone out of the bathroom for a bath all to myself with my oil and my salts and music to relax,” she said.

4. Follow the 80-20 Diet Rule

Jenna is all about healthy eating, most of the time at least. “I believe in eating 80/20,” she revealed to Us. “I do 80 percent as healthy as possible — vegetarian and vegan, as healthy as I can.” She consumes “lots of vegetables and lots of smoothies” but allows herself a little room to cheat. “And then 20 percent I’m eating Mexican food if I want it,” she said. “You know, I’ve gotta be able to indulge and have a glass of wine and feel good in that way, so that helps me not be so strict and so focused in one way.”

5. Start Your Day with Hot Water with Lemon

Lemon,Tea,Detox,In,A,Transparent,Cup,On,White,BackgroundShutterstock

Jenna is one of the many stars who drinks hot water and lemon in the morning and also has a few more healthy rituals she follows. “I love healthy living,” she said. “I’ve taken quite a lot of supplements, I make quite a lot of smoothies. I’m, like, really about trying to keep myself in balance and healthy as much as possible.”

6. Get in Short But Intense Workouts

"I love 45-minute power workouts," she told Women's Health. "I get in, do my thing, and then I'm able to go pick up Everly from school. It gives me energy."

7. Do Glute Work

"I work my literal ass off for my ass!" Jenna told Health about the hard work she puts in to keep her booty in shape. "That's the way it is. When you dance all the time, you're constantly using that muscle. When you stop dancing that much, that's the first thing that goes. So, we focus a lot on that because everyone likes a perky butt."

Jenna Dewan, the professional dancer and actress, began as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson, but has long been in in the forefront, currently on Come Dance With Me and The Rookie. It’s not surprising that the dancer prioritizes her health and wellness, making it easier to bust out moves when she feels like the best version of herself. 1. She Actually Enjoys Healthy Eating

Jenna genuinely enjoys how she feels when she eats vegan and clean. "I consider eating healthy a way of life because I feel better, plain and simple," she said. "I'm not a fan of dieting, which is why I choose to eat healthy most of the time. I keep it in balance, so I don't have to crash diet. When I want to splurge I allow myself and don't beat myself up—I just make a plan to eat extra healthy the next day or work out."

2. She Swears By Spirulina

Jenna finds ways to add greens into her diet as often as possible. She’ll opt for things like coriander and parsley or spirulina. "It is alkalizing, it is like superfood for your blood, your oxygen and your cells," she said. "It's amazing." "Spirulina — the superfood you may or may not have heard of — comes from a blue-green algae plant found in oceans and salty lakes. Lauded for centuries for its high nutritional value and health benefits, it’s not just a passing health fad," says the Cleveland Clinic.

3. Not Surprising, She Loves To Dance

Jenna was a back-up dancer before starring in Step Up and she still loves to dance today. "I like going to a fun, upbeat class with loud music, like dance cardio," she said. "I grew up dancing, so I generally push myself a bit harder when I'm around a crowd.”

4. She’s In Touch With Her Roots

She likes dabbling in healthy recipes connected to her heritage. "I'm part Lebanese—my dad's family—so I grew up with tabouli," she said. "It's my favorite. I like to make things that will keep for a couple of days, and I can just grab and go,” she said.

5. She Loves Green Smoothies

Variety's Power Of Women: Los Angeles Event - ArrivalsFrazer Harrison/Getty Images

She makes concoctions in the blender that help her stay full, fit, and even keep her skin and hair healthy. Her go to mix contains greens like spinach and kale mixed with lemon, banana, maybe a little pear, apple, a drizzle of cod liver oil, black sesame seeds, and water. "There’s a reason your mom tried to get you to eat spinach. In light of what dark leafy greens have to offer for health, you might want to willingly eat them. The best of the bunch include spinach, kale and collard greens, and here’s why: Any dark green means the vegetable is packed full of vitamin A, an antioxidant that serves as a huge booster to the immune system and healthy cell growth," says the Mayo Clinic.

Adding a playful pun to her caption, she wrote, “Never tyre’d of a good beach workout.”
So, how does she stay in such incredible shape? From strength training to boxing, here’s a look at her go-to fitness moves.

She Strength Trains

In her Instagram post, Sharvari is seen doing a strength training exercise. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Does Yoga

Sharvari shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is yoga. Sharvari posted this video of herself doing poses on her page. John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga is very beneficial. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

She Plays Padel

Sharvari likes to play padel to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself on the court. Playing padel has a lot of health benefits. Everybody Health & Leisure says, “It improves cardiovascular fitness, helps to build strength and endurance, enhances coordination and promotes overall physical and mental well-being. Not to mention, it’s a fantastic way to burn calories.”

She Boxes

Another thing that Sharvari does to keep herself in shape is box. She first picked this up when training for the film, Vedaa. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself punching a bag. Sharvari captioned the post, “BEAST MODE on for Vedaa! ⚠️☠️🥊 Took up boxing to become Vedaa... Now I am ready to pack a punch or be strong enough to take a brutal beating 💪#Vedaa coming to a theatre near you on August 15th.”

She Runs

Sharvari likes to run to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself running on the beach. She captioned the post, “Decided to seas the day!” Better Health says that running is very beneficial. “Regular running or jogging offers many health benefits. Running can: help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise, strengthen muscles, improve cardiovascular fitness, burn plenty of kilojoules, help maintain a healthy weight.”

Natasa Stankovic in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Wednesday Challenge"

Stankovic shares her go-to workout moves, from squats to lunges, cardio, Pilates, and strength training.

Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Kim French in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Real Results" Workout

Learn how she sculpts her powerhouse physique with deadlifts, lunges, squats, and more.

Kim French is more than just a personal trainer—she’s a fitness coach who empowers thousands through her Believe App and Instagram workouts. Known for her structured, effective home training plans, she proves that you don’t need a gym full of heavy weights to build serious strength.

In a recent Instagram post, French shared a glimpse of her at-home training, reminding followers that smart training delivers "REAL results." Rocking a sleek two-piece workout set, she showcased some of her go-to exercises, emphasizing that with the right strategy, anyone can see progress.

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups.
