1. She Gets Enough Sleep

Even with her busy schedule, Lopez prioritizes her beauty sleep. “The common denominator is always sleep. Resting and restoring is so important for your recovery and overall wellness,” Kirsch said. He also recommends using a device to monitor your sleep. "Set aside no more than eight hours for sleep. The recommended amount of sleep for a healthy adult is at least seven hours. Most people don't need more than eight hours in bed to achieve this goal," says the Mayo Clinic. "Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try to limit the difference in your sleep schedule on weeknights and weekends to no more than one hour. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle."

Additionally, she “stays away from processed foods and gets her nutrients from whole sources.” Egg whites, white meat turkey, chicken breast and grass-fed beef three to four times a week serve as her main protein sources. Healthy fats in the form of fish like salmon and sea bass packed with high levels of omega-3s and 6s and “a handful” of nuts per day are also go-to foods. She also eats lots of veggies and complex carbs like sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa, rice bread and oatmeal, which she’ll eat with fresh berries.

"I always find a way to prioritize my physical and mental health,” Jennifer told Popsugar about her commitment to health. "The more strength we can get in our body by lifting is really something that makes me feel strong, able and empowered. This maximizes the amount of oxygen in your blood. Your heart will beat faster, which increases blood flow to your muscles and back to your lungs. Your small blood vessels (capillaries) will widen to deliver more oxygen to your muscles and carry away waste products, such as carbon dioxide and lactic acid. Your body will even release endorphins, natural painkillers that promote an increased sense of well-being."

Model Elle Macpherson lounged in the sun on her Instagram story this week, and she wore a stunning black bathing suit. Macpherson is on an Alkaline diet, which involves eating foods that affect your body’s pH levels. She told Vogue that this diet helped her clear up her skin. “What I’d always thought were sunspots – actually, they were sugar spots - started to clear, and my skin looked tighter, dewier, plumper,” she said. “I started to lose weight, probably because my sugar cravings had subsided. In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates
